Presidential Politics 2008

I'm surprised that this topic hasn't been made yet, and since I think it's an important topic, I made it.

Basically, it goes like this: Obama, Clinton or McCain?

However, I don't want anyone to say anything along the lines of "No, you're wrong" about someone's opinion. I know it's part of the Serious Discussion Forum, so this should be able to go unsaid, but I'd like to reiterate it.

So it goes like this: Post who you like, and why you like them. Then if you see someone who disagrees with you, argue with them, and try and get them to see things your way, but do it in a way that will make them see it your way as opposed to just saying "No, you're wrong."

Anyways, discuss.

Right now Obama's my favorite, he is a very good communicator, something that America could profit from.

Clinton's entire campaign right now is strictly anti-obama. Mudslinging is very un-appealing to me.

As for McCain, he's a pretty good guy, but I can see him going corrupt as a politician.

Either way my opinion is null, because I'm three months too young. Even if I was able to vote, I live in the second most conservative district in Michigan so my vote has a high chance of meaning nothing.

I'm casting a write-in vote Ron Paul.

If I was going to be serious I'd go for obama. I like the guy. Good chance of standing up to his opponent. Looks brave and amiable.
Hillary Clinton failed to push socialized medicine through congress when Bill was in office. I see her as impotent.
Fuck that McCain guy. He seems pro-war. Seems he's very good with money though, at the very least. I like that about the conservative party.

I'm thinking of casting my vote as an independent. I would vote nader but he's far to keen on dismantling corporate America.

Personally, I'm an Obama fan, and that's not just because we're both Chicagoans. Obama shares a lot of the same views as me, Stem Cell Research, Education, and Net Neutrality being only a few of them. Also, as Derek and Ravi said, the man can talk, he can stand up for his beliefs, and he's willing to get the job done.

Hill-Dog scares me. It's not at all that she's a woman, and it's not all that much her political views that weirds me out. The thing is, is that she doesn't seem like she is really gunna do what she says. I understand that isn't uncommon for politicians, but to me, Clinton seems very two faced.

As for McCain, I actually kinda like the guy himself. However, our stances on many things differ vastly, so he's not my candidate either.

Either way, Obama > Hill-Dog and McCain for me

I'm writing in a vote for Jesus. I think he would make a good president.

Well, I've done my job then.

Eh, I voted for Obama, but I don't really care. I just want the current administration out of office.

I actually asked someone recently to name a few good things the US government has done in the last 4 years.

Their response?

I later apologized though. It was an unfair question. So many things could be interpreted different ways... I mean hell, even GOOGLE didn't know the answer.

Actually, jesus is starting to sound better as a candidate.
