Collision

Earl looked up and saw his CO with MACO CO at the bar...Then Earl adressed to his CO:"Ma'am, would you like to join us, plenty of room for you and mr. MACO here..."

Mari had been about to respond to Evans when her XO spoke up and her brow furrowed just a bit. "Show a little more respect to him Mister Armstrong." she said, her gaze somewhat chilly, "And thank you but no, I'm fine right here."

She then turned her attention towards Evans. "I'm doing well, yourself?"

Alon cocked his head and gazed at the group, wondering if he really belonged with these officers.

"Do I need to make myself scarce?" he asked more toward McCoy, than any other.

Evans smiled. "I'm good. These strange power interruptions are really annoying, but other than that I'm good."

Alon shrugged his shoulders and continued eating, figuring someone would talk to him eventually. Sometimes being the only Senior Officer there, makes others nervous, so he would simply be as unassuming as he could and not try to force himself on anyone.

Picking up her order she went over to where the head doc and Lieutenant were sitting, "Sure I won't be intruding?" said McCoy with a smile. "How are you feeling Lieutenant? Haven't had a chance to check up on you since you got out of sickbay." she added.

"Not at all...please, sit down...im feeling ok, thx for asking, what ever you gave me seems to be working...I kinda thought to pay you a visit in sickbay once im done here, but it seems you are off duty, so i'll just have to wait 'till your next shift" Earl smiled. Obviously he could have someone else check him out, but he wanted Aliesha to do it...

"That's good, you have become comfortable with Doctor McCoy. I don't mind that at all, just as long as you are taken care of," Alon piped up, quietly.

"No problem Lieutenant, I'll be back on duty in 24 hours." said McCoy. "The doc here has granted me 24 off as I have been on duty almost since I came on board." she added with a grin. "I tend to be a workaholic if I don't watch myself." she added.

"How about you Doctor Alon? When will you take some time off? You have been just as busy." she said grinning.

Alon chuckled.

"I will as soon as it quits getting so busy. Just when I think things have calmed down, somebody goes and gets hurt, or some one uses this ship for target practice," quipped Alon.

"Yeah that's no kidding... three times we've had to reconfigure the security codes for the armory within the last few hours." she said rather sourly. "It's getting tiresome."

Evans nodded. "I'm going to have a little chat with Alana the next time I see her." He looked over to the ever increasing group. "Would you like to join them?"

"Not particularly," she answered with a light shrug, "But if you would like to, please feel free to do so."

"Alright," Evans replied. "Tell me: What are your feelings about the Lexington?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure. She's got an engineer who's a known thief, a bunch of officers who's service records aren't the most sterling in the Fleet and the Captain himself seems to be somewhat of a Maverick. You?"
