[Cheyenne Dawson]

Andie had been on her way back to the common room when one of the staircases changed on her. Instead of ending up in the common room, she found herself near the library. "Good enough," she said to herself with a shrug and walked in. She needed to get a little bit of homework done before the weekend started.

[Rich Morena]

Rich sat in the library leaning back in a chair, and reading a horror book when he heard someone come in. Sitting back down correctly, he watched to see who it was. When Andie walked in he smiled and put his book down. "Howdy." He said with a grin.

[Amanda Collins]

Amanda had to get some homework done, so she walked the library and sat down taking her books out. She opened her potions book and started writing the essay they were assigned. Mandy decided to look around. She spotted a boy and a girl sitting around talking. She was pretty new and needed to make new friends so she walked up to them. "Hey",she said. "My name is amanda, amanda collins",she added. "Can i sit with you?"

Andie had just started reading the assigned chapter when she heard a familiar voice. "Howdy," Rich said as he walked over to her. She looked up, smiled, and said, "Howdy yourself," to him as she shut her book. "What's going on with you?" Andie asked him.

As she asked, a Gryffindor girl appeared. She seemed nice, and asked to sit with them. "Sure." Andie said, the smile still on her face. "Nice to meet you Amanda. I'm Cheyenne Dawson, but everyone calls me Andie." Andie moved her stuff over to give Amanda some room to sit and put her stuff down.

[Rich Morena]

"Well, we're just a good ol' bunch of howdiers aren't we?" He said with a smile. "And what would we be reading?" He asked to both girls.

[Cheyenne Dawson]

"I hate to break it to you, but you don't do Western very well." Andie said, teasing him. It was always funny for her to see people try and talk like she did. It used to bother her when people made fun of her, but now people were old enough to not do that.

"It's this fascinating book," Andie said with mock interest, "all about Potions: what they're made of, where they came from and how to make them!" She finished with a flourish, then dropped her happy pretense and pushed the book away. "I hate potions," she said, looking at the book as though it had nothing better to do than make her life miserable.

[Rich Morena]

"Well, if I was trying to talk western, I'd be wearing a hat and cowboy boots now wouldn't I?" He said with a smile, attempting to tease her back. "But potions aren't that hard. Just exact measurements of randomly assorted rat parts." He said with a cheerful grin.

[Cheyenne Dawson]

"Well I'll stick with cowboy boots and you can take potions," she said with a smile. "That seems to work better."

[Rich Morena]

"I suppose so, but ya know, I do like honkeytonk every now and then! Nothing like the actual classic country to cheer you up, or make you sad. I dare say it's the master music of mood swings!" He said laughing.

[Cheyenne Dawson]

"You are so awful." She said with a laugh, giving Rich a quick shove, but not actually trying to push him. "I'd do a British accent but everyone here except me talks like that, so it wouldn't be nearly as effective. If you were back where I lived, though, then you'd see what it's like to have people teasing you." She smiled, thinking about a British kid out in Iowa. That'd be funny. Of course, she wasn't really mad at all about people teasing her anymore. It just made her smile. She had not only gotten used to being different, but she liked it.

[Rich Morena]

"Hey, I'm not english, I'm irish!" He said in an irish accent with a laugh. "Oh yeah, I'd love to see a british kid in Iowa. That would be one of the funniest things ever." He said with a smile.

[Cheyenne Dawson]

"Well, I'm so-rry," Andie said with a smile. She knew the English got all upset when you confused the English with the Scottish with the Irish and such, but honestly there wasn't a huge differences in the accents. Andie could tell, but it was always so much easier to just say everyone was English. Or British, whichever one covered all those little islands.

[Rich Morena]

"Ehh, it's fine, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. Besides, I've developed an american accent as you can see." He said with a smile. "But, so yeah, you were born in Iowa then?" He said with another smile.

[Cheyenne Dawson]

"Oh no, I'm just kidding," Andie assured him. "I've gotten used to being different. I kind of stick out around here. If the accent doesn't throw people off, they ought to see me when I'm not in school uniform. I'm sure what I wear is way different from what y'all wear." Andie shrugged.

"But, so yeah, you were born in Iowa then?" Rich asked. Andie nodded. "Yup. Born and raised in Ellsworth, Iowa. Tiny little town basically populated by my family and friends. It's not far from Des Moines, the capital of the state. Though that's not saying much," Andie said again, still smiling.

[Rich Morena]

"Hmm, I lived in a town of fourty people in california when I was young. But my parents decided that when he-who-must-not-be-named was gone, they should return to their roots or something of the sort." He said with mock enthusiasm.
