Recent Posts Capability?

The thing I miss most about EVG was that part on the left side of the screen that always listed the most recent posts that you are capable of viewing. And just being able to click the link for that to jump to the last post in that thread.

Does this forum code allow for anything like that?

If you click the "portal" link near the top left you get something like on EVG... except that it looks a little broken.

Ah, yes. That does sort of show it in a way. I would just end up having to always go to that screen then....and once the display of it works and doesn't have half the data showing all blacked out.

I like the thing for seeing who the top 10 posters are....that's cause I'm the top!

Hmm, yeah, neither Scriffis nor I had checked out the portal thing ourselves, obviously... we'll try to get those graphic glitches fixed up as soon as we can.

As for the recent posts thing, I think the (much more useful) thing you'd be looking for is the "My Assistant" (top right corner of the screen). View "Today's active topics" and you get a nice list of everything that's been active, both new and old.

(By the way, there seems to be a slight bug with the forums that sometimes it won't mark a new reply or new topic with the highlighter... I'm still trying to work this one out. But for now, just be aware to look out for topics which don't necessarily have the shiny orange "new" marker next to them too.)
