Rules, Read This Please. Updated!

{ No Powerplaying }

Absolutely no powerplaying. Unless you have the other person's consent there will be no powerplaying.


{ Registering }

Please when you register, your username should be the name of your character.
EX: You're character's name is 'Tony' than register as 'Tony.'


{ Registration Form }

Please use the form we have provided. Try to complete everything that is there and please try to follow what it says.


{ Accepted / Denied }

If we accept your character, then the bio you put up will be moved to the accepted characters forum. But if we PM you asking you to fix something on your bio you will have 5 days to fix whatever we have asked you to fix. If we deny you (which is probably not going to be often), please do not take it personal and start bad mouthing us. We do not want to have to ban your IP address or anything.


{ Posting / End Threads }

Posting minimum is 3 sentences. Please refrain from posting one liners. It can't be that hard to be creative now can it? Posting wise, please, please end the threads, that's not too much to ask now is it? Also please Refrain from talking OOC in threads too much. If its about the thread its fine just keep it to a minimum. If its not about the thread please do it in OOC Discussions or in PM.

When you end threads you can put one of the following at the end of the thread:

{ Sex / Pregnancy }

Heavy making out is acceptable just don't get waaay too graphic. If it moves into sex, you can either play it out but NOT graphic just try and keep it clean or you can fade to black okay people? Let's keep the board "clean". If you want your character to be pregnant, then contact an admin before you make your character pregnant. We do not want have a baby boom going on here, okay?


{ Swearing }

Swearing is allowed but don't go overboard and have every other word a curse word. We aren't sailors. If you aren't too sure what going overboard is then use the symbols, we will know what you mean.


{ Violence / Deaths }

Violence... let's keep it to a minimal. Slapping, yes, kicking, maybe, sticking a knife to other people eh... would you actually do it? So that means no killing off someone's characters.


{ Literacy }

Please proofread your messages before you post and capitalize what needs to be capitalized. Small mistakes here and there are fine because we know not everyone is perfect, but at least just give your message a once over before you post.

Capitalization of proper names is mandatory, as well as spelling the names of people and significant places and things.

Please Bold what your character is saying and Italicize what they are thinking so the other plays know the difference. Also italicize what the person you are posting with said if you are going to put it in your post. Some people do that to show what they are responding to. It makes it easier on all the players. Thank You.


{ Storylines }

If you have a SL for a certain character, please, let the other character know, so they wouldn't be in the dark. If you have a suggestion then feel free to contact one of the admins with your idea.


{ Reserving A Canon Character }

A canon character will be on reserve for 5 days. We think that is a reasonable amount of time to get a biography up.


{ Original Characters }

Original characters are allowed and you will have 5 days to put up a biography, once again we think that is a reasonable amount of time. If you decide to have your character to be related to one of the canon characters then please contact the person you want your character to be related to first.
EX: If you want your original to be related to Haley, contact the person that is playing Haley and see if it is okay.


{ Avatar Claim }

Once you join as a character please post under avatar claim what actor/actress/model/singer you want your character to be portrayed by. You will have 5 to 7 days to get your avatar claim up, if you claim an avatar it just the same as reserving a character. If you do not put anything up with that time frame then the person you chose will be put up for grabs.


{ Respect }

Please respect everyone on the board. We are all here to role play, and not smack talk each other. If you have a problem with a person on the board, try talking to them calmly. If you just can't handle it then contact one of the admins.


{ No Leyton }

I know not many of you like this rule, but us admins don't like the coupling of Leyton and can't stomach them so no Leyton.

{ Warnings }

Our warning system is a Three Strikes you're out. So if you get warned a third time you will be removed from the board. We don't want to do this but we have have to if there is too much rule breaking from a player.

{ Have Fun and Stay Active }

Have fun! Hehe and please stay active. The more you post the better this board will be. If you are going to be gone for more than 2 weeks please post it under OOC Discussions. If you are inactive for more than 2 weeks and don't let one of the admins know of your absence you will be deleted.

NEW{ Inactivity }NEW

This board does have a specific user group for those players who need a break from the board that may last longer than two weeks, but may wish to return at a later date with the same characters. These characters are placed in an "inactive" status. The characters can be reactivated at any time in the future, however, there is one condition that must be met before the characters will be allowed to post.

NEW{ Return From Inactivity }NEW

It is required of the player to write a bio add-on explaining where the character has been, and why they are now returning to Tree Hill. This add-on will be added to the accepted character bio by a member of the admin staff before the character is reactivated and the bio replaced in the accepted character forums.


NEW{ Permanent Inactivity }NEW

There will be from time to time, certain situations that will require a character to be placed on a permanent inactivity status. This character's account will not be deleted so that the player may continue to view and browse the board, but the character itself will never be allowed to be replaced in an active status.
