I dont know if youre agree with this....
but the Pixel Work Forums is getting too many
topics.

should we consider making a rule
so that every member can post
a topic and in this topic is where
he will post all his works images?

you can still ask for replies like "hey guys
what do you think of my no.3 art work.... pls
look at my first post so you can see it".

i myself started gathering all my works and
put them altgether into one topic and named
my topic 'teej's works'.

instead of having multiple topics (that some older
topics are being forgotten and may hard to
get views or replies anymore)....

i guess we shoould implement this.

regards
teej

That's all nice and good for now ...but what about when we have to ask for feedback on a new piece of work and are forced to rearrange all the pic's in the post so as to make the new one noticeable to the veiwer's? Not to mention when a member has a ton of work's it'll make it a bit tough to figure out what a new post is referring to when they say thing's like "that's cool, but the angle's a bit off on the top part".

I can see this way becoming more confusing over a long period of time.

I think that's nonsence.

They don't do that on any
large forums!

I say;
Post away!

well....... how about, we make a general rule that we have to keep it down to one.

I'll monitor this, and if someone posts another topic, depending on it's subject, will either be locked, or just left alone. If someone wants feedback on say, they're avatar, they don't want to post it in the topic where they just want to show off their work. unsure.gif blink.gif

Since the core membership here is fairly well behaved the honor system may work ok. Perhaps a board-wide pm asking member's to keep thier number of topic's to a minimum, maybe even combing them when possible.

And if that dosn't go to well then you could use the more heavy handed approach of just having a mod combining some of the topic's.

use the quote system for this.
delete anything except for the subject
youre are posting about.

and about the instance when someone
has made many works.... we will
consider him to make new topic.

but then there are other place where you can
put all your works... i use Pixeljoint.com

I think its a bad idea having a limit to how many topics a user can make. Its perfectly normal for a forum to have tons of pointless topics everywhere at the start. As the rules get more and more strict, the only topics left will be the ones relevent.

I say make it more clear what topics are allowed, and what topics are not allowed, that might minimise the amount.

I dont think so. But I reckon there should be a date when old works are put in to the earliest topic by that person.

we're not limiting members post topic on 'Works' forum

what im trying to point out is that users must make a topic that will include
all their works (something like a gallery). so members who are
interested in your work can find them in one place.

by the way, one post on a topic can have 15-20 images, i think

That sounds good. I find your teej works topic a good topic. I dont have to search around. But it should have a pinned topic with all the links to the topics there.

yeah, i think its a good idea to
let each member reorganize (copy images) their
artworks into a topic, then the link for this
topic should be put in a pinned topic
example:

WORKS LINKS

click on a name to go to member's works gallery

teej
sohashu
chessmasterriley
ma:lo
monstagames
etc.....

ooh, whoops sorry i misunderstood. Yeah i think its a good idea actually. Although, i think a website might be a bit better for this than a forum, but yeah, one per artist sounds alrite to me.
