A night to remember, waiting for Amalia

[Ethan Marconnett]

Ethan sat at a table for two on the outside of the restaurant. He hoped she would come but wasn't sure. He was dressed as a gentleman and welcomed in with open arms. He wouldn't have been if he had worn his usual attire.
He sat at the table looking around awaiting for Amalia's entrance. He has a red rose on the plate of the seat across from him for his date. He sat there for about 20 minutes....waiting.....

Feeling a bit timid, Amalia looked down at her appearance before walking into the restaurant. Usually Amalia did not dress the way she was now, but under the circumstances, she felt as if this time it was appropriate. She wore a dress of royal blue, which was quite nice and fancy. She had borrowed it from Giselle. In her hair she wore little blue flowers, which was her youngest sister's idea. Her hear was down and lose, except for the sides which were held up with a comb. She looked, well, lady-like...for once. She smiled as she thought of the note that she had recieved from Ethan. She was to meet him here at 6 o'clock...

She took a deep breath and entered the resturant, immediately spotting Ethan. She smiled as she was shown to her seat.

Ethan was shocked and couldnt speak. Instantly, not taking his eyes off of her, ran around and pulled out the seat for her. He smiled widely and took a deep breath. This was the first time he was nervous around a girl. He sat back in his place and smiled at her waiting for her to see the rose on her plate.

Amalia sat down as gracefully as she could.... Her face blushed when she saw the rose. She picked it up gently, lifting it to her nose and smelling the sweet aroma. "Ethan, its beautiful. Thank you."

[Ethan Marconnett]

"Youre welcome my lady." He said sweetly, secretly hiding his excitement. "Now, what would you like to eat and drink, my love?" he asked gently taking her hand from across the table. "I'm sorry if i may come on alittle strong...but you are so beautiful." He said as his eyes twinkled. He came out of the trance and looked around nervously and coughed. He smiled and placed his hands on the table.

Amalia felt a jolt as Ethan's hand touched hers. She smiled nervousl and thought for a moment. What did she want to eat? "Tea would be lovely." She smiled shyly at his compliment.

[Ethan Marconnett]

Ethan smiled. "Then tea it is." He looked around and found the waiter. "Excuse me sir, two teas please." As the waiter walked off to fetch their drinks, Ethan leaned back and examined Amalia. "What's on your mind?" He said randomly staring at her.

A beautiful smile graced Amalia's lips. "Could we have some bread to please?" Amalia asked. She was hungrier than she had thought. Her stomach let out a betraying groan. She thought about Ethan's question silently for a moment. "Nothing too particular really. The ball, food, this town."

[Ethan Marconnett]

Ethan smiled, bit his lip and stretched backward. "That's nice." He said pleasantly. "If you don't mind me asking miss...if it's not too bold. I would like to ask you to another dinner...and maybe before I asked you...maybe wondered if you had an interest in me at all?" He looked at her sweetly with a hint of seriousness and anxiousness.

Amalia shrugged slightly and laughed. "My mind is a very dangerous place, love. To venture there could prove dangerous." Amalia cocked her head and looked at Ethan, a bit stunned, as usual, by his frankness. She smiled and looked down at her hands for a moment, feeling a bit shy as usual. "I should think it would be obvious Ethan. Of course I have an interest. At the very least being friends," She said, her head still down. This strange man had an effect on here and she did have an interest in him. At the very least she wanted to be friends. Maybe more. Time would tell. it would not be a bad thing however, if they became more

[Ethan Marconnett]

Ethan sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Alright then." he said smiling. "Sooo.... is there anything you would like to ask me? Get to know me better.....I'll answer anything." He laughed sweetly and looked at her.

[Amalia Crowe]

"Hmm..." Amalia thought silently for a moment. Certainly there was many things she desired to know about this intriguing man. But what did she want to ask. "Tell me about yourself. What you like to do, where you come from...that sort of thing. Feel free to ask me anything as well."

Ethan leaned back.."well..I dont know..be more specific...hahaha" He laughed and then smiled sweetly.

[Amalia Crowe]

"Well lets start with what brought you to Port Pearl." She smiled as the tea and the bread was brought. She gently picked up her spoon and stirred her tea, while selectinga piece of bread that looked rather tasty.

"Well my dear, I must say that i can not undertake the excitement that i get with adventure. And i happened to stumble onto this place by mistake from a storm. I had no decision to land here, but it is very excepting and comforting." He smiled devilishly and leaned back.
