Good post Moses512. I have watched 2 complete games with Henson in NFL Europe and I tell you I haven't given up on him either, but I am still concerned. He has done some nice things with his legs and feet and is throwing nice on the run but his pocket passing is still a little inconsistent and he has a slow delivery. He throws hard but it seems like the ball doesn't snap out of his hands. He throws more like a shorstop than a QB.

Why are Eagle fans trolling on a Cowboy post anyway? Don't you have your own topic here: http://s14.invisionfree.com/covertdraft/in...hp?showtopic=50

do you really have to ask? they are eagles fans what do you expect from them. all they do is talk poop about their rivals rather than discuss how to beat them.

I'd rather listen to Eagles fans than the mindless claims of "America's team" that Cowboys fans spew...

BTW, can we have your old stadium when your done with it please? I know we used to be rivals an everything. But heck, we got Larry Allen and you got T.O., so why not. We will even throw in all world tackle Kwame Harris and soon-to-be superstar WR P.J. Fleck to line up alongside T.O.

Let's just get back to football talk and save the insults for the playground. The rivalries in the NFC East are deep indeed, and that is part of the fun of the NFL, but can we get back to the Cowboys here?

So what is your assessment of Drew Henson so far in NFL Europe?

Ok boys. Who do we want? And who are we looking at. I've heard we've been bringing in alot of linebackers which I wouldn't mind because there are alot of serviceable picks around us. Greenway, Carpenter or Ryans maybe? If it were either of the last two maybe a trade down would be in store. Carpenter wouldn't be bad value at 18. I would personally LOVE a Jimmy Williams, Ko Simpson or Jason Allen. We probably only have a chance at the last 2 but weirder things have happened. Outside of that I don't expect a OT in the first round but we may snag one later on. I'm hoping for someone who can play safety in the first round personally.

Okay, my previous anti Cowboys agenda aside, I'm not sure that this is a good draft strategy. I think they might be better off drafting up a bit higher. If they grab a good FS, they will be money.

What's the deal with the dude they got from Texas two years ago...UDFA...Thornton?

what about him, he played well when he played but he was an undrafted free agent and jerry and bill are looking to make a sb run they arent gonna start a second year player who was an udfa, weather he has potential or not, its to risky.

and why do you hate the cowboys so much we gave bernie kosar a place to play when bill bilichick banished him. hate on the pats not the cowboys.

My beefs are usually all around the franchises like Dallas and Gay Bay is that fans hold on to past greatness and act so pompous. Yes, your teams once had great teams, but they aren't anymore. I mean, I'm a Browns fan, and could talk about the influence Paul Brown had on the sport, but I don't. You also don't see me bragging about the greatness of the Browns during the Jim Brown era.

A big part of it is the whole "America's Team" with Dallas. There is no such thing as that. It's basically a nickname they gave themselves (yes I know they were voted America's team back in 1918 or whatever). That's like me making all of my friends refer to myself as "10 inches."

I think Pat Watkins in the 2nd/3rd round range would be a much better value for us. We won't be able to trade up high enough for Huff, and with Jimmy Williams' attitude problems I doubt BP would take him either. Allen will probably be there at 18, but we could trade down and grab him even later in the first or early in the 2nd round.

Right now we don't have a starter at SOLB, so if Carpenter, Lawson, or Wimbley is there I think we'll take one of them.

Last I've heard Parcells is WAY high on Thorton. He has been since the begining. He is one of the hardest workers and and is a great pass rusher. The problem is it might not be smart to put two pass rushers on both sides. One needs to be a run stopper and I'm not sure you can call Wear a run stopper.

ware is actually really good against the run, infact i think he plays the run better than he pass rushes. ware only really uses speed to get past olinemen but when he sees a run coming hes quick to the ball carrier. besides they will have prob bradie james and kevin burnett in the middle for extra support.

Defensive (nose) tackle in the 2nd or 3rd round maybe. Dallas brought in Rodrique Wright for a workout and conducted an extensive interview with Gabe Watson at the Senior Bowl. Watson in the 2nd round and Wright maybe in the 3rd or 4th?

rod wright wouldnt make a good nt unless he put on some weight. if he put on like 15 pounds that would be adequate.

If Wright did it the right way, they'd have him as a DE and slowly transition him over to NT over 2-3 years.

Defensive end is their deepest position, they won't draft Wright to play End. I hope they don't draft the under-achiever at all, but if they do it will be to play the nose. Wright is the same size as Jason Ferguson and 15 pounds heavier than Glover. Wright is a Texas native so it's no big deal that they brought him in. I doubt they draft him unless he slips into the second day.
