The Titans draft looked like this:

1-3: Vince Young 6050 6'5" 229 QB Texas. My grade = A+.
A franchise QB was my favorite of the draft. In terms of total package my favorite was Vince, sure Matt knew the offense better and Cutler is probably the best in terms of mechanics and arm strength, but Vince is special.

2-45: LenDale White 6003 6" 238 TB USC My grade = A.
Not the biggest position of need but in terms of value, great pick. Will be the roadgrader we've lacked since Eddie left. This really allows us to have many different options not only at TB but also in our whole offense. Great pick.

4-102: Calvin Lowry 5110 5'11" 200 S Penn State My grade = B-.
Not a need really with us having signed Chris Hope. However my hope is that Lowry will contribute alot on special teams and provide depth at FS which will allow Vincent Fuller to play mostly as a CB.

4-116: Stephen Tulloch 5106 5'11" 241 LB NC State My grade= C-
Hopefully the Titans know something i do not. I was not impressed by him when watching and at 5'11" 241 am slightly skeptical.

5-137: Terna Nande 6001 6" 232 LB Miami Ohio My grade: A
Should help special teams right away, i really liked this kids potential prior to the draft and really like this pick.

5-169: Jesse Mahelona 6004 6'1" 311 DT Tennessee My Grade: B+.
I like the pick as it provides us with depth, should compete with with Jared Clauss or we could possibly keep 5 DTs on roster.

6-173: Jonathon Orr 6'2" 198 WR Wisconsin My grade B.
Tall, fast WR who could develop into something.

7-215 Cortland Finnegann No Measurables DB Samford
Never heard of him prior to this

7-245 Spencer Toone LB Utah
Don't know

7-246 Quinton Ganther TB Utah
I did like him prior to draft

Overall draft = B

Getting Vince Young and LenDale White was a coup. They were the two best players in the biggest college football game of the decade. Both have a few scores to settle over the way they were treated since that time as well. I'm a bit envious, although there is certainly some risk involved with the pair.

James Bond has accused Albert Haynesworth of reckless driving.

Oh, and I think the Titans made a mistake by drafting VY 3rd overall.

The Titans need to quit jerking Steve McNair around. He has won the right to work out there, but now they're saying he has to take a physical first. They hope to work something out before he gets the physical done.

If I were McNair, I'd get it done really quick and get in there - force the issue.

The agent for RB Chris Brown is trying to get the Titans to agree to let Brown talk about getting a trade.

Teams reported interested are Texans and the Broncos

Texans might come out the winners with Dom Davis having his knee jacked up.

i dont see brown fitting in houston. he doesnt really catch the ball well with his hands. of course neone could work in denver. but i hope to see a full season of ron dayne in that offense with tatum bell coming off the bench to rip off 60 yd tds

Houston is the same offense as Denver now. I don't know why anyone would want Brown... High risk, low reward situation... Always injured and isn't even that good anyway. The Titans are trying to make him look better than he is to get more out of a deal, but Henry and White are both a lot better than Brown, and I'm not sure Brown is that much better - if at all - than Payton or Ganther.

Titans signed QB Kerry Collins today. Terms unknown, no word on if he'll be assuming the starting job or just a short term backup...

Wait, can we have a Vince Young argument, too?

They should've taken Leinart, then TEN wouldn't be stuck with the drunken Collins.

No, I can't get started on VY. I think he's going to blow.

I'm torn on Vince. Definitely the biggest risk/reward player in the draft. I've compared him to both Steve McNair AND Tommie Frazier. I just can't really gauge his arm or his athletecism properly. Obviously, he's a hell of an athlete, but teams did not really attempt to do anything special to slow him down, so it's hard to say whether or not he's a Vick-type talent or not. As for his arm, he completed a lot of passes, but they never were particularly accurate or with great velocity. He's got such a dynamic personality and great leadership skills, though, that I have a hard time seeing him fail.

I dunno. I really wish Carroll hadn't dropped the soap and SC had actually put up a good defensive effort against him instead of acting like he was just another Pac 10 QB.
