Care Bear's III: Revenge of the Spirit Book

This is what we had on SHRH:

The small circus was light up bright, and busier as usual for a early Saturday evening. And Nicholas Cheerywood had just finished his first act.

He walked off the stage from a job well done. It would be twenty minutes till his second show so he decided that was going to get a bite to eat and then go freshen up a bit...

Not to far from Cherrywood's stage, the leaves blew around the legs of a little girl, aprox. five years of age. She put some strands of her black hair behind her ear, and continued walking down the nearly deserted street. As she passed an alley, she saw movement out of the corner of her eye, and heard the familiar, bone chilling laughter of some teenage thugs.

They were staring at her, laughing, and talking in hushed voices amongst each other. The first one, wearing a sweater that was two sizes to big, that had a skull on the front, blue jeans that had holes in the knees, and wore a red baseball cap sideways, walked toward her, his buddies following. Emma had half a mind to run away, but her other half told her to stay. "Oh, look, it's the little cry baby," the leader thug, Jeremy, sneered, walking up to Emma. "Do you want me to apologize for killing your little puppy, wittle girl?" His buddies snickered, trying hard to contain their laughter as Emma's hands turned into clutched fists. One of Jeremy's buddies didn't find it very funny, and just watched solemnly.

Emma remained silent, turned on her heels, and continued walking down the sidewalk, the thugs laughter following her.

Walking down the side walk she kept her eyes to the ground. "They'll pay for ever laying eyes on Lynn," she hissed quietly. "They'll see." "Yes, they will," a hushed voice said. Emma froze in her steps, and looked around. She saw another alley close to her, and saw many old trash bags that could've been lying their for years. The buildings near this part of town were all abandoned, no one bothered to visit them any more, much less pick up the trash on a weekly basis. Emma spotted a crate beside the old, steps of an abandoned antique store. She knelt beside the crate, and tried to open it. It was a little stubborn, but after awhile, she finally got it open. Inside was a book with a face on it. Emma attempted to open it, but it wouldn't open. There was a lock on the mysterious book, so Emma looked inside the crate for the key. She spotted the rusty, old key in a corner of the crate, picked up, and put it in the key hole. Without hesitating, she unlocked it, and the book blew open in her hands...

Meanwhile, in the clouds of Care-a-lot, Tender Heart was watching Mr. Cherrywood through his star-o-scope. "It's been a long time," Tender Heart said aloud. "Maybe we should go down to earth and watch Mr. Cherrywood's next performance." He turned to Grumpy, who said that it was a grand idea.

Strange shiver ran up Nicholas spine as he entered his trailer. A familiar feeling crept over him, a dark feeling he had not felt since the day he came across the evil book. Could it be... he thought to himself. No it couldn't be, Kim, Jason, and I locked that cursed book years ago... he said to himself.

The Spirit Book's face rematerialized, blacker then that of the darkest hour. Her light green eyes stared at Emma, a small smirk upon her face. "You want to get revenge on someone, don't you?" the Spirit Book asked, raising an eyebrow. Emma looked at her uncertainly, and then nodded slowly. Normally, she would drop such a book, and run away, but something made Emma stay, holding the book with care.

"That is another thing we have in common, yes?" the Spirit Book asked with a small chuckle, then her face grew solemn. Emma gave her a questioning look, not sure what she meant. "You are curious," the Spirit Book stated, looking around as if to make sure no one was listening. "I too, am loved by no one. No one cares for me, all because I am...different. And I know how it feels to have the only one who loved and cared for you be taken away."

Emma looked away, not wanting to talk anymore about such a subject. "You hurt deeply," the Spirit Book acknowledged, keeping her eyes on Emma. "Very deeply; but I know how to repair your wound." Emma looked at the Spirit Book questioningly. The Spirit Book nodded. "Revenge is the key to heal our deepest wounds," the Spirit Book explained slowly. "But in order to get revenge on those who have hurt us, we must join forces. What do you say? Friends?"

Emma wasn't sure about trusting a talking book, after so many people hurt her...but this 'spirit' seemed to have suffered as much as she had, and wouldn't pass up the chance to help another in need....

Tender Heart rode in his cloud car towards earth, with Grumpy in the passangers seat, and Hugs and Tugs in the back. "I hope we're not late," Tender Heart said under his breath, as he landed his cloud car behind a merry-go-round that was currently not in use, for all of the kids were watching Mr. Cherrywood's magic act.

Mr. Cherrywood's performance was incredible. He bowed to the loud roar of applause from the crowd, and then disappeared behind the curtains. "Let's go congradulate him," Tender Heart suggested, turning to Grumpy. Grumpy nodded his head in agreement, and the two made their way to the stage. The children did not notice them, as they were to busy talking to one another about the amazing Mr. Cherrywood.

Mr. Cherrywood went backstage, took off his hat, and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. What he didn't know, was that he was being watched by an old foe, and a little orphan, who hid behind some crates of magic things...

"What do you want me to do?" Emma asked in a low whisper when she saw Mr. Cherrywood walk into the room. "You will read this spell," The Spirit Book instructed, looking down at some words. "But only when I tell you to do so. Until then, we must be silent."

Tender Heart and those with him walked into the backstage area, and found Mr. Cherrywood. "Hello, Mr. Cherrywood," Tender Heart greeted cheerfully, walking up to the magician.

Nicholas turned around his eyes widened with surprise when he saw Tender Heart, Grumpy Bear, and Hugs standing behind him. "Oh, hello!" he said with a smile. "Long time no see. how have you guys been?" he asked.

At the corner of Nicholas’ eye he caught sight of Emma hiding behind the stage props. 'What on earth that little girl doing back here?' he thought to himself.

Hugs smiled a cute smile. She had been brought long with Tender Heart and Grumpy for a training purposes, and she was excited. This was the first training mission on Earth.

You see Tender Heart and Grumpy had a second reason why were had come to caravel it was also to help a little girl named Emma who felt like she didn’t have a friend in the world. However, they had lost track of the little girl.

“Oh we’re doing fine, Nicholas… we saw your show. It was great.” Tender Heart replied. “You’ve gotten sooo much better with you magic.”

Nicholas bowed with gratitude. “Well I try my best.” he said with a smile.

“Well, we were wonder though… if you’ve seen a little girl named Emma wondering around your caravel by any chance?” Grumpy asked getting right to the point.

“Yeah we’re here to help her!” Hugs added in. However a sharp look from Grumpy made her step back. “Sorry… I know trainees don’t talk… they just watch…” she said. She swallowed hard. Hugs wasn’t the best care bear in training but she was trying her hardest to prove herself.

“Well… I’ve seen a lot of little girls run in out of my tent day in and day out. It’s awfully hard to keep tack of them.” Nicholas replied. He glanced over the little girl’s hiding place once again. “But… now that you’ve mentioned it there is a little girl hiding here…” he said turning his full attention on the girl’s hiding spot. “Okay, we know you’re in here… you can come out now…” he said.

Emma froze when she realized they were talking to her. The Spirit Book quickly flipped to a page. "Just stand up, turn to them, and say these words," The Spirit Book whispered quickly, giving the orphan a reassuring smile. Emma slowly stood up, and turned to face Mr. Cherrywood, and the three Care Bear's. "Altigera, Flatoro!" Emma read aloud, looking up at Mr. Cherrywood expressionlessly.

"What...?" Tender Heart began, noticing the book Emma held in her hands.

"Ahhh!" Nicholas cried out.

"Nicholas get out of here!" said Tender Heart called out. "Hugs you too! You can't handle this!" he ordered.

"What I can't help!" Hugs asked feeling a her pride wounded.

"Not now Hugs! Get out of here!" Grumpy yelled out.

Nicholas grabbed Hugs and took off running. "Let me go I can help!" Hugs cried.

"No you can't! That book will eat you alive! Let the grown up handle it baby Hugs!"

Hugs struggled out of Nicholas' arms. The half grown care bear looked him square in the eyes. "I'm not a cub anymore, I don't need to be babied thank you very much!" he said.

Meanwhile Tender Heart and Grumpy Bear gave the book and Emma a Care Bear stare.

The Spirit Book blocked Emma from the stare, and flipped to another page. "Read this," the Spirit Book said quickly. "Nits, vix, sticks," Emma read aloud. Large gusts of air appeared in the form of a tornado, and slowly it grew larger and larger, until it tore the tent away, exposing everyone to the might of the tornado. But it did not last long. It vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving no trace of Emma, the Spirit Book, or the tent.

"Are you okay?" Tender Heart asked, running to Mr. Cherrywood and Hugs, Grumpy beside him.

"What was that?" Hugs asked wide eyed.

"That was something, that should have never been set free..." Nicholas said. "We need to go call a family meeting!" said Nicholas. "This isn't good at all..."

Tender Heart agreed, and used his tummy symbol to create a cloud car. He hoped into the drivers' seat, Grumpy slipping into the passengers' seat. "Come on, Hugs," Tender Heart said kindly, looking at the Care Bear trainee.

Meanwhile, Emma and the Spirit Book were in search of a good lair, where the Care Bear's would have difficulties finding, and getting into. "Ah, well," said the Spirit Book wearily. "Let us pick a place that is obvious, yet not quite to obvious." Emma nodded thoughtfully, thinking hard. "I sleep in an abandoned apartment building," Emma said finally, walking down the familiar alleys that led to her place. "It has a ton of stuff we could use."

Hugs got into the car, still feeling a little disappointed that Grumpy and Tender Heart had yet again cheated her out real caring mission action. She frowned the whole trip home. It just isn't fair... Hugs pouted. I have a tummy symbol why can I use my care bear stare? It works just about as good and theirs does...

"Yes, yes, this place will do nicely," the Spirit Book commented, as Emma set her on a podium beside a choldren that hung over a fire, the green water boiling. "We need to take care of those, furry little bears before we will be able to get at Nicholas," the Spirit Book said, more to herself then to Emma who awaited her next order.


Swift Heart Rabbit
The apartment complex was ravaged by time. Part of the building had been torn down before funding for such projects ran out. Because of the danger, few were brave enough to enter the derelict structure.

The only exceptions being those individuals known as 'urban explorers', and as luck would have it, a pair of them were exploring that very apartment complex as Emma and the book made their way into it.

"Did you hear something?" asked Kim.

"I don't think so," said her younger brother Jason. He had wanted to go exploring on his own, but his sister had put her foot down, insisting that if he had to go and do something as foolhardy as this, she was going to tag along.

meanwhile in Care-a-lot the Care Bears and Nicolas were having a meeting.

"I say we get that book before it strikes us! Who's with me!" Brave Heart declared.

"Brave Heart sit down, you know we can't act that rash with this situation! The book has Emma under her control! This situation’s going to get serious!" replied Tender heart.

Brave Heart sat down and frowned. "Then what are we going to do Tender Heart? We know what that evil book is capable of!"

"I know... has anyone found Kim and Jason?" Tender Heart asked.

"No..." replied Grumpy.

"I can go look for them?" Hugs volunteered.

Tender Heart shook his head. "Absolutely not! Right Earth is too dangerous for rookie like you to be wandering around Hugs!" he replied.

"I'll be with her," said Tugs.

"You are both rookies, I don't think so! You two stay here where it is safe! you're not getting involved in this!" Grumpy said.

"What, it just a simple track down mission! it's not like were going to run into the enemy!" Tugs whined.

"Yeah, come on Grumpy, Tender Heart, we promise will do a good job!" said Hugs.

A few minutes later, Kim stopped her brother again. "Do you..." Kim began in a hushed voice, looking at Jason as the crouched behind a few boxes. Jason nodded, listening to the sound of boiling water. "Nobody has lived here for eons," Kim said, frowning. "Let's investigate, Jason."

At the sound of something that might turn into an adventure, Jason nodded excitedly, and followed his sister towards the sound, which was just in the other room. They opened an old, rotten door just enough for both of them to peak inside, and gasped at the scene before them.

As the meeting moved on with arguments and whatnot. Everyone's attention was taken off of Hugs and Tugs and on to the issue at hand. And with this moment the two slipped out of the room silently and made their way over to the rainbow rescue beam. If they were going to make their escape they might as well do it right! Hugs walked on to the plat form, while Tugs pushed in the code to beam them down to earth where Kim and Jason were.

The Rainbow Rescue Beam began to light up and the moment Tugs jumped on to the plat form they were whisked away to earth...

Just as they beamed out Grumpy and Tender Heart rushed into the room. "Oh no! They snuck off! Just when we thought things couldn't get any worst, those two trouble makers turn and add more flue to the fire! This is not what we need!" Grumpy grumbled.

"I know, Grumpy calm down! We just need to get the Rainbow Rescue Beam to beam them back!" Tender Heart said as he walked over to the control panel.

However just them a cloud quake hit shaking the clouds like never before!

"Good, good," the Spirit encouraged Emma. "Keep chanting. You are doing very well." Emma nodded at the Spirit Book, and kept chanting the same spell, over and over, the green water in the choldren turned purple, dark blue smoke billowing from it, reaching the ceiling of the room. The dark blue smoke polluted the air, and anyone who breathed to much of it, lost their feelings, becoming cold, and cruel.

Kim and Jason quietly shut the door, exchanging glances of disbelief. "I can't believe it..." Jason said quietly, shaking his head sadly.

Just then Hugs and Tugs appeared behind the two. Hugs tapped Jason on the shoulder.

Jason jumped as he turned around. "Ah!" he screamed. He stopped screaming when he noticed the two Care Bears standing behind him. "Wow! Where did you two come from?!" he asked.

"Umm... it complicated." replied Tugs.

"Just come with us, you're needed in Care-a-lot." said Hugs as she took Jason's hand.

"I take it the Care Bear's know about the book too, huh?" asked Kim.

"Yes, and we need to get out of here now!" said Hugs.

Hugs pulled out the small device to beam them back up. However it didn't work. "What? Oh no did I break it..." Tugs exclaimed.

Suddenly the door to the room flung open, and the four jumped into the nearest hiding place they could find.

"We know you're out here, somewhere," the Spirit Book called, as Emma stepped out of the room, carrying the book carefully in her hands. Emma walked around a bit, scanning the area for them. Kim and Jason held their breath, not daring to move a muscle. However, Jason sneezed loudly, grasping the attention of Emma and the Spirit Book. "Read this," the Spirit Book said quickly, flipping to some other pages. Emma read the spell like a skillful scorcerer, and both of the children and cubs vanished into thin air.

"Good now those bears and those two meddlesome (sp) brats will be out of the way!" The Book said.

* * *

Hugs opened her eyes. It was dark for a long while. "Where are we?" Hugs asked a little scared.

"I don't know Hugs... but it appears we are not home or on Earth..." Tugs replied.

"Kim, Jason? Are you guys alright?" Hugs asked.

"I think so..." Kim managed to reply.

"I'm alright. It's sooo dark in here..." Jason replied.

A cold shiver ran through out Hugs' body. She hugged herself trying to keep worm. "It's cold in here too..." she said in a shivering voice.

"Where'd you send them?" Emma asked, looking around. "Somewhere the Care Bear's will never find them," the Spirit Book sneered. "With them looking for their friends, that will leave Nicholas vulnerable." Emma nodded, and walked back into the previous room, placing the Spirit Book on her podium, and awaited her next instructions.

In Care-a-lot, all of the Care Bear's and Care Bear Cousin's climbed into their cloud cars, and rainbow rollers; ready to take off in search of Hugs, Tugs, Kim, and Jason. "Brave Heart, you and the cousins can look for Kim and Jason," Tender Heart said. "We'll find Hugs and Tugs."

Emma used her bare hand to dig deep in the earth around a plant until she found what she was looking for. "Daisy roots," Emma said under her breath, collecting the roots in one hand, and used the other to tear the flower and the roots apart. She put the roots in her small bag, and stood up, looking around for the last thing the Spirit Book had told her to get.

Emma picked up a piece of rubble, and looked underneath it, but didn't find the item. Instead, she found a spider, that scurried away for shelter. Wrinkling her nose, Emma let the stone drop, and she walked away, still looking for the last item.

"Well, one things for sure we aren't going to get anywhere if we keep walking in in the dark like this," said Jason as he stuck a match.

"Here's I have a better idea," Said Hugs and her tummy symbol gave off a light glow. Jason watched as the match floated from his hand turned into a small ball of fire. as soon as the ball of fire merged with Hug's tummy symbol it turned into a lantern. The fire ball glue brightly giving off enough light for everyone to see. Hugs smiled pleased with her work. She didn't know if doing this was bad and against training rules. She didn't even know how she made the lantern. She tilted her head to the side realizing that everyone was looking at her oddly. "What the matter?" she asked feeling a little self conscious.

"Who are you?" was the fist three words that came out of Jason's mouth. The young boy was in complete amazement of the lovely young lady who stood in front of him dressed in a light pink out fit. Her long cherry blond hair, and soft light brown eyes melted Jason heart. He had never seen anyone like her before. He didn't realize that she sounded just like Hugs. Actually if he had just looked at the necklace around the young girls neck, he would have seen the locket shaped as her tummy symbol and known right away that she was indeed Hugs.

However, it took Kim to point that out. "This is Hugs... Jason..." she said. She was just as much surprised as her little brother was. She had never seen a Care Bear do something like this. She looked over at Tugs, and gasp escaped her lips.

"That's not my sister!" Tugs replied with arms folded. "What happened to my sister?" she asked. At this point his tone and voice kind of reminded the two kids of Grumpy Bear.

"Oh my..." was all that Kim could say. Tugs was a human too. She knew from his locket that he wore around his neck that was shaped in his tummy symbol, and very gorgeous looking boy with light blue hair and the same soft brown eyes as hugs. Even with the frown on his face he was beautiful. One could tell the two were fraternal twins just by their faces.

"What with you guys! Now your looked at me the same why you're looking at that girl... what happened, where's my sister" he said waving his hands around franticly.

"Humm... Tugs... your a human..." she said as she took his hand in hers, and show it to his face.

Tugs pulled away from Kim, looking as both his hands in compete shock. He mouth dropped open, unable to much of word out excepted. "I'm a.... I'm a..." He looked over at Hugs. "Then your... my..."

It took a minute for it settle in with Hug. It took seeing her refection in the lantern glass to make her realizing that she was no long a pink fluffy care bear. "Oh dear... this can't be good at all... what are we going to do about this?" she asked.

"What's wrong?" Tugs asked.

OOC: No, not at all. The longer the better I always say.

BIC: "Do you think that this place has something to do with Hugs and Tugs' sudden change in appearence," Jason asked, still staring at Hugs, and then glanced at Tugs. Kim thought for a moment, and looking around the cave, she nodded slightly.
"It's highly possible," Kim responded finally as Hugs held up the lantern, causing the shadows to retreat to the darker parts of the cave.
"Let's find out where 'here' is," Tugs suggested, still staring at his human hands. "I'd like to get out of here and return to my Care Bear body...being a human feels weird."


Meanwhile, Tender Heart and the Care Bear's were searching in Mr. Cherrywood's hometown for the cubs, while the cousins searched for Kim and Jason, so far, they hadn't had any luck.

The four made their way out side the cave. Seeing light never made them more happier. "Yay, we're at the end of the cave. They said as she they ran out. They stopped running when realized they were in some kind of forest. Tugs frowned seeing that Hug nor himself had changed in form. They were still humans. He was worried with the other Care Bears were going to think about this. Could this happening jerodise they future as a Care Bear? Tugs didn't want to find out. "We need to find someone who can turn us back into Care Bears. We can't stay like this. We'll never be able to become true care bears if we are humans..." he said, his expression was serious.

"I don't think the cave had anything do with this... I think it was the spell Emma casted..." said Hugs.

"You know it could have been,' said Kim. It all made since now. Emma casted a power spell from the book, and it was it's dark magic that did it. It had have been.

"The only place we haven't checked are the abandoned and run down apartment complexes and buildings on the other side of town," Mr. Cherrywood told them as the Care Bear's and Care Bear Cousin's met back near Mr. Cherrywood's tent. Tender Heart nodded.
"Well, let's go," Tender Heart said with determination, leading the way in the general direction of the run down part of town.

"That's true," Jason said, nodding in agreement. "So, we have to get out of here, and then find out how to reverse the spell she put you two under."

"Yeah.." said Hugs as she raised her hand to mouth. I hope this isn't bad... True Heart told us it was our mission to help the people of earth learn out to Care, because their grasp on faith is light, and it's easy for them to forget that they care or that there are others that care... it is our job to care them even if they do not. But... what happens if we turn into a human? Will we become as light headed on faith as a human is? she thought. The poor girl was so lost in thought she had totally drowned out everyone else. She was worried about her and her brothers future as Care Bears.

Tugs waved his hand in front of the chary-blond haired girl. "Are you listening to me?" he said, getting a little agitated. It was amazing how much Grumpy had rubbed off on the poor guy. However, Tugs was usually not like this. Right now was just as worried and aggravated about the whole thing.

Hugs cocked her head to side; a confused expression weighing on the poor girls face. "What? Did you say something Tugs?" she asked in a lost tone.

"Yes... but that doesn't matter We're going to take that path!" said Tugs as he gestured towards the dark a myst path to the left that headed deeper into the forest.

"Oh my that place looks creepy Tugs... are you sure that path is safe?" Hugs asked nervously. She didn't like the feeling she got from it, and being human only mounted her fear of the mysterious path.

"I agree with Hugs.." Said Kim. "I don't want to down that path either, Maybe we should say on the one that we are on... I looks safer."

"The dark one looks like it's going somewhere," said Tugs, in defensive tone. He was making it well known that he was going to be in control of this group and that they were going to go along with him.

"I don't think the path looks too bad. I'm with Tugs. I might lead us out of the woods," said Jason.

"It's not safe I'm staying on this path.." said Hugs turning from the path. She didn't want to even go near the path.

"Yeah, I with you Hugs." said Kim as she followed Hugs.

Tugs ran in front of Hugs and Kim, stopping them in their tracks. He spread oven his arms. "Aww. come one you two. Where's you're since of adventure?" He focused his gaze fully on Hugs bright brown eyes. "Don't tell this human form has stunted curiosity?"

Hugs shook her head. "No... it has not... but I don't like how that path makes me feel. I can't explain it but it's surrounded with dark magic..." she looked away from her brother. She did not like disagreeing with him but she had to. Her intuition was on high alert at this moment and she some in side her heart wasn't going to let her disobey it; so she walked around her Tugs and continued walking. "Do you feel, but I'm not going near that path.. " she said.

"Me either.. Jason?" she said looking at her little brother.

"I'm with Tugs. If you two get lost don't blame us..." replied Jason.

Tugs frowned. "Yeah, keep in mind you're following a ditz who doesn't have any since of direction to save herself."

Kim shock Tugs a shocked and unhappy glare. "You should put your sister down. She smarter than you!" she said before hurrying after Hugs; And with that the two groups went their separate ways.

Nicholas and the Care Bear's began their search in the abandoned apartments. Nicholas and Grumpy took the apartment that, unbeknownst to them, was where the Spirit Book and her latest apprentice were working on a special spell.

"No, the spell requires much preperations," the Spirit Book told Emma calmly with a forced, gentle smile. "Five potions, three we have to make ourselves, and we will also need additional ingrediants. But we won't hurry it. I sense someone is in the building...we must prepair for them." Emma nodded, putting a few things away.
"What of the four that we sent into another dimension," Emma asked, beginning to feel guilty. The Spirit Book thought for a moment.
"They have separated themselves," she responded, hiding an evil smirk. "They are going their own ways...the girls seeming to be much more wise than the boys." Emma didn't really like boys, especially full grown ones, but she didn't like the Spirit Book talking meanly about them. However, she remaind silent; feeling that such a comment would only create conflict amongst them.

"So where are we going?" asked Kim. She starting feel a little scared. She didn't like being alone and she didn't really have much faith in Hugs. Lets face it, this you girl was rockie at best at being a care bear. How well would she stand up against the spirit book's energy?

"I have no idea. But I see village so I guess we are one the right track," replied Hugs. She could help but get a little overwhelmed by Kim's doubtful energy. The feelings that crept out from her heart were new and different. She couldn't quite place them. She wondered if these feelings were even her own.... perhaps Kim's? Yeah it had to be. If she didn't understand the feelings it had to be human. there was no other explanation for it. It couldn't be Hugs' she had not been human long enough... not that she was expert on humans but she couldn't grasp the fact that she was even capable of human emotions yet. "Are you okay?" asked Hugs as she glanced over shyly at Kim.

Kim looked over at Hugs and shook her head. "N-no.. I'm fine," she replied.

Hug nodded but she could shake off the strange emotion. she lying... she thinks I no good too... just my brother and Jason.. she thought to herself. Deep down Hugs wanted to scream out "YOU'RE LYING TO ME! WHY DON'T YOU JUST SAY IT! But she kept quiet. Hugs didn't have the nerve to say anything mean. I couldn't the caring mission still weight on her heart and head. As well as her reputation of becoming a care bear.

Nicholas and Tender Heart looked around the room they had come to, stopping for a rest. "Hugs and Tugs were here," Tender Heart said abroptly, pointing to some paw prints in the dirt. Nicholas nodded, also looking at the prints.
"Kim and Jason were also here," he commented, pointing to the human shoe prints in a pile of dirt. "And a younger person was also here." He pointed to a set of tracks that led to a door.

"The preperations will not be done in time," the Spirit Book hissed. "We will have to confront them, and then make our hide out elsewhere; somewhere much harder to find."

"Are you sure we're going to the right way?" asked Jason. After a while of walking the young brown haired boy was beginning to think that the girls would have been a better choice to fallow right now. The path Tugs was leading him was getting darker by the minute.

Tugs glanced back at him. "Of course I am sure! I've got a good since in direction! We'll be out of this forest soon!" he said trying sound confident. However deep down he knew he was leading Jason down what was appearing to be the wrong way, but he wasn't going to admit that was wrong and his sister was right. Tugs was too proud for that, and he wasn't just about to admit that Hugs was right! Not right now. He had something to prove, he just didn't know what it was...

Nicholas and Tender Heart cautiously pushed open the door, and walked into the room, trying hard not to be found out. But, they soon guessed that they had been expected, but ruined the chance of a surprise attack by dropping in a little early. Standing on the other side of a caldron was a five year old girl and a book Tender Heart and Nicholas both recognized as the great book of spells...and better known as the evil Spirit Book. "It is them," the Spirit Book said darkly as the podium turned so that she could face them. Emma walked to the side of the podium so she could read a spell at a moments notice without any problems.

"No Emma, don't read any of the spells in that book. It's evil. Her powers will only destroy you." Nicholes exclaimed. He was desperate not let another innocent person fall to the book's power.

"Look a there's a village, up a head!" exclaimed Kim as she pointed to a a small grouping of houses in the distance. She and Hugs had come to down slope from the forest.

Hugs smiled happiely. "Yay... So we are going the right way!"

Kim turned to her and smiled. "Yes, yes we are. Come one lets hurry. I there has to be someone there who can help us out."

Hugs nodded and with that the two took off running to the village.

Emma seemed unaffected by Nicholas' pleas, as if she didn't even hear him. "Quickly, read this," the Spirit Book urged, flipping some pages. Emma looked at the page quickly and began to read. "Emma, don't," Tender Heart cried, his tummy symbol glowing as he fired a stare at the Spirit Book...or where she had been. Emma and the Spirit Book had disappeared into thin air.
"You think the Spirit book has something to do with the dissappearences," Nicholas asked, worried about his friends safety, and Emma's.

"I wouldn't doubt it," replied Tender Heart. "The evil spirit has grown in power ever since it came in contact with Emma. We are going to need more help then just the Care Bear family... we are going to need someone who is just as powerful as this spirit."

"Are who would that be?" Nicholas replied curiously.

"Don't worry about that. You go find Grumpy and Brave Heart!" Tender Heart said.

Nicholas nodded. "You got it."

As soon as Nicholas was gone, Tender Heart sighed. It had been years since he had seen Jon, Don, Kristy and the boy who once went by the name Dark Heart. HE went by the name Zachery now. He lived with Kristy and her family. The two were in high school and Jon and Don where just close to finishing the either grade. Tender Heart didn't like the idea of asking Zachery tap into her powers but it was the one way. The care bear leader nodded his head confident that this was the only solution that could aid them right now. Emma was a far more powerful source for the book then Nicholas ever was.

With that he left.

OOC: It's fine. The name Zachery was very creative. I'm used to it being David or Kairo. lol Due to RP's I'm doing with a friend of mine.

BIC: Emma and the Spirit book were now in a dark palace, miles away from where they had been before. The land was a dark and barren wasteland. Emma was working hard on the spell the Spirit Book was instructing her to make. It was supposed to be something to get even with Nicholas; and the Spirit Book said it might also get even with the gangster boys Emma didn't like. "I have three potions finished, Master," Emma said emotionlessly, and remained silent as the Spirit Book told her the ingrediants for the next-to-last potion.
"These next two potions will be extremly difficult to make," the Spirit Book warned her. "So do not make any mistakes; or else we'll have to make it all over again." Emma nodded obediantly, and hurried away to find the items.

As soon as Nicholas found Grumpy and Brave Heart, and they went back to Care-a-lot to get the other care bears to help them. When they got there Care-a-lot the place was already in shambles. It was falling apart. The book's powers was growing.

"Grumpy Bear, Brave Heart!" cried Wish Bear as she rushed over them. She tripped and fell on her face once she reach the approaching group. Grumpy sighed, and bent down and help Wish bear up.

"What the wrong. besides the obvious fact that our home is falling apart!" he asked.

"The Caring meter is going out of whack!" the teal colored Bear exclaimed. She went into deeper detail upon noticing the confused look on Grumpy and Brave Heart's face. "It's not just spinning out of whack it's making a weird sound!"

"That's not good!" said Grumpy.

"Oh Grumpy it's never done this!" Wish cried. She was beside herself on what to do.

"Um you guys, the Caring meter! its broken!" said Harmony Bear with a shocked expression. She herself couldn't believe what had just happened.

"What?" said Grumpy.

Suddenly they were hit with a the strongest and longest cloud quake they had ever experienced. Not only did it leave everything in ruins, but it also pulled the whole kingdom of caring apart.

When it was over. Everyone got up and looked around at what used to be their home, which had been pulled apart and reduced the rubble.

"Is everyone okay?" asked Grumpy Bear.

"I'm okay... but our home isn't. It's not going to last too much longer!" replied Wish Bear.

"It's that evil spirit. She doing this!" said Brave Heart. "I say we find her and destroy her for good!" he declared as he took off charging. However, Grumpy grabbed his tail pulling the lion to a stop.

"That's what we are going to do, but not with out a good plan and a direction, Brave Heart!" he said.

Brave Heart nodded.

"Wish, Harmony go and gather all the other care bear's, and care bear cousin's you can find and get them all over here. We are calling a family meeting!" Grumpy ordered.

"Right!" Wish Bear and Harmony said with a confident nod before taking off.

Grumpy looked over at Nicholas. "Where did Tender Heart say he was going?" he asked.

"To get more help on Earth... he didn't say anything else," replied Nicholas.

"Hum..." replied Grumpy. The blue bear wondered who Tender Heart was going to go get...

Tender Heart parked his cloud car behind some bushes, and jumped out of it as it dissolved. He walked over to the edge of the bushes, and peered over them, looking around carefully. He saw them. The twins, Christy, and Zachery. They were playing catch with a football, laughing and talking. Tender Heart sighed inwardly, wishing he didn't have to do this.

Meanwhile, Tugs and Jason were continuing down the path of blackness and snow white mist; a feeling of uncertainty creeping over the two boys. "Tugs, I'm scared," Jason stated quietly, looking around at the white mist.
"Well, you should be," said a mysterious voice. Tugs and Jason gasped with fear as a figure in a dark cloak appeared before them, a hood concealing the womans face. "You are going down the path of pure evil...but you are to far, you cannot turn back."

"Jason, run!" said Tugs as he quickly jumped in front of him blacking the mysterious woman from his friend.

"Are you sure you're going to be alright, Tug?" said Jason as he started to back away. "You're not a Care Bear anymore..."

Tugs glanced back Jason from behind his shoulder. "Get out of here, and let me worry about that!" Tugs shouted. This whole mess with his fault, if only had not let hid ego get into the way of his judgment.

He turned his attintion back to the women.

Jason took off running.

The woman chuckled evilly. "Your powers are no match for me boy. You don't even know how will them in that form!" she said coldly.

"I think I'll figure it out!" Tugs said, however in the back of his mind he was searching for a way to figure out how use the powers of his tummy symbol. the way he figured, if Hugs had been able to us her powers in the cave as a human then he could be able to do it too.

Meanwhile Hugs and Kim had made it to the small village. As the two young girls walked they got a lot of strange stairs for the people who lived there. They were all animals types and where looking at them as though they were not welcomed. "Why is everyone's looking at us?" whispered Hugs to Kim. "Is that a bad thing or a good thing?"

"I don't know, they don't look too happy, that we're here though..." Kim replied.

"Maybe their not used to strangers coming into their village..." Hugs said in a nervous voice.

Kim looked over and noticed a small merchandise store. "Look, maybe we can get help there?" asked Kim, as she pointed to the old building.

Hugs shrugged. "I guess we could..." She fallowed Kim into the store were they got most uncomfortable stares. The place got really quite. When they reached the counter. The merchant who was a old mole looked the two girls over suspiciously. "Can I help you?" he asked.

"Well... sir we're lost and are in great need of help and we were wondering if-" Hugs started to explain, but the merchant interrupted her.

"Well... I sorry. You wont find much help for the likes of you two from anyone in this town," the Mole said as he ringed his hands in a shoeing out motion. "No along and get out here before you cause anymore trouble!" he said.

"O-kay..." Hugs replied. She didn't understand what kind of trouble she would be bringing to this village. They were strangers and had just arrived here.

"Come one... lets just go. If no one here's going to help us well just go to the next village," said Kim as she pulled her the shot exit.

"Best you two humans stay away from our kinds, and go back into the wood lands where you belong!" said a female mouse and the door entrance.

The two girls exited the building quickly. "Yeah, the woods lands is where those disguesting humans behind anyways!" said a male bear as they walked passed him.

"I don't understand Kim... what did we do?" asked Hugs.

"Lets just get out of her quickly before things get bad.

"Hugs, Kim!" said Jason as he ran over to them. The two girls turned around quickly.

Seeing a worried and frantic look on her younger brother's face Kim ran over to him. "Jason what the matter?" she asked.

"Where's Tugs?" Hugs asked as a dreadful feeling entered her heart.

"Tugs in trouble!" Jason exclaimed. "We need to hurry! He needs our help!"

"Right!" the two girls said as the followed after Jason...

Tender Heart slowly approached the Jon, Don, Kristy, and Zachery. The four young teens stopped playing when they noticed Tender Heart approaching them. They smiled happy to see an old friend. "Oh my gosh! Tender Heart! I haven't seen you in a long time!" exclaimed Kristy in a happy tone.

"Yeah, how's everyone in the Care Bear family doing?" asked Don.

Tender Heart laughed nervously as he scratched the back of his head. "Well not so good... we need you're guys help. More then anything Zachery's help..."

A concerned look came on tall red haired boys face. "What happened? What do help?"

"Well, Zach, do you think you might still have some of those powers that you had five years ago?" Tender Heart asked. He really hated even asking this question, but he knew this had to be done. He need Nicholas' powers and he needed Zachery's. He need Jon, Don, and Kristy's caring hearts. to help things stay stable. He just hoped that things would work out.

In Care-a-lot Wish Bear and Harmony had gathered every Care Bear that they could find. Which was surprisingly everyone. "Alright, everyones here. So what are we going to do?" asked Harmony Bear as she looked at Grumpy Bear.

"Well first off we need to find out where that book send Hugs, Tugs, Kim and Jason. We also need to find out where It's hiding with Emma," Grumpy said.

"But how are we gonna do that?" Asked Brave Heart.

The old woman cackled watching Tugs carefully. "There is only one way out of here," the woman told him quietly. "You must admit it."
"Admit what," Tugs asked questioningly. The woman said nothing, vanishing into the white mist, leaving Tugs alone to figure out the answer.

Zack frowned in thought. "Yes...I do," he replied finally. "I'm assuming whatever is wrong...you need us for it, right?" Tender Heart nodded, and quickly explained everything to them.
"Emma has very little control over herself now," Tender Heart added at the end of his story. "I just hope we can find the Spirit Book before she loses all control of herself." Zack and the other three teens nodded.
"Just tell us what we need to do," Kristy said determinedly, nodding.

Grumpy thought for a moment, not sure how to answer Brave Heart's question. There was using the star-o-scopes to search the earths surface. But that would take to long; and what if they weren't even on earth? There had to another way.

The Blue Bear sighed. "We need someone who has the power to see into things... which is something none of us have..." Grumpy said. She raised his paw to his chin in thought. None of this was good. Time was waisting, Care-a-lot was going to be destroyed, Caring in the world was dwindling, Hugs and Tugs, Kim and Jason were missing, and their enemy was hiding somewhere they couldn't get to.

"This is terrible," Love-a-lot said sadly as she shook her head.

"What are we going to do?" asked Proud Heart. "If we don't do something we are going to lose our homes and our friends are going to be lost forever?"

Grumpy frowned. "Where is Tender Heart! He should have been back by now!" he grumbled.

"Look! There's Tender Heart right now!" Exclaimed Wish Bear as she pointed up the approaching cloud car.

"He's got other's with him!" said Cheer Bear.

Tugs looked around still confused with what was going on. Realizing that the old woman had disappeared He took this moment to figure out how he was going to be able to use his tummy symbol powers. Did he even have his tummy symbol anymore? He pulled up his light blue T-shirt and looked at his stomach, and to his dismay that was no tummy symbol. "Yikes!" he said shocked. He pulled his shirt down. "Okay I could have lost my powers. I need to calm down. If Hugs was able to make that light in the tunnel that there is a sours." he thought out loud. "But what?! he said raising his hands up in the air. The poor blue haired boy didn't even notice gold bracelet with the small charm shaped as his symbol hanging from it. he did realize it tell he heard it jingle. "Huh? when did I get a charm bracelet?"

"The forth potion is finished," Emma reported to the Spirit Book, who smirked evilly at her.
"Good," she said. "Now do not forget the potion must be shaken every five minutes, and a dragons tear must be added every three. Continue the pattern until you've shaken it fifteen times." Emma nodded, and walked out of the room, back to where she was working on the potion so the Spirit Book could be by herself, deep in thought.


The cloud car landed, and Tender Heart hopped out, Zachery, Kisty, Jon, and Don also jumping out of the cloud car, and followed Tender Heart to the rest of the Care Bear's. Swift Heart was the first to speak.
"Hey, it's the twins, Kristy, and her boyfriend," she exclaimed, rushing to the twins, and hugging their legs.

"Yes, yes we're here to help!" said Don with a cheerful smile. The young twin had grown a few inches since the fifth grade, however she was still shorter then everyone in the group; even her brother. She had long since traded in her blond pony tales in, for two buns.

"Alright!" Zachery said, getting right to the point. "First things first we need to find where this evil spirit sent your cubs, and your friends Kim and Jason."

"And, how are you going to do that?" asked Nicholas, who had been relatively quiet till this point. He wondered what made this red haired so special.

Zachery simply smiled. "Why magic, how else!"

"You can actually do that?" Nicholas asked.

"Yeah! Who are you again?" Zachery asked.

"This is Nicholas. He was taken over by the book two years ago," replied Tender Heart.

"Umm you guys we don't have that much time!" said Grumpy Bear. "There no telling when we're going to get another one of those cloud quakes!"

Zachery nodded. "Right, let do this thing! Everyone step back!" The young teen said as he reached up to heavens, with open arms. He whispered a small spell and the suddenly a light mist appeared and with in minutes a image of a wooded area appeared and they say Kim and Jason running with a strawberry blond haired girl who appeared to be close to Jason's age.

"Look there' Kim and Jason!" said Cheer Bear as she pointed at the image that was being displayed before them.

"Yeah, but who's that other girl?" said Swift Heart with a curious brow.

"Oh my Hugs and Tugs aren't with Kim and Jason. The evil spirit separated them!" said Share Bear in sad and worried tone.

"What are they?" asked Grumpy.

"They are in another dimension! And they are all headed towards evil energy. Hugs and Tugs are there. I can feel them, their energy levels are very strong," replied Zachery.

"What, but where are they?" asked Tender Heart. Trying to get a closer look at the image. He didn't see Hugs or Tugs anywhere in that image.

"Maybe your they're in the same world but seporated?" asked Bright as she scratched his chin. "Humm..." The Raccoon had another hunch but the whole idea seemed crazy and unlogecel.

The image cut off quick and a small cloud trimmer hit. Zachery fell to his knees. "The book and Emma are there too... and your friends are in danger! We to get to this world and quick!"

Kristy ran over to Zachery's side. "Are you okay, Zack?" she asked. She was very worried at this point. She placed her hand on the red heads should. He was breathing hard.

"Are you sure you're up to doing more magic?" asked Jon.

"Yeah, you don't look so good..." said Don.

"No, I'm fine." Zachery said. He closed her eyes. "Well if we are going to open the door to that world now the time. Who's ever going with me get close." With that all those who were going gathered around Zachery. With in minutes of chanting the spell they were whisked away into the other world...

"Tugs!" Hugs cried as she ran over to him. The poor girl was so worried for her brother she ran a head of Kim and Jason. However, the two weren't far behind Hugs.

Tugs looked over at his twin sister. "Hugs, you should be here! This place is evil! You'll get hurt!" he exclaimed.

Hugs stopped a few feet from her brother to catch her breath. She looked looked up at Tugs. "What going on?" she asked.

"Nothing that I can't handle on my own!" the blue haired boy stated. He was more worried for his sister, Kim and Jason's safety then anything. "Go back you were going!" he said.

Hugs strighened her composure, then shook her head. "Have you forgotten anything from your training Tugs. We always fight better as a team! We are nothing alone! So I'm staying and fight at your side!" she replied. He tone was serious and Tugs could tell from her eyes that his sister wasn't going to back off.

"We're with you guys too!" said Jason, as he and his sister walked up along side the two...

The voice of the old woman filled the area, echoing with her spine-tingling cold cackle. "How touching," her voice boomed. "But even with those three to back you up; this mist is of pure evil. You cannot leave unless I let you." Tugs looked around angrily; wanting to find that old lady and give her a piece of his mind!
"Show yourself, coward," Tugs suddenly cried, unable to control his emotions. The old woman cackled again.
"I am growing as old as I will ever get," she explained gradually. "My time is coming to an end; and I find little amussment in your little games. I'll be sure to have the Warrior of Pure Evil come and destroy you when ever she has the chance." With that, the old woman fell silent, leaving Hugs, Tugs, and the siblings deep in thought.
"What exactly is pure evil," Jason asked aloud, breaking the silence. Kim, Hugs, and Tugs shrugged.
"Grams once said that there is no such thing as pure evil," Hugs replied. "Everyone and everything has a good side to them; no matter what."

The minutes passed slowly as Emma followed the instructions the Evil Spirit had given to her to follow. It got rather boring after awhile. Hey, even evil villains get bored. That's why they're always causing trouble for no reason. She was relieved when she was finally finished. Putting a cork on the bottle, she scurried back to the spell room, and placed it inbetween an empty bottle, and the third potion.
"Good, good," The spirit congradulated. "Now, for the fifth and final potion." Emma nodded, and listened to the Evil Spirit as she listed off many ingrediants. It did't take long to collect them and slip them into the caldron. The substance in it was a dark greenish with a little bit of yellow here and there. Emma stirred it with a large spoon as she waited for the Spirit to tell her to stop. "All right, that's enough," the Spirit told her with forced kindness. "The next ingrediants might be a little hard to get. Because they are of our enemies." Emma nodded, listening intently. "Some fur from one or two of the Care Bear's is recuired. Prefferably, from the two gaurdians, a purple horse and a cream colored bear. Then an exact copy of two boys' DNA, including Nicholas'. The other boys name is Zachery. He has red hair, blue eyes, and he hangs out with two blond haired twins and his brunette girlfriend most of the time. You will know him when you see him."
"But why do we need their DNA," Emma asked questioningly.
"Nicholas was my apprentice, as I told you before," the Spirit Book explained. "He still has powers from when he worked for me. As for Zachery, he was once a villainous boy, who would've destroyed the Care Bear's. But he had a change of heart. He still has powers from his evil days, but that is because he was born with them. They are just modified depending on which side he's on." Emma nodded understandingly.

"Pishh, that is a lei. There is a such thing as pure evil. I am evil!" came a cold voice from the mist.
"Huh... w-what was that?" Kim said a as she looked around.
"I don't know..." said Tugs as he stepped in front of his sister.
"Did you find out how to use your powers yet Tugs?" the voice said into his ear. A evil chuckle filled the air.
Tugs turned in the direction where the voice had come from, but nothing was there. "Where are you? No more games! I mean it!" he yelled. The charm bracelet around his wrist started to glow.
"Tugs, there's more them one here..." said Hugs when she noticed the dark shadows forming in them mist.
The voice laughed a little more. "Well if you want to play, then by all means let the games being..." it said as one of the shadows stepped forward revealing itself. "The four kids gasped at who their appoint was...

The Care Bears and their friend appeared just out side the forest. "Where are we? Hugs, Tugs, Kim and Jason are no where around here?!" Nicholas said.

"It's not my fault. The evil spirits interfering! She doesn't want us to find them, replied Zachery.

"Uh... guys... we have a problem.." said Don as she looked around herself.

"And what's that?" asked Nicholas.

"Where are the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins?" Son asked.

"Oh no!" exclaimed Kristy.

"Drat! This work of the evil spirit!" said Zachery.

"What are we going to do?" asked Jon.

"All that we can do for the moment and that's find Hugs and Tugs and Kim and Jason!" said Nicholas.

"But what about the Care Bears?" asked Don.

"Nicholas is right, there's no telling where that evil spirit sent the Care Bears. We have to focus on what more important, and that finding those who are in danger." said Zachery.

"Right!" said the others at one and with that five teens ran into the wood lands, unknowing of the dangers that were soon fall upon them.

BIC: Out of the mist stepped Hugs. Only not Hugs...an evil version of her. And behind her appeared an evil Tugs, Kim, and Jason, all with cold smiles on their faces. "You are weak," they all said, as if they had one voice. "Your destruction will be made swift; no mercy shall be given to you."

"I don't suppose anyone has an idea on where we are going," Don said pantingly, as the teens stopped for a rest, out of breath, and completely lost.
"The Spirit's powers are stronger in this dimension," Zachery told her. "It is extremely difficult to use any of my powers; or even think." A dark figure in the shadows watched them carefully, eying the appoint targets; a blond haired boy, who was tall and rather skinny, and the other, a red headed male with blue eyes, who seemed to be the appointed leader of the group at the moment. After a minute, Emma stepped out of the forest, just as Zachery looked her way.

"Ouch," Grumpy moaned, sitting up and rubbing his head. He looked around, finding himself in a dark forest, and seeing no one else. He stood up, muttering to himself about it always being him who gets the unfortunate events as he began to walk toward a clearing. But he stopped dead in his tracks. He wasn't at eye level with the bushes like he normally was. Wondering if he had grown, he looked down, and gasped. He was wearing a pair of jeans that matched his fur color, and he had human like legs. Looking at his hands, he thought, What fur? Now, Grumpy was completely freaking out. "Tender Heart? Share Bear?" he called fear strong in his tone. "Anyone?"

"Grumpy?" came Cheer Bears voice from behind a bush. "Where are you?" she asked as she sat up. She put her hand on her head. "Ack... my head hurts." She rubbed her head. She paused for a moment when a long pink curly lock of hair fell in her face. What in the world? She pulled on the strand of hair with shaky hands. Her big bright brown eyes widened when she looked at her hands. "GRUMPY!" she cried out is freaked out voice. She stood up, and the chiming sound of bells filler ears.

"Cheer Bear?" said Grumpy as he ran in the direction of her voice. He was taken by surprise when he ran right smack into someone. He fell on his butt. He gripped a bit for being clumsy and not watching where he was going. He looked up to see who he had ran into and his blue eye went wide with shock when she saw a pretty pink haired lady, dressed in short pink and white pleated skirt, and pink tank top. Her hair was done up in two side buns with thin curly-cue's. At end of her pink ribbons where little golden bells.

"Oh, I am so sorry about sir! I wasn't watching where I was going!" The lady exclaimed.

Grumpy cocked his head to the side not believing his eyes. His jaw dropped open. He didn't know if he was more amazed with how beautiful this lady was or at the fact that she was possibly Cheer Bear. "Cheer Bear... is that out?" he asked.

Cheer's eyes went wide with shock. Was this gorgeous looking blue haired guy really Grumpy. "G-grumpy?"

There was a long pause, before both of them two came to grips with the realization of their new forms, and before Grumpy could even move to get up Cheer leaped on to him and hugged him tightly. "Oh Grumpy I'm soo happy I found you! I I thought I was alone in this creepy forest," she cried cheerfully. She didn't realize how tight she was hugging Grumpy.

"Ack... Cheer, Grumpy- can't- breath!" Grumpy chocked out.

Cheer back off quickly. "Oh, I'm soo sorry I just so excited."

"umm.." Grumpy said as he got up and brushed himself off. "That's okay.. erm just... do do that again.. okay?" he said in his normal grouchy tone.

"OKay..." Cheer Bear said before stand up herself and dusting the dirt off her skirt. "So what are we going to do now? You think the other's are human too?"

"I don't know..."

Grumpy was interupted when he heard some loud sounds, and cries of pain coming from somewhere not to far away. He and Cheer took off running as fast as they could in the direction the sounds were coming from.

Zachery was pushed with tremendous force against a tree by something invisible. Jon, Don, Christy, and Nicholas lay unconcious by some bushes after having been knocked out cold by the five-year-old Zachery guessed to be, Emma. He tried to say something, but no words came. He didn't really have time to say a full sentance, anyway, before he blacked out, and fell to the ground.

"Um, guys," Jason asked shakily, staring at his evil 'twin' with fear. "Should we run away now?"
"Already tried," Hugs responded, her body stiff. "But my feet won't move."
"Well mine do," Tugs assured them bravely, jumping in front of his sister and his friends.

The evil Hugs giggled sadistically, and she raised up her hand and with a great force she lifted him from the group. With in minutes Tugs was spinning at a unimaginable speed. "Ack! Stop it!" was all that Tugs could said. The spinning was starting to make the poor boy sick to his stomach.

The evil Hugs smiled. "Aww, poor baby are not feeling well? Maybe you lay DOWN a bit brother dearest!" she said as she lowered hand. Tugs' body hit the ground with a hard thunk. Tugs groaned. His body was hurting really bad now. He looked up at the evil version of twin sister with painful eyes. The force that she was weighing on his body was strong. Oh now.. what am I gonna do?

Evil Hugs chuckled as she conjured more force on him. "Poor Tugs, he doesn't know how to use his power.

"Stop it! You're hurting him!" Exclaimed Hugs.

"Shut up, you know you enjoy this!" Evil Hugs mused.

"Huh, no I am not!" Hugs replied.

"Admit it, deep down you wish you brother never existed so that you didn't have someone hogging you spot light! With Tugs gone, you no one in your way to become the best!" Evil Hugs said. She looked down at Tugs. "I hate you Tugs, remember that."

"LEIR!" Hugs screamed. She raised her hand to knocked her evil self on her butt. She was lying. She couldn't have felt that way about her brother. However, before she could use her power on her the evil twin, Evil Tugs used his powers and slammed her into a tree. Hugs screamed with a great deal of pain as she felt the force of his powers pressing against her body.

"Pheh! stupid!" Evil Tugs said coldly. He smirked evily. "Wow, you really don't think thing through before you act, do you?"

Tender Heat woke up with the worst head ache he had ever had. "Ugg.. am I?" he said as she sat up rubbing his forehead. He looked around at his surroundings. He was in a forest. The atmosphere was dark and misty. "Where is everyone?"

"Oh good you're awake," came Love-a-lot's voice. "The doc will be pleased..." Tender Heart looked in the direction of the voice. His brown eyes went wide with surprise. The voice was Love-a-lot's but the from who it was coming from was a rather beautiful dark pink haired lady with tight spiral curls. She dressed in a jeans, dark pink shirt. She kept talking on and on. She knew his name, and she held the same manerisums that Love-a-lot had. Tender Heart was scared to say it but he was beinging to thing that had been dropped on a strange forest with a human verson of Love-a-lot.

"The and I found you unconscious, we were worried that you went going to wake up on time. Doc went to go find herbs just encase in your sick. But it look like were over reacting," Love-a-lot explained.

"Hum, I'm sorry to ask you this Mrs, but who are you?" he asked.

"It's me Love-a-lot... you don't remember me!?" Love-a-lot asked worriedly. But then remembered that their appearances had changed and she wasn't a care bear anymore. "Oh yeah, or course you wouldn't remember me. You wont believe this when I tell you this, Tender Heart. Well, your looking at me and well it guess that helps a little... I mean, Doc and I were pretty shocked when we realized it... well anyways... out of some freak of nature we are humans now..." Love-a-lot explained.

Tender Heart stood up quickly. "WHAT!?" he exclaimed. His eyes were wider for the shock of his hight. He looked at his hands, his mouth opened wide. He looked at Love-a-lot. "How?" was all he could manage to say.

"Well, your finally up. Wonderful. You had use worried there!" said Take Care from behind. Tender Heart turned around quickly. Take Care was healthy looking red head. He hair was pulled back in a lose ponytail. She wore in blue jeans. and white t-shirt with her tummy symbol on it, and over her shirt she wore a lose flannel button up shirt, with a checkered design on it.

"Take Care, how are we going to help anyone in this form?" Tender exclaimed.

"I don't know yet, but we need to find out soon," Take Care said.

"Oh, look, this necklace is cute. I don't remember owning this... how weird..." Love-a-lot said as she examined a pretty platinum chained necklace with a pretty charm in the form of her tummy symbol handing from it. "It's just like tummy symbol!" she giggled...

Emma took two hairs from nicholas, and two from Zachery. An extra, just in case. Now all she had to do was find the leaders of the Care Bear's, and she would be close to being able to start on the fifth potion.

Grumpy and Cheer Bear burst into the clearing just as Emma stood up straight, looking up at them. "Emma," Grumpy and Cheer exclaimed just as she vanished. The two exchanged glances before rushing to the aid of the teens. Christy stirred a little as Cheer knelt beside her, Grumpy beside John as he began to open his eyes.

"How are the others," Tender Heart asked, trying to become calm again.
"All but Grumpy, Cheer, Share, Champ, True Heart, and Noble Heart are in another clearing," she told him. "We should probably go and find them as soon as possible; if they're alone, they are very vulnerable." Tender Heart nodded, leading Love-a-lot through the bushes, and into the forest, before entering another clearing, where he split everyone into groups of two, three, or four, and had them look for any of their missing friends, including Hugs and Tugs, Kim and Jason.

"Are you okay?" Cheer asked Kristy with a concerned question on her face.

Kristy looked at Cheer oddly. "I'm, okay... who are you?" she asked.

"It's me Cheer," replied Cheer. She had forgotten for a moment that she was human. This whole this was going to take some getting used to.

Kristy's eyes widened. "Y-your a h-human? How? When did that happen?"

Nicholas, Zachery, and Don got up. they were just as surprised as Kristy and Jon were.

"We were wondering if Zach, could explain this to us... since he was the who brought us here in the first place?" stated Grumpy in his normal grouchy voice.

"That all the spirit books doing... I don't know what she's got up her sleeve for your guys but what ever it is it can't be good." Zachery replied. "I have a bad feeling, Emma's got another trick to spring on us. She pulled some of my hair out."

"She did the same thing to me too," said Nicholas as he rubbed the back of his head.

"She is she up to?" question Grumpy.

A loud scream that sounded like Hugs and Tugs filled the forest. The scream put the group on alert. "Did you hear that?" Don exclaimed.

"Yes, That was Hugs!" Grumpy replied as he franticly looked around. He listened again for where the voice was coming from. "Where is she?"

"Oh, my Hugs and Tugs are in trouble!" cried Cheer.

Hugs let out another scream. "This way!" said Jon, and with that the group went off in the direction of Hugs screams. All the while Grumpy and Cheer were worried on how they were going to be able to help the group as humans. How were they going to use their powers?

Kim and Jason tried to help out their friends, but found themselves pinned to the ground by te evil Kim and Jason. Hugs screamed again, punching Evil Tugs as hard as she could. "Hugs? Tugs?" came a familiar voice. It was Grumpy!
"Grumpy," Tugs yelled loudly before taking another blow to the stomach from Evil Hugs. "Help!" A minute after Tugs had yelled for help, a blue haired guy pushed evil Hugs off of Tugs, while a light pink haired lady did the same to Evil Tugs. Don and Jon took care of evil Jason, while Zachery delt with evil Kim.
"You guys get out of here," Nicholas shouted, him and Zachery standing side-by-side between Kim, Jason, Grumpy, Cheer, two young teens, and the warriors of evil. "We'll handle them."Tugs wanted to stay and fight, but the blue haired guy grabbed his shoulder, and began to drag him away; the pink haired lady, Hugs, Kim, and Jason following.
"The Warrior of Pure Evil will destroy you," the old womans voice cackled evilly as they finally rushed out of the last bit of mist, and collapsed, breathless. Tugs was the first one to catch his breath.
"We've got to get back in there," Tugs cried, beginning to walk back towrds the mist. The blue haired goy grabbed his arm firmly. Grumpy had a good guess who this stubborn, light blue haired boy was.
"Tugs," Grumpy asked. "It's me, Grumpy." Hugs and Tugs, Kim and Jason gasped with surprise.
"Just when I thought it couldn't get any weirder," Jason commented. "You guys were turned into humans too! And who were the guys who stayed behind? And who are they?" Jason jabbed his thumb in the general direction of Kristy, Jon, and Don.
"Kristy, Jon, and Don," the light pink haired lady introduced, and Tugs guessed by her voice, that she was Cheer Bear. Or, more accurately, 'Cheer Human'. "The red headed boy i s Zachery, and the other is Nicholas. They are helpping us defeat the Evil Spirit and save Emma. Along with saving you guys, and finding the others." Hugs and Tugs nodded.

...

Meanwhile, Emma was walking to the general location of Noble Heart Horse. True, it'd be faster by teleportation, and easier, but Emma was used to always taking the hard way. Or, at least, the much more difficult and longer ways.

Evil Hugs smirked. "Oh look now play things!" said Hugs as she glared at Zachery. "Do you think so Tugs?"

Evil Tugs chuckled. "Yes," he folded his arms over his chest. "What ever shall we do with them?"

Hugs laughed. "What we do with every toy Tugs! DESTROY IT!" she stretched her hand on, her balm facing out at Zachery and Nicholas.

"He, he I'm all for that!" said Tugs as he copied his twin sister. They're bower's combined sent Nicholas and Zachery falling a backwards. It was amazing how much power two these two pre teens had over them.

"Errah!" said Zachery as he used his powers to bush the evil twins back. He took to his feet quickly. He was breathing hard this time. "Go back to wherever you came from evil demon!"

Hugs giggled a little as she stood up. Then her face turned serious. "YOU!" she said she sent strong blast of wind towards Zachery sending him flying in the air. The little girl laughed with delight as she used her powers for form a fires tornado around Zachery's body. Tugs added his powers into the mix of his twin sister's winds. Almost immediately the winds turned icy cold.

"You should have stayed on our side Dark Heart!" said Hugs.

Zachery groaned, gritting his teeth, trying to bear the pain. Nicholas got to his feet, and used a wall of fire to push the evil twins away from Zachery, causing the tornado to disappear. Zachery slowly got to his feet, Nicholas able to hold off the evil twins. "Come on, Zach, we can do it," Nicholas encouraged as Zachery got back into the battle.

The evil woman watched from within the mist. She could see the battle going on clearly, and heard every word they said. "Ah, the traitor has come at last," she remarked with a cackle. "That gives me an idea."

Zachery and Nicholas were growing tired, as well as the evil twins. Evil Kim and Jason just stood back, and watched. Evil Hugs acted as if she was about to attack, but it wasn't her that pushed Zachery down, onto his back. Nicholas looked around to see who had pushed down his partner, but saw no one. Evil Kim and Jason suddenly rushed forward, and grabbed Zachery's arms. Nicholas was abotu to pull evil Kim away from his buddy, when he found he was no longer in the mist. He was just near the edge of the mist. He heard Zachery cry out in pain, and ran forward to go back into the mist, but something pushed him backwards.

laughter came from with in the mist. "Now, now Nicki be patient your turn to be torchered will come soon, for now the kid are gonna play a little game with you!" came a evil female voice.

Tugs' eyes widened. He pushed himself free from Grumpy's grasp. "That sounds like Cheers voice!" he exclaimed.

"This forest is bringing the evil side of everyone who enters it!" cried Hugs.

Cheer and Grumpy looked at each other with worried and helpless expressions. "Oh Grumpy, they bring out our evil halves things are going to get ugly!" Cried Cheer. "What are we going to do?"

"You're right Cheer there has to be something we can do. We still have our powers, just need to figure out how to use them," Grumpy said.

Tugs looked at Hugs. "Hugs when you made the lantern in the cave, how did you do it?"

Hugs raised hand to her lips and thought about it. During the time that she had used her powers she didn't really think about it she just did it. There was no thoughts about oh I am human, how do I use my powers. It was more along the lines we are in a dark place, we need light, and hey I have the power to give it with my tummy symbol so I'm going to conjure up a light source. "Umm.. I really don't know... I just did what I usually did," she replied. "And it was really funny too because my tummy symbol showed and everything. But I didn't feel the tickle on tummy like I usually do. I felt something warm on my wrist.

"Your wrist?" Grumpy said with odd expression.

Just then, Tugs remembered the bracelet that he noticed on his wrest earlier with the his tummy symbol charm. He looked at Hugs wrist and his eye went wide. It was same bracelet but just a little more dainty them him and hanging from that platnum chain was a small charm with Hug's tummy symbol. He grabbed her right hand. "It the charm bracelet!" he exclaimed. "I have the same one but with my symbol. Our powers haveto come from that!"

Hugs smiled excitedly. "Yes, that right! Our power's from the bracelet, and it will come if we will it!" she said. She stood up and took her brother's hand and pulled towards the battle field. "Come one Tugs' that show that evil duel how doing in our kingdom! Let save our friends!"...

Mean while Tender Heart, Love-a-lot, and Take Care were lost in the forest.

Take Care thought for a moment on what she was going to do about finding the others. This dark forest seemed to confuse them and lead them into another web confusion. She at the forked path that was placed in front of them. "Man, I wish Bright Heart was with us... I hope that the others are having better luck then we are..." she said.

"I know... I don't like this palace. It's cold..." said Tender Heart.

"Oh come one now you guys. It's not that bad. If you put aside all the bad things that are in this place. It's actually a quite romantic setting." Said Love-a-lot. Tender Heart and Take Care both looked at the dark pink haired lady oddly.

"Umm... yeha romantic... of course if you take out the forest and all the ugly creepy bushes and sounds, I guess it would be.." said Take Care.

"Oh, but wouldn't it be romantic to be lost in a place like this with someone you love to cling on to!" Love-a-lot asked as she cling on to Tender Heart.

The brown hair guy tensed up at the thought. "Umm... I g-guess.." he said. Usually he would be used to Love-a-lot free clinging lovingness, but right now in this form it stirred up a feeling in his heart that he wasn't used to.

Take Care sighed. "Love-a-lot, you have a strange way of looking at things. You know that?"...

An evil Zachery, Dark Heart, stopped beside evil Cheer and Grumpy; Zachery no where in sight. "What does that old hag have in mind," evil Grumpy asked, more out of wanting a conversation then curiousity.
"Zachery is more powerful than I am," Dark Heart mutered. "She's taking him to the Spirit Book to see what she can do about having him...'change his mind'." Grumpy and Cheer looked at each other, and shrugged.
"A group of Care Bear's are approaching the mist on the otherside of the forest. We should probably be there to greet them," evil Hugs told them, brushing herself off. The others nodded, and vanished into the mist.

Emma returned to the castle, having been called back just when she had found True Heart, she hurried to the room where the Spirit Book waited for her, hoping her master had a god reason for calling her. "Ah, there you are," the Spirit Book said with a forced, gentle smirk. "Sorry to have interupted your hunt, but something came up." A door that led into the room opened, and evil Kim and Jason dragged in Zachery, his hands tied behind his back. He struggled to get free as the two evil siblings forced him to his knees.

Hugs and Tugs caught their breath as they caught up to Nicholas. "What, where did they go?" Hugs said as she looked around.

"I dunno Hugs..." replied Tugs.

"I have a bad feeling... you two should stay back.." Said Nicholas.

"No, we know how to use our powers now, we're not backing down this time!" said Hugs in determined voice.

"We're all with you on that one Hugs" Said Kristy as she came up to her side. Jon and Don stepped up too, as well Grumpy and Cheer.

A long forgotten, yet well remembered dark laugher came from in side the mist. Cheer and Grumpy looked at each other with worried expressions. Kristy, Jon and Don swallowed hard. They knew that the laughed and dark shadow approaching them in the mist was none other then, Dark Heart.

Mist filled the part of the forest where Tender Heart, Love-a-lot, and Take Care where quickly. The three stopped walking, as the atmosphere changed to a darker setting.

Love-a-lot back up behind Tender Heart and Take Care. She fell to her knees feeling cold and week. "This mist... it evil.. I don't like it.." said softly.

Take Care turned around quickly to check on Love-a-lot. The dark pink haired woman looked sick and pale. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

"I..." Love-a-lot grabbed at her throat. She couldn't talk.

"Love-a-lot what wrong?" asked Tender Heart as he knelt down at her side. Love-a-lot opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. "What's going on?" Tender Heart asked as he looked up at Take Care.

Take Care shrugged her arms helplessly, unable to explain what was going on and why her friend was suddenly so sick.

"She's going to die here you know..." said a voice female voice that sounded like Love-a-lot's in Tender Hearts ear. He looked around himself. "Just thought you should know that..." Evil Love-a-lot added.

Tender Heart and Take Care stood up quickly looked around themselves for the evil Love-a-lot. They stuck near Love-a-lot to ensure her safety.

"Who are you? Show your self evil spirit!" Tender Heart demanded.

Dark Heart smirked coldly at them as he stopped, just beyond the mist; his soulless eyes seeming to take the life out of Hugs' as he looked right into them. No...not even into them; beyond them. He did the same to the others in a more rapid fashion. He smirked again, chuckling coldly.

Emma sighed inwardly as she reembarked on the quest to hunt down the human True Heart. Again, she went on foot. The scenic route held more of an atraction for her than fade in, fade out.

"You cannot stop the inevitable," evil Love-a-lot stated in a dark whisper. "As soon as Emma becomes the Warrior of Pure Evil; there will be no stopping the destruction."

"Not while we're here! We'll make sure that never happens to Emma!" Tender Heart said.

"You're one warrior short... are you sure you can handle us?" came a cold male voice. Tender heart's eyes widened. He couldn't believe his eyes, was he really hearing his own voice talking to him in a evil tone.

Evil laugher came follow after Evil Tender Heart's voice. It was Evil Grumpy this time. "Yeah, Love-a-lot didn't last a minute against the mist of evil!" he said.

Tender Heart and Take Care both looked behind them to see Love-a-lot missing. Both of their eyes were wide with dreaded shock. "What's going on, here?" Tender Heart asked as he looked over at Take Care. He was really worried now. He wheeled around not waiting for the red head to reply. "What did you do with Love-a-lot!" he demanded.

"We told you, stupid!" came the voice of Take Care's evil half's voice. "You waisted your time with us. The evil mist destroyed her. Well actually I'm still trying to figure out what too her first, the virus I gave her or the mist. We really don't know just yet..."

"Don't believe them... their lying. They know you're in love with Love-a-lot and they are trying to get to you! Don't listen to them!" Said Take Care. She under stood everything now. The evil book had turned them into humans to make them more susceptible to the power of uncaring and evil. "This all the doing of evil spirit. She did this to us because we would make perfect pawns this way!"

Meanwhile at the Castle where the evil spirit book was..

Evil Hugs and Tugs walked in. The tortured screams from Zachery echoed through out the halls of the old place. The two evil twins dragged in week and sick Love-a-lot as the book requested.

Love-a-lot was shacking uncontrollably, she was sick to her stomach and her head was spinning. She tried to cry from the pain but whatever was wrong with her unbearable to stand...

Tender Heart nodded, trying to regain control of his emotions. Since he was now human, it was even more difficult to gain control of himself. "And the same thing that happened to your girl friend is going to happen to you," evil Tender Heart stated coldly, smirking. It's four on two; and with the evil mist, there is no hope of escape." Evil Take Care chuckled evilly, her cold, mocking eyes peering into Take Care's. "How can you save Emma, when you can't even save yourselves," she asked in a mocking tone, cocking an eyebrow.

"...No...I won't serve you," Zachery said for the umpteenth time, evil Kim and Jason staring at the boy who was straped to the table. Evil Kim bit her lower lip in thought. There had to be a way to make him work for them...if he wouldn't work for them willingly, perhaps there was a way to brainwash him...

"It's Dark Heart," Hugs exclaimed as Grumpy and Cheer stepped in front of the young teens to protect them. Nicholas put up his fists, ready to fight.
"What did you do with Zach," Nicholas asked, enraged. Dark Heart smirked coldly, looking at the blond haired teen.
"It doesn't matter," he stated coolly. "For I shall destroy you; there is no need for you to learn anything more."

"My Lady..." Evil Kim said as she knelt before the spirit book. She was beside herself. She had tired everything to turn Zachery to the side of evil, but he would not give in. "We've tried and tried but the boy will not turn... what must I do?"

"I suspected this would happen... the boy is in love with the girl we know as "Kristy". Make him forget her!" The evil spirit replied.

"How am i to do that?" Evil Kim asked.

"It's simple..." replied the book. It mentally told Evil Kim the plan. This was a plan that would easily turn both Zachery and Nicholas to her side quickly. "Make him hate her, make him detest the very sight of her."

Evil Kim smirked. "I swear it shall be done..." she left the room quickly to carry out her evil deed...

The evil book smiled evilly as she gaze turned to her caldron (sp?) where the image of love-a-lot placed in cell. She stripped of her robes, and jewelry. Her long curly dark pink hair hung over her face like a veil. She dressed in prison rags. Her head hug low, and her eyes were closed. She barely moved. The celestial light that once shined from her was slowly fading from all the dark negative powers that surrounded her in the palace. Yes… waist away… soon your power will gone there will be no more love in the world, with one family member gone they will never stand a change against me or the army of pure evil.

Evil Kim returned to the tourcher room, carrying a syringe that contained a dark colored liquid in one hand. Zachery glared at evil Kim, failing to notice the syringe. "I will not work for the Evil Spirit," Zachery stated, fighting his restraints. "You can do anything you want to me; I won't do it!" Evil Kim chuckled coldly, holding up the syringe so that Zachery did notice it.
"Oh really," she asked in a mocking tone, walking to him and stopping beside the table he was restrained too. "I'm sure your mind-and your heart- will change once I have injected this into your blood stream." Zachery bit his lower lip, and fought his restraints harder as evil Jason grabbed his right arm, and held it still while his evil sister poked the needle into his skin, and injected the dark liquid into his blood stream. A searing pain went through his arm, and he gritted his teeth, wincing in pain as the dark poison rushed throughout his blood veigns.

Emma walked into the forest, stepping out of the clearing where a woman with rainbow colored hair, wearing a white dress and a berrette that had True Heart's tummy symbol on it, lay unconcious. 'One Care Bear gaurdian down; one more to go,' Emma thought, glad she finally finished another part of the task. Now it was just the purple horse; and she'd have to hurry and find him. Some of the other members of the Care Bear Family were awfully close to where he wandered...

Dark Heart laughed coldly, eyeing the human Care Bear's and Nicholas who were on the ground, struggling to get to their feet. Kristy was able to get to her knees; but her ankle was sprained, and she couldn't get to her feet. Jon and Don were lying side-by-side, unconcious by a tree. This wasn't good. Grumpy thought as he got to his feet. They were losing, and he knew it...but what could they do?

Tender Heart and Take Care ran out of the dark mist, and stopped to catch their breath. They had just narrowly escaped the evil versions of themselves, and Love-a-lot. "We've got to find the others," Tender Heart stated, standing up straight. Take Care nodded. If they found the others, perhaps it would be easier to find the Evil Spirit Book, destroy the evil versions of themselves; and save Emma. This mission was getting much harder then anything they had ever been through before. Even when Champ Bear's body turned into Cheer's. Having two Cheer's in Care-a-lot, even if only temporary, was more hectic than they had ever thought possible...

"Well, well what do we have here?" came a female voice from the shadows of the trees. "Spirits of darkness?"

Dark Heart looked in the direction the voice was coming from. His eyes widened when a bright clear light hit his eyes. He shielded his eyes quickly, and screamed in pain. The light was binding and filled with pure goodness. "I'll be back! This isn't finished!" Dark Heart said before disappearing into a puff of smoke.

Grumpy and Cheer looked around cautiously at first. "What was that?" Cheer asked.

Grumpy folded his arms. "You mean who was that?" he said.

"It came from over there," said Hugs as she pointed over to the trees. Suddenly beautiful maiden stepped out of the shadows. She had beautiful long blue and white hair, she wore a long purple cloak over her white robes. In her right hand she held a long staff with a deep purple heart stone on it. Around hear next was a necklace with a bright heart shaped purple stone. She smiled at the group. "Greetings, my name is Pure Heart. You guys looked like you could use some help. The Forest of Shadows is no place for your kind. What brings you guys through these dark parts?"

"Two rookies who don't thank things through before they act!" said Grumpy as he looked at Hugs and Tugs with a grouchy eye.

"Oh Grumpy stop it. Hugs and Tugs did a good job, besides that fully why we are here..." Cheer said, then she went on to explain to Pure Heart about Emma and the Spirit book and the trouble that their friends where in....

"The poison is working," Evil Kim reported to the Spirit Book with a small bow. "And Emma has reported that she has aquired the DNA of the final Care Bear guardian; she wishes to know the next thing she needs to get." The Spirit Book nodded, a cold smirk spreading across her face.
"Excellent. Inject some more poison into the boys veins. I will inform Emma of her next few things."

"So, can you help us?" Tugs asked Pure Heart questioningly.

"Can I help, of coarse I can," Prue Heart replied with a smile. She looked around cautiously. "But first let get our selves out of this forest... at this hour there are many evil creatures lurking about, and if you are not skilled in using your powers you wont last a minute against them. Come with me," she said as she created a port hole that lead to her home. Pure Heart's home was in a safe place when evil could enter.
Nicholas helped Kristy carry Jon and Don through the port hole and everyone else followed after. After Pure Heart entered the port hole it vanished.

Moments later Tender Heart and Take Care arrived at the scene. The two were gasping for air from running so much. "Darn... we're lost..." said Tender Heart.

Take Care fell to her knees. She was warn out from all the running they had done. She had not ran this much since she was a cub. "I'll say.. I don't think I can take any more of this running around. It's getting dark, and we need to rest."

"No," Tender Heart said with a hard tone. "We need to save Love-a-lot, and Emma... and everyone else. If we quit now, who knows what will happen to them all."

"I guess you're right... but we don't even know where to start with all of this," said Take Care. "We don't even know what the source of our powers are..."

"I know..."

"We need to find that out... first before anything else, you and I both know that. And Love-a-lot is strong. She wouldn't have been bless with such a name or a symbol if she wasn't. We should need to believe in her. She knows we are doing our best to help her, and everyone else," Take Care said.

"I know, I just don't like this... I don't like any of this..." Tender Heart said as he bowed his head.

"I don't either..."

An scary low cry of a animal filled the cold dusk air. It made the hairs one both Take Care and Tender Hearts bodies stand up. "What was that?" Take Care asked her eyes wide with fear.

"I don't know," said Tender Heart.

A soft rustling in the bushes caught their attention. Take Care quickly clinged on to Tender Heart. Usually she would be calmer in these kinds of situations, but right now, in this forest, being calm was impossible. This place was something out of a Thriller...

Meanwhile...

Evil Love-a-lot appeared before the Spirit Book. "Your Eminence you summoned me?" She said with a low bow.

"Yes, the time as come for you take second part of your task in to action. Love-a-lot had become a part of my darling little treasure." The spirit book explained as she gestured over to a beautiful crystal chandelier. It was decorated with danglely(sp) crystals. "You, Loathing Heart, will help me add to my treasure. I need you capture the care bears leader, Tender Heart. He had a soft spot for Love-a-lot. You are her dark half and your specialize in the powers of lust, and desires just as much as you do hatred."

"What will you have me do?" Loathing Heart asked softly. Suddenly a crystal appeared in her hand.

"Tempt him, open his heart to all of those emotions which are forbidden to him, and when you have him unaware, trap him. Once Tender Heart is out of the way the Care Bear Family will begin to fall apart." The Spirit Book replied.

Loathing Heart gave an evil smirk. "It shall be done..." she said as she gripped the crystal in her hand. She gave a soft snicker before disappearing into the dark shadows of the room...

Nicholas cared for Jon and Don while Kristy talked with Pure Heart. "...His name is Zachery. He was captured by the 'dark spirits'. Do you know if he's all right?" Kristy asked.

Dark Heart walked to the room where the Evil Spirit book waited for him, and she introduced him to Evil Zachery. "I have decided to combine you two; since it appears your goals are both similiar, and you would be much more...powerful, if you were one instead of two seperate parts. Do you two agree with this?" Dark Heart nodded without hesitation. Evil Zachery thought for a moment, and then also nodded. The Evil Spirit smirked coldly. "Good. Now we must wait patiently for the return of my apprentice. She has almost completed half of what she needs to do in order for the fifth potion to be complete."

"I could see," Pure Heart said. Deep down she had a bad feeling about this boy that she was talking about.

Tender Heart approached the shrubs. He stopped short when he heard a strange zapping sound the creatures crys were silenced. "huh..."

"What was that?" Take Care said.

Tender Heart motioned for her to be quiet. "Shhh!"

He took another step towards the bushes. He paused again hearing a slight shuffle in the bushes. "Who's there!?" he demanded. "Show yourself now?"

Take Care jumped slightly as the bushes ruffled with movement.

Tender Heart took a step back, not sure how he was going to react towards whatever was coming out from the bushes. He his eyes widened when he saw a scared and shaking Love-a-lot.

Take Care was even more shocked. "Love-a-lot!" she gasped. She didn't move. She noticed that Tender Heart and Love-a-lot eyes were locked on each other.

"Love-a-lot?" Tender Heart asked, making sure his eyes were not deceiving him.

"T-tender Heart... Take Care?" Love-a-lot said shyly as though she were making sure of the same thing. Realizing that this was Tender Heart she ran up to him quickly and warped her arms around her. "Thank goodness I finally found you. I was so scared." she cried.

Tender Heart was frozen by the sudden embrace. She could help but get this overwhelming fuzzy feeling, just like the other time. However, this time it was stronger. Slowly he razed his arms to return the embrace. Love-a-lot was trembling, and crying into his chest. "It's okay... you're safe now. I'm with you, and I'll never let anything happen to you." he said in a soft voice and he gently stroked her long soft curly hair...

Emma approached the Evil Spirit Book, and gave a little bow to her master. "What is it that you require my assistance for," Emma asked, acknowledging the presence of Dark Heart and Evil Zachery with a nod of her head.
"Combine these two beings so that they are one," the Evil Spirit ordered her calmly. "Here is the spell; read it aloud." Emma nodded, looked at the words, and then read it loud and clear...

"We have to find the others," Take Care said with determination, looking around. "They can not be to far away from here; can they?" Tender Heart shrugged, still hugging Love-a-lot tightly.
"Let us make haste; I don't think they are to far away," he agreed, leading Take Care and Love-a-lot down a path.

The Love-a-lot impostor was a little worried about Tender Heart and Take Care seeking shelter somewhere out side the forest. This forest carried enough evil power to keep her dark magic work strong. She could not risk her powers being weakened by leaving the forest. She had to do something about this.

"Hey look over there. There's a cottage," Love-a-lot said as she pointed to the dark log cottage that she had magically conjured up.

Tender Heart and Take Care both looked at each other. "I guess we could stay in there till morning," said Take Care.

"Beats staying out here, doesn't it?" said Love-a-lot.

"Yes, let's stay in there, and tomorrow we will look for the others," said Tender Heart.

Love-a-lot smiled. "Ummhumm," she linked on to Tender Heart's arm. "Let's go," she said.

"You have in your possesion, half of the ingredients for the fifth potion," the Evil Spirit told Emma after she had gotten back from gathering the last of what she had been sent to retrieve. Emma nodded, her expression as cold as ice. "Now, a list of the items that are much easier to get are on the slip of paper on the table behind you. But I shall personally tell you the other things you need to get that will prove to be somewhat of a challange. Are you ready to hear them?" Emma nodded again.
"I am prepared, master," she replied darkly, a dark shadow casting over her eyes as she did a small bow.
"Good," the Evil Spirit stated, smirking. "The first is some fur from Pure Heart; the gaurdian I told you about awhile ago. The second, and the most hardest thing to get, will be the Heart of the Darkest Evil. To get it, you will have to defeat an evil and powerful spirit. I warn you now, you may not survive. So, I suggest it be the last on your list. But even though you may not survive the battle, you will do whatever it takes to get me the Heart of the Darkest Evil, won't you?" Emma nodded once more, going onto one knee in another bow.
"I am your most loyal and faithful servant; I will do whatever you ask of me, even if it means my death. My life is yours, my mind is yours; and your will is my command, regardless of the sacrifices that must be made. My life, and those of others, are insignificent; worthy of sacrifice, pain, and destruction."

"I guess this place will do..." said Take Care, as she looked around the living room of the cottage.

"I rather like it," said love-a-lot with a smile, as she looked around admiring the house of evil that she had created. Perfect, they will be powerless in here... time to put the plan into motion. First, lets keep the doctor distracted for a while... a LONG while. she thought. Her smile grew more, and more content as she made her way to the kitchen. All the while she wondered why the Evil spirit had not given her a crystal for Take Care. Never mind I'll capture her all the same. she thought to herself.

"What are you doing Love-a-lot," Tender Heart asked, as he followed her into the kitchen. He was not going to let her out of his sight for even a second now. He didn't want to lose her again.

With a sugar coated smile Love-a-lot turned to face the brown bear. "Just making some tea. I noticed some green tea leaves in the herb jar over here," she replied.

"Oh, that would be nice. It is kind of cold out, isn't it?" said Tender Heart. "I'm going to go up stairs and look for some blankets." He said, before he turned to go upstairs; daring to leave his beloved alone for a few moments.

"You do that..." she said softly, more to herself them anyone else.

Take Care was in the living room starting a fair in the fair place.

Love-a-lot gave a quick glance up the stairs where Tender Heart had gone, and then back over at Take Care, making sure no attention was being brought to her. She past her hand over the empty tea cuttle, and it was instantly filled with water. She gently brushed her hand over the green leaves and they instantly turned black. She passed her hand over the fire stove and the a fire started. She placed the cuttle on the burner then walked over to where Take Care was.

Take Care almost jumped, when Love-a-lot gently tapped her shoulder. "Love-a-lot!" she gasped.

Love-a-lot giggled a little. "Sorry, how's the fire coming?" she asked with a curious expression.

"Well it not really catching well," Take Care replied.

"Let me try a trick Tender Heart taught me on an old camping trip?" she asked, feeling grateful that she taken some of Love-a-lot's past memories from her before she had been entrapped into the crystal.

"Sure, be my guest," Take Care said as she stepped a side.

Love-a-lot smiled up at Take Care, before she brushed her hand over the two twigs and then rubbed them together three times. At the blink of an eye a fire was started. It was small at first, but then it erupted into a nice warm one.

Take Care stood there in complete shock. "Wow! That was amazing. never knew you could do that, Love-a-lot," said Take Care.

"I'm impressed too," said Tender Heart, as he placed the blankets down on the small easy chair. "I'm glad you learned something last camping trip."

Love-a-lot stood up from the fire place and beamed over at Tender Heart. "I'm very happy that you like it," Love-a-lot said. She turned her attention over to the kitchen when she heard the water boiling. She quickly walked over to the stove and pulled the cuttle off. She pulled thee cups out from the top shelf and pored the tea.

While she did that Take Care could not help but find Love-a-lot's actions a bit strange, since they found her in the forest. "Hey, isn't it strange how Love-a-lots doing all these tasks with out messing them up?" she asked.

Tender Heart shrugged. "Not really, Love-a-lot's got her good moments," he replied.

"Oh come on. Since when does Love-a-lot know how to start a fire, let alone pay attention when anyone teaching her anything? She's mostly paying attention to your face then what words are coming out of it. Something's not right, Tender Heart."

"Don't worry too much about it," Tender Heart said.

"Here's your tea you guys," said Love-a-lot, as she walked into the living room with tea. She sat them down on the small coffee table. The three sat down around the table and began sipping from their cups...

Meanwhile, at Pure Heart's home, John, Dawn, Christy, Nicholas, Kim, Jason, Grumpy, and Cheer Bear were in the living room talking with Pure Heart, while Hugs and Tugs just sat quietly, listening. "We should go in search of the others as soon as we can," Grumpy declared with strong determination. "There's no telling what trouble they might run into in the dark woods; some of them might even be alone, making them more vulnerable." The others nodded in agreement.
"But there has to be an easier way to find them, though," Nicholas said, thinking hard. "It would be pointless to just walk around the woods, calling their names; we might find their evil selves instead."

"We wait out the night, and set out for them in the morning," Pure Heart said. "It's too dangerous for any of us to use our magic at this point."

"I don't know if I can do that," said Cheer as she stood up. "I'm too worried to just sleep on it. I think our family lives are worth the risk!"

Pure Heart shook her head. "You guys don't even know how to use your powers in the forms that you are in right now, what kind of risk is worth taking if you are dead?" she replied. "None of you guys are up to this task. I wont let you do it."

"Then show us how to use out magic!" said Tugs as he stood up. He tone a little more demanding then normal.

"Tugs, calm down. Don't be so rude!" said Hugs as she looked up him. "Pure Heart will teach us when she can."

Tugs looked back at his sister, and then back at Pure Heart. "I'm sorry for my attitude. But could you please teach us how to use our powers so that we can fight out enemies," he said.

Pure Heart nodded. "Sure, but training's going to take some time. It's not anything you learn over night."

"How long is going to take?!" exclaimed Grumpy. He did not like waisting anymore time then he already had with learning his powers. He had always know the powers of his symbol. What made it so difficult to do in this form? he wondered.

"Well the time depends on your ability to take in and learn you powers and master them. It could take weeks, months, maybe even years depending on your magic level," Pure Heart explained. "I know this is hard for you guys but in order to beat the Evil spirit and her army. You need to know how to fully use your powers, everyone in your family much learn how to use them."

Hugs stood up. "Umm, excuse me Pure Heart, but are you going to be able to train everyone in our family how to use our magic?" She asked he brow eyes were wide.

Pure Heart laughed a little. "Oh no, I will be getting help from some old friend will be helping me teaching you guys." Pure Heart said.

"And who will that be?" asked Grumpy as he folded his arms with a frown. He was more upset about the training statistics then anything else.

"We'll be meeting him and his gang very soon," Pure Heart said with a confident smile.

During all of this, the other members of the family weren't running into to much trouble, compared to the others. Gentle Heart Lamb and Brave Heart Lion...or, humans, now...were walking down a path, talking with True Heart, who told them that she had a run-in with young Emma. "She didn't say anything to me," True Heart was telling them as they took a left. "It was even as if she didn't even see me; like her eyes were seeing through me, or past me...or not even at all."

"Oh dear... that's not good. I hope everyone else is okay," said Gentle Heart.
"We need to save her now! Let's go!" declaired Brave Heart. "Charge!" However True Heart stopped him.

"Brave Heart, wait! We don't even know where we're going," she said. "And we need everyone for this job!

"We have to find the others before we can confront Emma and the Evil Spirit," Gentle Heart spoke up as Brave Heart began to calm down. "Three of us alone will be no where near powerful enough to stop them."

Emma appeared within the shadows of many trees, her eyes falling upon the house that Pure Heart and her guests were staying within. "I will do my part," said a dark, male voice beside her, the figure hidden by the shadows. "Just do not forget to do yours." Emma nodded, and the dark figure vanished into thin air, while Emma slipped back into the shadows.

Emma's attention tore away from the house, and focused on some bushes that were rustling in the distance. Out of them stepped four dark figures, one of them holding a map. "...Yep, this must be the place." the leader said, putting the map in her back pack. "It looks like they're in. Let's go..." Her speech was cut short, looking to the bushes Emma hid behind. Spirit Heart Werewolf had special abilities; one of them was sensing dark presences. Another was scrying. She could see young Emma, watching them carefully. "Hey, Emma; come on out. We won't hurt you." Instead of coming out of the woods, Emma slipped into the shadows and vanished. Spirit Heart turned to her friends, Battle Heart Wolverine, Valor Heart Burchell Zebra, and Nocturnal Heart Dolf, part wolf, part dog, and nodded her head. "No doubt that was the little girl Pure Heart told us about," she said, the others nodding in agreement.
"Now let's hurry up and see what else Pure Heart wants," Battle Heart said impatiently. "I was looking forward to heading back to the Kingdom of Caring before to long..." Spirit Heart nodded in agreement, walking to the cabin, she knocked on the door three times.

Meanwhile where Tender Heart, Love-a-lot, and Take Care were.

Take Care took sipped her cup of tea with a cautious eye on Love-a-lot. Something's not right about her... she thought to herself. Tender Heart may not see it but I do... Suddenly Take Care started feeling funny. She shook her head. "What?"

"Take Care whatever is the matter, are you feeling okay?" Love-a-lot asked.

Take Care stood up quickly. She was going to say something to this imposture Love-a-lot, but before she could, the room started spinning.

"Take Care!" Tender Heart called out as the read head passed out on to the floor.

"Oh dear I hope she's alright!" Love-a-lot said, as she ran to his side. She didn't want to give herself away just yet. She wanted to make sure Take Care was completely out before doing her deed.

"Take Care! Take Care, answer me! Are you okay?" Tender Heart exclaimed as he shook Take Care. She was completely unconscious. He looked over at Love-a-lot. "What did you give her?" he exclaimed.

Love-a-lot gasped, and put on the ask of the accused. "Why Tender Heart, I gave her the same thing I gave you!" she took her to her feet. She put her hands behind her back, and gripped the crystal shard that had been given to her by the Spirit book.

Tender Heart looked at the cup of tea that had been spelled on the floor from Take Care. The once soft green liquid turned black. He closed his eyes and shook his head. He didn't want to believe it, but it was the truth. He had mistaken Love-a-lot for evil Love-a-lot. "Who are you really?" he said as he started towards her.

Love-a-lot backed away.

"You're not really Love-a-lot are you?"

The pink heard lady nodded her head slowly. Suddenly her hair turned a darker shade of pink. "You are very much right," she said, her voice as cold as it was when he had first met her in the forest. "I am Loathing Heart, but don't worry, you will be with your Love-a-lot soon," she pulled out the crystal shard.

"What is that?" Tender Heart said. [/I]Darn it, how do it use my symbol!

Loathing Heart didn't reply. She jumped on top of Tender Heart, and ripped open his shirt. "It's time for you to go where you belong Tender Heart!" she said as she held the shard above Tender Heart heart.

Tender Heart flinched and closed his eyes. He held up his arms shielding himself. A bright violet light shined out from the crystal shard. It engulfed Tender Heart pulled him into the crystal.

Loathing Heart smirked evilly. She stood up and walked over to Take Care's unconscious body. "Now, whatever shall I do with you?" she said as she crossed her arms over her chest. She still didn't get why the Sprite Book didn't give her a crystal for Take Care. "I simply can not leave her... she'll tell the others."

"Leave her, I want her to tell the others... once they find out that their leader is gone, they will all lose hope... do leave her." came the voice of the spirit book.

Loathing Heart chuckled at that thought. "Very well then, let her be the messenger," she said as she attached Tender Heart's crystal to her belt, and left the cottage. As soon as she was out side the place disappeared as though it had never existed.

"Say what again," Battle Heart exclaimed, looking at Pure Heart as if she was insane. Pure Heart folded her arms across her chest, raising an eyebrow to give him a look that said, "You know -exactly- what I said." Battle Heart shook his head in disbelief.
"We'll be glad to teach them how to use their charms," Spirit Heart said with an award winning grin. "Won't we, Battle Heart?" The wolverine muttered something, but nodded his head all the same. Pure Heart smiled with satisfaction, nodding.
"Please begin first thing in the morning; we're wasting precious time."
"...Yeah, and while we're on the topic of saving the universe, we have reason to suspect little Emma is watching this place." Battle Heart jabbed his thumb in the direction of the door. "She's out in the woods somewhere; and I can betcha she's not alone."

"Alright then there is no time to waste. We must begin training right a way. If Emma is being consumed by evil it will on be a matter of time before she is completely gone," said Prue Heart.

"What? How much time do we have?" exclaimed Tugs.

"From the looks of it very little..." said Grumpy in a serious tone. "I just hope we are up to this.."

"You bet we are!" said Cheer Bear.

"Yeah, Cheer Bear's right. If we put our minds together we can do anything!" said Hugs. "I know we can."

"Now that's what i like to here," said Pure Heart with a smile.

Take Care awoke with the biggest headache she had had in a long time. It took the red head a moment to adjust her mind to the reality that she was no longer in the comfort of the cottage. She was alone in the forest, and it was morning. She sat up quickly remembering what had happened. "Tender Heart!" she cried out. "Oh no... that Love-a-lot was Evil Love-a-lot and she's taken Tender Heart!" she exclaimed. "Oh I need to find the others..." she said before she stood up and started to looking for her other family members...

They worked well into the night, teaching the human Care Bear's how to use their charms. "How come you guys know how to use these things, when you're not even in human form?" Tugs asked Spirit Heart, awhile after he got his charm to work.
"Because I was born human," she told him with a wink. "I know human emotions and how to control them." Tugs nodded, and began target practice beside his mentor. The others were doing great as well, even Grumpy was getting the hang of it.
"That's good, Grumpy, now concentrate and aim it at the target." Grumpy stared at the target...

Take Care rushed through the woods, tearing through bushes and low branches. She jumped into a clearing, and landed on a familiar being...Emma.

"Emma!" Take Care said with a gasp. "I've found you." she said. "Come with me. I'm here to save you."

Take Care picked her up, and began running again. Surprisingly, Emma let her...well, that was because she was unconcious. Take Care hit her pretty hard...

"Well, Pure Heart, we've taught them everything they need to know, and they've had plenty of practice," Valor Heart reported with a grin.
"And with that note, we will be going-" Battle Heart began, starting towards the woods, but Valor stopped him as Spirit Heart began to speak.
"Would you like our help with your little...problem?" Pure Heart grinned gratefully, nodding.
"That would be wonderful, thank you!"

"One of the human Care Bear's have captured Emma," the Spirit Book cried angrily. "Dark Heart, you must get her...that clumsy Take Care knocked her out cold...it is up to you to get her before she can undo my spell!"

Take Care ran right in What looked to be the human form of True Heart and Noble Heart. "Take Care?" True Heart said as she really looked at her.

"It's me and I have Emma!" she said.

"Oh that's wonderful!" True Heart exclaimed as she was the unconscious girl in the red heads arms.

"What's wrong with her?" Asked Noble Heart.

"I ran into her and accidentally knocked her out. I have also have bad news. Tender Heart and Love-a-lot are in evil hands."

"WHAT! OH NO!" True Heat and Noble Heart exclaimed.

"We were tricked.." Take Care explained. She told them all about the meeting of their evil counter parts and how she and Tender Heart had mistake Loathing Heart for Love-a-lot and how she captured Tender Heart.

"We need to find that others NOW! Even more so out powerful ones." said True Heart.

"You can bet Brave Heart and us are next. Then they go for Wish, Harmony, Bedtime, Good luck, Funshine... Swift Heart, Bright Heart, and Lotsa Heart..." said Noble Heart.

"This isn't good the books trying weaken us... Right now we need to find a safe place for Emma so that book wont harm any more..." Take Care said.

"So, Pure Heart, what do we do?" Spirit Heart asked, smiling, but then she frowned. "I sense something...five beings. Two dark, three light...and one of the dark beings are unconcious. What do you think we should do?"

"We need to help them right away!" replied Pure Heart.

"Not on your life!" replied Take Care.

"You'll have to go though us first!" said True Heart.

"We're not letting you hurt Emma anymore!"

Dark Heart laughed. "You guys can't do any thing. You don't even know how to use your powers in those human bodies of yours! If any of you had any sense in your heads you would hand her over right now. Save yourself some pain!"

Take Care smiled. "Well then, why don't you come over and take her from us." She said, raising an eyebrow. "Or are you to scared?" She whispered to Noble Heart in a way that he couldn't see. "Get ready to take Emma from me." Dark Heart glared at her suspiciously, but said nothing, as he walked past True Heart, and tried to grab the unconcious girl. Noble Heart quickly took Emma from Take Care's arms, and his eyes widened as Take Care did multiple karate moves, and sent Dark Heart flying. "Run," True Heart cried, leading the way into the woods.

"The good people are heading towards Pure Heart's house with the unconcious bad guy," Battle Heart muttered. "I doubt they'll make it without running into that other guy once more..."
"Than run faster," Valor Heart suggested, jumping over a bush.

Meanwhile Loathing Heart returned to the spirit book, and presented the shard with Tender Heart trapped inside of it. "Master I have brought you Tender Heart. The Care Bears leader." she said as she bowed her head. Her dark chary-blond hair fell over her face shadowing it as she held up the crystal shard to the Spirit book.

"Excellent," the Spirit Book exclaimed. "Put it on the shelf over there for now; we have trouble in the woods. It seems the Care Bear's were able to capture Emma. You must get her back before those four fighters find them!" Loathing Heart nodded, gently placed the crystal on the shelf, and hurried out of the room. The Spirit Book sighed, and contacted the evil mist woman telepathically, telling her of the situation.

Noble Heart tore through the woods as fast as he could with the unconcious Emma in his arms. True Heart and Take Care followed close behind. He frowned when he saw the beginning of a mist up ahead. "We can hide in that mist," he told the others over his shoulder. He was surprised, though, that Dark Heart hadn't found them yet. Emma stirred slightly. She wouldn't be unconcious for to much longer...

"Ack, I think they've run into trouble," Spirit cried, sliding to a stop. She looked up at the area of mist, and quickly walked backwards. "And I think we should avoid this...I sense a lot of dark energy coming from it.

Noble Heart stopped running when he saw a figure standing in the distance. Take Care and True Heart caught up with him. "Oh no... we just ran into a trap!" exclaimed Take Care.

"Nice of you figure that out, Take Care..." Came Loathing Heart voice from behind. True Heart and Take Care turned around quickly facing Loathing Heart. While Noble Heart kept his attention on the dark figure standing in the distance; knowing full well it was Dark Heart.

Loathing heart folded her arms over her chest. Her expression was serious. "Hand over the girl!"

"Never..." said Take Care as she narrowed her eyes.

"The odds are against you... you can't obviously think that we are going to let you keep her do you?"

Dark Heart stepped out of the mist, glaring at Noble Heart. "We have more power than all three of you put together; you probably don't even know how to use them." He smirked, watching as Emma slowly opened her eyes, and narrowed them in puzzlement.
"Wha..?"
"Emma, get away from them!" Noble Heart held her close, but Emma was able to break free, and she hurried to Dark Heart, collapsing in front of him. She felt a bit dizzy... Suddenly, four unfamiliar figures jumped from the bushes, and landed beside Noble Heart, True Heart, and Take Care.
"This must be the right place," Spirit said under her breath to her friends, looking up at Dark Heart.
'Dark Heart, get Emma out of there immediately!' Dark Heart bent down, scooped up Emma, and rushed into the fog. Spirit wanted to follow, but she knew that fog was bad news.

After Dark Heart was gone they only had Loathing heart to deal with.

Loathing Heart... now that Emma is out of the way, you have orders to destroy them all!!!! The spirit book ordered. A clever smirk spread across Loathing heart's face. She gave a deep chuckle. She raised up her arms, her hands open to the heavens and summoned the powers within the darkness of her heart. The dark energy from with in her began to flow through her body. "It's time to die!" she said evilly, and she send her dark energy at Noble Heart, True Heart, and Take Care.

Loathing Heart was oblivious to the presence of Spirit Heart, Valor Heart and Battle Heart...

Dark Heart put Emma down in front of the Spirit Book. The younger girl stood up straight, holding up a strand of hair. Pure Heart's. "I managed to get this," she said plainly, putting it in a small tube, and then on a shelf with the other strands of hair already collected. The Spirit Book nodded, smirking.
"The last item is the Heart of the Darkest Evil; the battle may last awhile, if you are as skilled as I know you to be. However, we must not take chances. I shall cast a spell on you to strengthen your powers of darkness." Emma nodded obediently, going down to her knees, she bowed her head and closed her eyes as the Spirit Book began to chant.

Battle Heart smirked, a sword appearing in his paw. "Hey lady, what am I, chopped liver?" Loathing Heart looked at him, narrowing her eyes. He and his three companions were not human, but in their Care Bear Cousin forms. How could that be, she wondered. She shrugged her shoulders, figuring it did not matter. Spirit looked at Noble Heart and his companions and instructed them to run.
"We'll fight her off," Spirit promised, a sword appearing in her paw as well.

((OOC: You're move, Leilani!))

Loathing Heart smirked and calmly chuckled deeply as though she know something that the Spirit Heart and the others did not know. Noble Heart and True Heart and Take Care stopped in their tracks as the mist around them grew thicker.

Suddenly dark hateful feelings began to creep into their minds. No one the group knew the malicious evil of Loathing Hearts powers and the sick seed of hatred that she was planning in their hearts. "Humm, hummm, you all might as well be chopped liver... I'll leave you all to die by your hands." She smiled sweetly.

True Heart fell to her knees and covered her ears, and closed her eyes. She was trying to keep a hold on to the goodness with in herself, a not the power of Loathing Heart contaminate her heart.

Noble Heart was also trying to be strong but it was Heart it was like his mind was being flooded by song a pretty yet evil song of abhorrence.

Battle Heart tilted his head, slamming his fist against it a few times. "MAN! Now I've got FIVE voices in my head..." He sighed irritably, looking at Spirit who was tending to Noble Heart and True Heart, her paws on their heads in an attempt to heal them, her paws glowing with a light purple aura.

Valor winced, putting a paw to her head. She didn't like the thoughts going through her head... she needed to think happy thoughts! However, none seemed to be getting past the ever growing barrier of darkness... She felt something hitting her on the head and opened her eyes to find Battle Heart still knocking on her head. "Hello? HELL-O?! ANYBODY HOME?!" Valor rolled her eyes, giggling a little bit. She glanced at Nocturnal Heart, who remained silent, as usual. However, the silence seemed to be a bit more... awkward.

Darkness. No, it was more than that, beyond that. Evil, at its most true escence, and becoming more pure as she walked down the cave-like hall. The sounds of dripping water was the only thing that kept her company. Audibally, that is; for ahead were two creatures, known as hississ dragons. They sensed her coming, turning around and preparing to strike as she neared them. Suddenly, however, the young girl was behind them, a shining blade with a dark purple aura was out in fron of her, level with her eyes. The hississ dragons let out screeches of pain before falling over, dead. With only a tiny noise, she replaced her magic-crafted into its scathe, and continued on.

As she walked along the hall, the walls smoothed out, red paint appeared on the floors and walls in blunt patterns, visible only because of the eternally burning torches that lined the walls. Someone was exepcting her, she knew.

She reached a door, with black heart upon a red background, a bronze chain imprinted upon it. She walked over to the door and touched the image of the chain before the door opened before her, allowing her to slip into a room only lighted by the lava surrounding the floor near the walls. She looked to the other side of the large, nearly empty room, to see a darkly cloaked figure, standing before a podium with a glass case upon it, containing the item she was seeking.

The figure raised his head as she stopped not quite fifteen feet from him, hand on her swords hilt. He turned to her, only his mouth revealed by his hood. "Young one, your soul is corrupted; desert your darkness here and leave with a pure heart." Emma said nothing, merely pulling her blade and taking on a neutral stance, offensive, yet defensive. The figure took out a blade from inside his cloak, blazing orange in color. "I do not wish to hurt you, but I will not allow you to take the Heart." Emma's eyes narrowed, her feet rushing forward, engaging in battle with the dark guardian.

(I had that last scene already written... but I can't find where I put it! ARGH! Oh well, I like how this one turned out)

Loathing Heart malicious laughter carried all the around the group. she's still here... Take Care thought to herself. She wanted to move, and do something to make all of the madness in her head and around her stop. Was this really the power that Love-a-lot could have if she were dark? If it was there had to be a way to harness Love-a-lot's heart and get her power of love to fight the hate of Loathing Heart's power.

True Heart continued to close her eyes. She felt that this was the only solution to stop herself from acting on all the hateful mean thoughts that were running through her mind. She hoped Noble Heart was doing better then her. He seemed to have a more enduring spirit than hers.

Meanwhile Pure Heart had been over seeing the battle that was just beginning against Loathing Heart. Hugs and Tugs and the others stood next to her.

"So what do we do, thing's don't look good..." said Hugs. The soft pink haired girl raised a finger to her mouth in worried thought.

Pure Heart looked at her, then a thought came to mind. Hugs held a emotion of love in her heart, to give comfort and compassion to those who needed it. Perhaps her heart was strong enough to combat Love-a-lot's counter part. She turned to Hugs, and placed a hands on her shoulders. "Perhaps there maybe something that you can do." she said with a smile.

"huh?" Hugs looked a Pure Heart oddly. "...but what can I do?"

"Your heart is strong, you hold a virtue of love, this could be a good chance for you test the power of your heart."

"How do I do that?"

"It's simple..." ....

(back to where the Take Care and others are)

Take Care stood up, unable to withstand Loathing Heart's laughter. "SHUT UP YOU! COME OUT SHOW YOURSELF! YOU COWERED! ONLY A SCARED PERSON HINDS IN THE SHADOWS! COME BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME!"

Watch yourself... replied Loathing Heart's voice in Take Care's ear.

Suddenly Take Care found herself being pounced on by someone behind her...

"True Heart," Spirit cried out when the cream haired lady had suddenly leaped at Take Care, bringing the red hair to the ground. The black werewolf continued to attempt to put a mental barrier around Noble Heart's mind. Though, due to True Heart's sudden turn to insane, she wasn't sure how well the barrier would work... "Come on, Noble, you can do it..."

"Yo, Truey," Battle Heart called out, tackling True Heart before she could do anything, and had her pinned to the ground, his eyes narrowed, staring into hers. "Stop that!" Nocturnal rushed to aid Take Care, bracing himself in case she had an outburst, too. Valor was prepared to back any of them up. If Take Care, True, and Noble all went evil, it was 4 on 3, but still, it would pay to stop the turn before it happened.

Suddenly softer pink light appear in the mist the fog. Its energy made the fog fade. Hugs appeared. Her eyes were closed, and her hands rose at chest length. Her palms turned in word, and floating in the center of them was her tummy symbol. From it came the warm raise of her heart's power; "comfort".

Loathing Heart shield her eyes with her arms, and hissed before vanished along with the rest of her fog.

Hug's light began to fade and Loathing Heart's spell was broken. She opened her eyes. "Hurry go through the port hole." she said.

Battle Heart grabbed True Heart and Noble Heart, and helped them into the portal, while Valor and Nocturnal assisted with Take Care. Spirit followed, but stopped in front of the portal. "You coming, Hugs?"
