ITCHY POOPZKID
Dead Serious Where Are My Records (Posted Image) Ah, the Germans with their wacky, zany sense of humour. See, they have a silly name, but the album is called "Dead Serious", but the man on the cover is giving you the finger. Is funny, no? Fortunately, for all concerned, but especially those of who've had a wacky bypass, this album is abso-bloody-lutely great. I must admit, I'd thought that the days of pop-punk doing anything remotely interesting were long gone. But this rocks. Dude. I've never heard "Heart To Believe" or "Time To Ignite", their previous records, but I'll be shooting off to an illegal file sharing website a bit sharpish after I finish typing this. For sure, they're a little bit Greenspring, a wee bit Offday, and they do have an unfortunate Rancid like tendency to skank at the most inopportune time, but there's at least half a dozen monster, monster tracks here. The number one single is, obviously, 'Another Song The DJs Hate', but songs like 'Last Goodbye', 'Pretty Me', the Status Quo like 'Say Hello' and the accordion wielding 'Waiting For The Waves' have real staying power. An unexpected treat. :twisted :twisted :twisted 1/2 / 3.5 out of 5 Download @ Amazon |
