Against Oklahoma State it appeared the team made great strides in becoming what they want to be. This is a VERY young team, the starting QB and starting TB are both true freshmen.

The game against Nebraska this weekend should be interesting, i'm not saying K-State is going to win, however it honestly wouldn't surprise me much if they were to pull an upset.

THE DEPTH CHART:

QB: Josh Freeman 6'6" 238 TFR
TB: Leon Patton 5'7"184 TFR
TE: RaShaad Norwood 6'3" 229 JR
WR: Jordy Nelson 6'3" 217 JR
WR: Yamon Figurs 5'11" 173 SR
TE: Jerome Mastrud 6'6" 255 TFR
LT: Greg Wafford 6'3" 339 SR
LG: Caleb Handy 6'1" 313 SO
C: Brad Rooker 6'6" 291 SO
RG: Brock Unruh 6'5" 301 RFR
RT: Nick Stringer 6'6" 271 RFR

DE: Ian Campbell 6'5 232 SO
DT: Quinton Echols 6" 316 SR
DT: Blake Seiler 6'2" 254 SR
DE: Eric Childs 6'3" 230 RFR
LB: Reggie Walker 6" 233 SO
LB: Zach Diles 6" 240 JR
LB: Brandon Archer 6" 239 SR
CB: Byron Garvin 5'10" 180 JR
FS: Marcus Watts 6'2" 180 JR
SS: Kyle Williams 6" 201 SR
CB: Justin McKinney 5'9" 185 JR

Looking at the depth chart, its clear this is a young team, and a win against Nebraska would be a huge boost to the morale of Kansas State University

I hear Leon Patton looked really good last week. Darren Sproles esque? If so, he's gonna be a scary weapon for ya'll in the future.

Freeman should be a good one in time. I studied him a lot when he was committed to Nebraska last year, he just seemed so raw. I'd imagine he'll go through some growing pains throughout the season, but he has a very, very high ceiling.

Here's to a good, injury free game on Saturday. I'm hoping the Huskers can finally get a W in Manhattan again. And make sure when you guys face CU that you don't ruin their "perfect" season. :D

Congrats on the win, yeah Patton had a hell of a game against OSU not so good against Nebraska though lol.

It is a young team and i'm proud that we put up a fight against Nebraska, the scoreboard might not show it, but the past 2 games i think this team has really grown.

Freeman had a decent day, until that last minute INT his stats weren't bad either

Indeed. Didn't get to see the game, but Freeman was holding his own and picked on Andre Jones all night (but then again, who hasn't?) Kid has unlimited potential. He's gonna be scary in a year. From all I hear though Patton should be good, rush D is our strength though. Good luck the rest of the season, and PLEASE beat Misery next weekend.

Uhh...Freeman's stats are attrocious... Less than 50%, threw the ball 48 times and only had 270 yards and 3 points on the scoreboard? He also "ran" for -29.

He's a true freshman in his second start going against one of the best front sevens in the nation. I thought he held his own pretty well. He's gonna be a very good one.

NEPG, you aren't looking at the stats right.

For a true freshman QB who had NO HELP from a running game, those are pretty good stats.

Next he was sacked 4 times for -35 yards.

His official stats:

23/47 2 ints 272 yards, sacked 4 times for -35

Scrambled once for 6 yards

How about Freeman' stats now?

22/26 251 yards 2td's 0 ints

I think we have a shot to at least put up a fight against Texas this weekend, if not pull an upset
