Yay! He's back! *happy dance* New forum sounds good, if you'll be active there. I just have to remember to check it. Might have to poke me on this forum a couple times if I become inactive. I've been a bit scarce lately, as well. My mom's decided she needs some proof that I'm not just sitting here on my lazy butt. Not that that's not at least partially true, but hey. She doesn't understand sprites, so I've taken up chainmaille jewlery and beading. I find beading amusing because the design principles are the same as those in spriting. Pointillism in yet another medium.

If Skiek's still with us, we might want a sheet for him, too. I'm still (slowly) working on my sheet. The basics are done; walking, armor, a couple of attacks. Any requirements/suggestions for the training master & sub? I'll do those. They should be fairly simple to complete. Did we decide on the background type? Isometric vs sideview? Sideview would definately be the easiest to do. A list of the items we'll need would be a good idea, too. BTW, sorry if it takes me some time to reply these days. My mom's got me busy.

If we do it as a comic first, we'll have some of the plot & character development set down in stone; as well as giving you two more time before needing your sheets to be able to be animated. Eitehr that, or we should flesh out the storyline much more before starting. Personally, I'd rather all three of us our characters be equally important for the majority of the storyline. However, to get the comic/movie started, we can follow my character until she meets up with you guys. Again, giving you time to work on your sheets. Different story arcs can focus on different characters. Skiek: Heehee. That's cute. Like his little boots. We're doing it MM7-style, though; that sprite would clash a bit. I think I already linked to a Megaman sheet? Remind me if I'm wrong. Of course, you could always use one of the other characters in the series as a base; Mega's just the one with the largest PD sheet by fan spriters. If either of you need help with your sheets, let me know. MM7-style sprites are generally easy to edit, and there are a lot of tutorials for them, but some people find them much more difficult than others; and poses for them arn't always a cup of tea. Especially since they start out with mostly ugly poses. I'll get started on some background characters, and whatnot. We can decide where and how to use them when we get to it. Are either of you good with backgrounds? I havn't had much experience, and most on it's been either isometric or at an angle. Lessee... okay, so let's review the story and add a bit more. Feel free to add to, clarify, change or delete any of this. We're in the city of Metropolis, which is in the center of a war between the countries Sibwen and Usiro. (We assume that Metropolis has either strategic placement or excellent resources to warrent this.) The city is a battlefield, and the residents that havn't defected to either side are holed up underground in an attempt to survive the war and remain independant of either nation. There is a high level of technology, and magic/spiritual energy/life force that will accentuate our weapons (neither of the other sides have this ability). Dr Wiley is helping both sides of the war (but presumably not our own). It would follow that Dr Light is helping the resistance? Our characters just came of age to help with the war. We follow Ifer as she signs up and gets a tour of the base. A room is assigned, report to skill assessment the next day. Skiek and Games are in the same skill assessment class. The class tests knowledge, leadership, tactics, mechanical aptitude, various physical attributes, and weapons proficiency. We first get a glipse of the abilities of our protagonists. (add stuff here) Ifer, Skiek and Games team up during training missions, mainly because their skills and fighting styles compliment each others'. Many of the other classmates go it alone during training, or a large group will form with one person as leader. (add stuff here) The class is given their first assignment, (insert very low-risk mission here). Each is given their first weapons and armor, suited to their abilities. Ifer, Skiek & Games have a bit of trouble, but manage to pull through. A couple of the other teams get into major trouble, and a couple others do excellently and manage to really help the higher-ups. (add stuff here) The gang volunteer for some extracurricular assignments, guard duty, etc.; gaining experience and credits along the way. On a minor mission, they learn (something to do with one of the warring countries). Either they tell their superior who ignores it/it goes through a ton of paperwork that never adds up to anything; or they don't have time and take it into their own hands and manage to (barely) stop the event, getting major wounds in the process. Either way, it helped the resistance gain ground, so they're given a reward; a large part of which the gang uses to order upgrades. (add stuff here) The upgrades arrive. (add rest of story here) How's that for the basic plot for the first while? We'll need a lot more details, storyboards, and scripts; but it's a start. Anything you don't like, feel free to change. These are only ideas, mkay?
