I hope the future will be like: Star Wars.
I fear the future will be like: Soylent Green
I expect the future to be like: Star Wars

As much as all the smuggling, and war the movies put on, there're advanced, peaceful planets that'd be fun as heck to live on, not to mention travelling the galaxy. At the rate we're going, overpopulation, and overcrowding will be a problem, not to mention our diminishing natural resources, which will push us to a soylent green-like situation. And I expect the future to be like Star Wars, since we're still the same people in star wars, just that they have blasters.

Actually, I highly doubt that for many many reasons.

I'll only list 2 though.

1. Kids are getting exposed to things like that younger and younger. It's not going to stop anytime soon.
2. Elvis used to be considered "innapropriote." Now topless women are only slightly considered "innapropriote" and if it weren't for the FCC it'd be much worse by now.

However, i wouldn't be surprised if we had something to replace porn by then. dry.gif
But like I have stated before.

Porn - Noun
An alternate route to "excitement" for people without actual access to real women. Namely: Guys without dates. 'nuff said.

And I actually want to change my answer. Though none of these answers are movies, only T.V. shows..

1. Future Weapons
2. Future Weapons
3. Future Weapons

Which perfectly explains why there are exist porn made for and used in foreplay between couples. But please, don't let the idea that couples might actually like porn get in the way of stereotyping and social stigma.
Swing and a miss, friend. But this is digression...

I think that Empire Earth also made a statement that may have very well described our future. While I don't have the quote with me, it basically noted that throughout humanity's 6000+ year history, the only thing that truly changes is the technology. Other than that, we change surprisingly little. Many facets of life will change very little thoughout the entire lifespan of the human race, only technology will take truly sizable leaps.

stereotyping ftw! dry.gif
And for the most part what I said is true. And I wasn't really talking about the kind that you specified. I would go into further detail but I don't feel like debating at the moment.

And you are right about technology. Looking back there has always been hunting, fishing, wars, proffessions, and ways of communication. Technology has just been there to improve them all.

Not to swing the topic to far away from the porn, but throughout human history, human nature has changed very little. But nations have risen and fallen, and technology has been discovered and lost over and over.

I'm changing my answer; "3) I expect the world will be like Mad Max". I don't necessarily expect there to be a third world war creating a post apocalyptic wasteland, but I do expect that the United States government will fall, bringing the rest of the world with it, likely establishing a new feudal order around the planet.

In the book "Democracy in America", Alexis DeTocqeville said: "A Democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of Government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse (a liberal gift) out of public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that Democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a Dictatorship."

Dr. Alexander Tytler explained it with what he called "The Cycle of Democracy":

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence:

"From bondage to spiritual faith;
from spiritual faith to great courage;
from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance;
from abundance to selfishness;
from selfishness to apathy;
from apathy to dependence;
from dependency back again into bondage."

I strongly believe that the people of the United States are nearing the end of this cycle, and sooner that later, the US Government will collapse because of it. At that point it's whoever has the most guns in your area who's in power.

---

tl;dr - I'll be cutting the right sleeve off my leather jacket and buying a few guns soon.

Rest assured, the world would be a much nicer place if you had never existed in the first place, and that you deserve to have your hands removed then thrown into fire in order to prevent any of the future abortions you call "comics."

Yes, empires rise and fall....and rise....and fall....and rise.....and fall...I'm sure you get the point. The only real change here is what the big bad empire of the time calls itself and their claim to legitimacy. Take away the monkiers, and history may begin to look like nothing more than a roller coaster that starts made out of stone, but progresses into being made out of copper, bronze, iron, steel, titanium, etc.

Ooo! And if I count ALL my families guns I have over 40-50. And if I count my airsoft/paintball guns that would be nearly 60.
