Talesin son of Llywarch - The Dual Flame

Speak my name: Taliesin Emyr ap [son of] Llywarch (Taliesin- Shining Brow, as well as being a legendary bard; Emyr means King- however that is used to refer to his 'other' personality, the slightly more....dominint one. ^^ aka his psychopathic side.)

Pyrokenesis: The ability to create and control fire. Definitely his most dangerous ability, and though he does have a decent control over this power, his control is not perfect. (and seeing as how he's an easily distracted person...)
Flame Aegis: Taliesin is unable to be harmed by fire or heat of any kind. He could pick up a piece of red-hot iron and only feel minor discomfort. However, there is still danger in fire, since he can still be hurt by smoke inhalation.
A fateful touch: On his collarbone right around the neck. It gives the impression of a rising phoenix. (He's a bit sensitive about the fact that it's there, the reason for his always wearing high-necked shirts. He never has his shirt off when people are around.) If he were to have his shirt off, the mark would be seen to exhibit firey oranges and reds when he manipulates his element.
By demeanour exposed: Taliesin himself is a sweet person. He likes companionship, though he does have an issue about 'personal space.' He likes to learn and discover things, and tends to be a bit on the 'flakey' side. He often wanders off after something that catches his eye, only to realize later that not only doesn't he remember where he was going, he doesn't know how to get back.
He doesn't like exhibiting his powers, especially since he doesn't have the best grasp on them. He is very sensitive about his marking and hides it as best he can. And though he likes having friends, he is a bit embarrassed about falling in love with someone, but he is still chivalrous to the ladies. He has a tendancy to be a bit childish and naive.
When he was infused with Ifera's Soul, he developed a second personality, one stronger and more outgoing than his own. This secondary personality is known as "Emyr" and often pops out at rather inopportune times. Emyr is more confident and will say and do things that Taliesin would never dream of. And though it is a 'split personality' Taliesin does not treat it as another person. He knows it to be himself, and is often confused that people are frightened by it.
A bond unbroken: Taliesin doesn't have many friends since he's spent most of his time learning to be a Bard. But he is not against friendship. He'd like to have friends...
A bloodline unstained: Taliesin comes from a long line of Bards. His Grandfather, Ellidyr was quite renowned, and his father Llywarch as well (until they decided to get married and have a family that is.) His mother is still living and he loves her dearly. Taliesin has no siblings.
One way forward, no way back: Ever since he was born, Taliesin has been groomed to be the continuation of his 'Family Business' as a Bard. He was brought up to learn the old legends and stories as Bards are not just wandering minstrels- they are also the embodiment of history. He had to learn as much as possible about the past and memorize the legends and folk tunes.
Taliesin was about 4 when the Crystal Hearts shattered. He had been playing in the woods outside the family home when the soul of Ifera entered his chest. His powers erupted and created an explosive burst that set the area he was in abaze, but the force threw him clear. His parents found him unconsious away from the flames and believed that it was a lightning strike since no one else had witnessed it.
Taliesin was frightened about it, and kept his powers and mark secret from his parents. He practiced control when he was alone either in his room or in the woods outside his house, and adopted wearing high-necked shirts even in summer to hide the mark. Not too long after his 14th birthday, Taliesin's father decided that it was high time that Taliesin start on a short journey as a Bard. He had traveled with his father before, but this time he woud be unaccompanied by any family members. Once he had prepared his clothes, provisions and harp, Taliesin set off on his own and promptly got lost.
Give me strength: Taliesin carries a small dagger by his belt, but is rather afraid to use it. He prefers not fighting unless forced to.
Make me, break me: Taliesin is kind hearted and a good listener. He has a beautiful high tenor voice and is quite masterful on both the small harp and the large, full-sized harp. When Emyr takes over, he becomes very brave and strong, though he is not normally like that. He is knowledgable about history and legends.
However, he is a bit of a space cadet. He will often take off down mental rabbit trails that no one else cares about, or get himself lost, or just completely forget what he was saying and go do something else. It makes long conversations very hard. He also tends to be physically fragile as well as health-wise. Since he has been slightly sheltered, Taliesin is still very naive about the real world and easily duped.
Turn my way: So far, he hasn't known any girls well enough to fall in love, but he isn't against finding a nice girl. In fact, he'd probably like it.
A smile, a scowl: Taliesin loves new experiences and meeting new people. He adores singing and playing his harp, as well as telling tales for people. He likes heat, though not excessive heat, and his favorite drink is sweet milky tea.
Taliesin does not like being mistaken for a girl because of his rather feminine voice and hair (though it's happened enough that he's learning to deal with it). He is rather cautious of forests anymore (seeing as how he could easily burn it down) and he dislikes getting wet as well as any large bodies of water (he doesn't swim at all). He dislikes foods with little or no taste, and bitter things make him almost physicially sick. He also hates being lost (though it happens often enough...^^)
Light my way: Taliesin is still travelling as a bard, most likely lost again, and will likely encounter the others in this way.This will probably be edited some as time goes on. ^^
