It's been a little quiet here of late so I thought I'd start a discussion about the upcoming 'ryche album.

I don't know about you but when I first heard they were doing this I just thought oh God not another second rate metal sequel. However, the samples and songs they've been posting have got me all excited not to mention the addition of Mr. Dio Although I thought that Dr. X already had someone who played him in the first one, oh well I suppose there's been more than one James Bond and even more than one Professor Dumbledore (heaven forbid)!

Anyway I'm really excited I just hope I won't get St. Anger-ed if you know what I mean.

What? Mindcrime is absolute masterpiece, tasteful and ultimately beautiful certainly in my top three if not at number one.

I'm not sure I'd want a twelve inch single, I'm not a big vinyl buff and I don't really buy singles either unless there's some interesting B-sides. However I have just bought Sabbat's Dreamweaver on vinyl as a CD version would bankrupt me!

Well the eighties for me were all about cock!shock!rock! and the last thing I needed in 88 was prog metal. I had Cinderella, Warrant, Motley Crue, waist length (dyed) red hair and a selection of lovely laydeez :twisted

Listening back now, while I appreciate the quality of the music, it has an emotional void for me. I actually prefer 'Empire' which has moments of humanity about it.

Fair enough, I like Empire too just Silent Lucidity is perhaps a bit boring.
