21 Episodes congradulations for coming this far. Thus far, we have seen Rook and Valor travel through dense forest and it seems like there are more than just trees in that forest. It is in that forest that the two would finally find the rest of their troop and finally get every act together. However, it seems that more than good things lie in the forest. Two mysterious looking figures stalks and vanishes on them. And Orcs attack harmless Nymphs. What could be behind all of this is still a mystery, and all in all, the new found group is now aiming to solve this mystery. Stay tuned for more episodes.

Spritescaper - November 8, 2005 12:37 PM (GMT)
The unidentified pair of wizards in black capes in the early episodes will be making a re-appearance VERY soon.

By the way, the Orcs led by Gorkan had no choice but to attack Kira and the Nymphs. The "Shadows" would have killed them if they hadn't. ;)

Koako - November 14, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Very good. Very good. Ev though it only has 21 epsidoes, the comic has GREAT quality. and I do mean great. It reminds me a bit of 8-bit theater though. =/. But still, the plot is moving along great...blah blah blah. Overall, 9.9/10.

Spritescaper - November 15, 2005 09:40 AM (GMT)
Thanks for those kind words.

I feel... cool. :)

Jace - November 16, 2005 12:57 AM (GMT)
Hmm something tells me those two have something to do with the orcs attacking the Nymph!!... just a hunch...

Spritescaper - November 16, 2005 02:10 PM (GMT)
Sure. But how? And even more importantly... why? [Add suspense here]

Meeko - November 18, 2005 11:16 AM (GMT)
Why?cause there evil...and thats what evil people do...harm stuff

something tells me that the red haired girl(second to last going left to right on spritescapers banner)is going to somehow end up on Valor and Rooks side.

James - November 18, 2005 02:00 PM (GMT)
yeah, nice retro of those black wizards or mages
their appearance always symbolizes some type of downfall in the storyline
I dunno.... maybe one, just one more update per week. I can't wait that long for another episode you know.... it's like waiting for Santa Clause as a child. It's unbearable!! pls, even just one and a half updates per week, update!

Meeko - November 20, 2005 07:58 AM (GMT)

One and a half...now THAT would be suspensfull...ends Mid-comic

James - November 25, 2005 03:46 AM (GMT)
The episodes are little sexist, don't you think, I mean, the one who has feelings for the ones that are about to perish does not always have to the female race now does it? Give the females a chance to be evil will ya? Apart from that, it is a nice episode, now you've sworn an oath to update twice a week, let's see how long you can keep true to it.

Spritescaper - November 26, 2005 05:40 PM (GMT)
Lol, sexist? Don't worry... there will be plenty of female villains along the way. The story is just starting to unfold after all. And yes, I will stick to my "2 updates per week" plan indefinately. There may even be times when I update 3 times per week like I sometimes did in the old days.

Anyway, I'm really glad for the change of scenery in the comic. I was getting really bored of using the same old "forest" backgrounds over and over. <_<

James - November 27, 2005 03:30 AM (GMT)
Hey, the forest looked cool. Nooo...... no more forest. I loved the forest, bring it back.... nooooooo...... But the city/town/something scenery is cool too. Why use such a empty city, get more ppl in there, it is a city full of life. Or has it been wiped out.... (no......) Anyways, great job

Spritescaper - December 4, 2005 06:55 AM (GMT)
No updates for this weekend, and this time, it's actually not my fault. The autokeen update engine, which is responsible for generating all the comic pages, is clogged up again. Without it, I can't put up a new comic.

So much for catching up on my comics. I had a scheduled comic update for yesterday, but of course, it didn't go through. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon.

Meeko - December 4, 2005 08:10 AM (GMT)

Thanks, though it's pretty standard Photoshop stuff. :P

By the way, there's a really easy to spot secret hidden in the first panel. See if you can find it.

Drshnaps - December 4, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
Is it in the window?

Spritescaper - December 5, 2005 02:49 PM (GMT)
Right on.

The picture is too small to make anything out, but it's a subtle hint. It'll make more sense in the following comics.

Drshnaps - December 5, 2005 06:50 PM (GMT)
Go me! I can spot things that are blatantly obvious!

I have no idea what it is though ...

Meeko - December 6, 2005 05:41 AM (GMT)
it is the window? ah i saw that but thought it was something else,i thought i couldnt find blatently obvious things

Jalathas - December 6, 2005 11:29 AM (GMT)
Maybe I'm just insane, but it looks to me like someone's eye looking out at them.
EDIT: And there's the crossbow that shot at Rook! I'm almost positive now that's what it is, the guy who attacked him.
EDIT 2: Or maybe not. I keep looking at the comic and changing my mind.

James - December 6, 2005 11:31 AM (GMT)
Is that a silhoutte of an assassin? Why in the world would someone assassinate Rook with an arrow, it will miss him for sure, I mean he's got his animal instincts. But, wait, let me see.... I know! I sense that the two red haired ppl have something to do with this... Just a feeling.... anyways, did that arrow come from LF2? I sort of feel like it looks like it. Anyways, I have exams starting next Wednesday, I am going to stop posting for a while

Looks like we both had the same idea.

I don't think it could be the assassin. When the shot is fired they are right below the ladder that is propped up against the house, which means if the arrow was coming from that window it'd have to be shooting from the left; but it's shooting from the right instead.

Spritescaper - December 7, 2005 10:34 AM (GMT)
Interesting how such a small little detail could spark such an in-depth discussion...

PS. My exams are starting next week as well, so you may not see new comics from me for a while. Winter Break starts very soon, so I'll be able to make up for all the comic updates I've missed in the past during that time.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it. ^_^

silveradoz71ss - December 17, 2005 03:42 AM (GMT)
I liked this new comic sprite! way to keep with the storyline!!!

Spritescaper - December 17, 2005 09:58 AM (GMT)
Well, I'm glad you think so, because I personally think it's kind of sloppy. -.-

Anyway, in the following comics, I sort of want to get the reader's mind off of the main "plot" for a while, and focus on showcasing the different relationships that are forming among the various characters in the group. (yes, including the romantic kind)

Of course, the seemingly random case with the sniper arrow will be explained in due time as well.

the guy on the left - December 17, 2005 11:43 PM (GMT)
it is good, and now that rol is on the frits again its the best! *thumbs up*

silveradoz71ss - December 18, 2005 03:45 AM (GMT)
That sounds cool sprite I can't wait for you to make them for us to see!!!

umm justin rol is on again

silveradoz71ss - January 1, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
Comic "Girl Power"

Nice it gave me a chuckle. Amazing how being nice and sweet talking them will actually do better than haggling or threatening

Spritescaper - January 2, 2006 12:09 PM (GMT)
Also amazing how persuasive women can be as opposed to men. :)

silveradoz71ss - January 2, 2006 11:47 PM (GMT)
it probably helps the woman if she's not bad looking lmao

James - January 3, 2006 05:18 AM (GMT)
Cute little girl solves all the problems all the time... But wait... why is it that everyone else fails.... I sense something above the fact that she is a cute looking girl... there is something. She is someone special... the man is afraid that if he says no, he'll die. Still not convinced.... why is it that the arrow missed Kira when she always walks next to Rook? still not convinced? what about the fact that the mysterious secret that Kira has not yet revealed... what is it? Why do Gokan want it so badly....? Is it something to do with something? Maybe something terrible that even the wizards are trying to stop?

Spritescaper - January 3, 2006 08:46 AM (GMT)
I'm gonna do a Robert and say "I won't confirm or deny anything until I actually put it in the comic."

No further comments at this time.

silveradoz71ss - January 4, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
Oh oh!! I bet she has these super powers that can aid her in anny shape or form to prevent madness from happening....

James - January 6, 2006 04:05 AM (GMT)
Takes down magical sparkles by showing that there is no such person on Earth that exists. There is no way in any way or form that a girl would have such magical powers to prevent madness from happening, more like she's got the power to destroy the entire planet or something.

James - January 14, 2006 08:46 AM (GMT)
Sprite, I like your comic, but I hope that you do stick to your 2 update per week promise even though it is hard with all the school work and stuff. I hope you can update soon. Just somehow move the story onwards, have them get a map out, look for a plan, seek the evil etc. ANYTHING even if it is as random as them getting stuck on a spaceship that turned them into penguins and then took them to a planet where the person only has to pay one USD for a large feast with all kinds of excellent food as the planet will go through the end of the universe in such a short amount of time that when you are done, the one dollar has accumulated to more than a billion dollars. I don't care, just update it!

Spritescaper - January 14, 2006 12:51 PM (GMT)
Yeah, sorry that I haven't made a new comic in a while. I had originally planned on updating sometime today, but that plan went up shit creek for reasons I can only begin to explain.

If it's any consolation, everyone hosted at comicgenesis hasn't been able to update for well over 24 hours now due to technical difficulties, so you wouldn't have been able to see a new comic even if I DID have one ready in the update queue.

I'll work harder, I promise. :P

silveradoz71ss - January 15, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
I sure hope you do sprite, these moments are killing me!!!

the guy on the left - January 17, 2006 10:08 PM (GMT)
truely, i havent seen a new one in weeks!

Spritescaper - January 18, 2006 09:22 AM (GMT)
Yeah, really sorry about this guys... I haven't been able to make a new comic for a while now due to time constraints. Things should start to get a little better once all my college applications & essays are taken care of, but until then, I really can't promise anything.

Thanks for caring though. I'll try to have a new comic made as soon as I can. Hang tight. ;)
