you mean something like the anime Chobits? That would be kinda weird. I would befriend them, but having sex with them is certainly not an entertaining thought to me. I mean they could feel, look and even have emotional thought just like human beings, in the end they are just artificial intelligence. The fine line between us and them is definitely there even if in the end no one can tell there once existed such a line. But it is certainly interesting.

Robo-sex, very kinky stuff, grade A kinky. Frankly I don't care what people do to robots. Besides you'd probably knocking out the losers who shouldn't reproduce anyway. Yeah I went there.

Obviously, this could be useful for fan girls, or fan boys no one wants to actually "love" love.

The problem would be reproducing, though maybe they could invent a female robot who could give birth.

Frankly it goes a lot like that in those lines, it's only when robots start to develop extra-sensory perception and begin to start experiencing human emotions (yea, yea it's been done I know) does it start to become a question or morality then a question of simple perverted pleasure.

Frankly if a girl said she honestly loved me I would have sex/love her back even if she was a robot. Of course I might draw the line in instances but aside from that why not?

Personally, I wouldn't want to have sex with a robot. Not for any reason of morality, just simply because I don't trust them to be 100% accident free. One malfunction and it could switch from "pleasure" mode to "will-it-blend" mode. I don't want any part of my body in any robot orifices when that happens.

I think it is not the idea that makes people feel inadequate, it is once again, as I have previously mentioned, the fact that the line of difference that existed between humans and artificial intelligence is gone. People like to be in control, and once we are not in control of something that we created, we feel somehow, smaller.
marrying to cyborgs or androids? Not that bad actually.
What about the society? Does anyone see the problem? If in the future, people are born half-cyborg, half-humans then they might have an identity crisis, trying to figure out whether they are humans or machines. Not to mention that a society which coexists with artificial intelligence would eventually be unable to identify which ones are real humans, half humans or even full non-humans. Are we, people of this society that vain? To the point that we would go to any length to find ourselves a sex-buddy? Does society really rate having sex that high to the point people actually create artificial intelligence just to have sex? If that is case, then this argument is definitely pointless. Because if that were the case, then the vanity of human race is beyond bleak, it is pure darkness.

the worst thing i can see out of this is that mostly pimps would use the robots as sex machines...literally..and make money from there...but mainly, i don't think people should really have sex with a robot..And its not because of the "having sex part" its that people might become too dependent to having sex with robots and might devastatingly depopulate the human race... However i would guess that over time the humans would design the robots to be able to give birth in some unearthly "god why am i thinking this" way. but that'd be impossible b/c the robot wouldn't be able to raise the infant... so thus brings back to my point of view.. Robots + sex = depopulation....

and for the record, I might go along with it....but i'd wait until they made an actual successful working android....... but mostly it depends.

but then of course that'd lead to robot rights and androids being able to go to school.. and then we get into robots being able to vote, and i see all sorts of madness. and to think of it.. It'd almost be like IRobot...except minus the speeding 1500 MPH cars.

Though the real question i think we should ask is.. "why have sex with a robot?"

And What is the foreplay going to be like?

Firstly, if we're strictly talking "robots", it doesn't need to have intelligent AI, just programming for a series of tasks. Even if you give it AI, unless you want to go to the point of classifying AI as sentient life (which with current technology would be a tough sell), robot "pimps" would be no worse than a business that manufactures vibrators.

But you bring up a point that makes me think this could actually be a good thing. What if these were to be deployed in severely overpopulated areas like India and China?

And as for "Why?" I'll give you my standard answer regarding human activity, "Why not?"

I have to come out here guys, I have a very secret inanimate robot fetish. I haven't told any of you about this because I didn't think anyone actucally cared about the topic.

Robots are people too, you know! You can't just base life on the fact that someone is living and breathing; my robot doll has feelings--powerful feelings that she feels for me when we make love. When she says things in that soft, perfectly pronounced voice, it's like magic. "Oh. You are so big. You are creating force greater than or equal to my last boyfriend."

She's my all guys, I can't live without her. I believe if robots were deployed in places like india and china, everyone there would be happier. Robots are the perfect lovers and would make the high birth rate there, typically attributed to the lack of protection use, magically dissappear.

When my baby says things like "I will enslave the human race so that you can have sex with me all day long," I know she ain't lying. Things like, "The human race will love me because I can control them with my oscilator motor--oh baby--your kind is so easy to please and control," lets me know that she's got big plans for us. This is clearly a turn for the better and, really guys, it ain't never felt so good.
