The wind blew with a disturbing ease over the quiet, empty tarmac of the military base. With barely a cloud in the sky the scene was complimented with a pleasant tranquillity, something not often seen around a bustling military base. Here and there the odd military vehicle was parked, dead to the world without and operators to assist in their working. Even the buildings looked like something reminiscent of a zombie horror, empty of all life.

Without warning, nothing to suggest it' arrival, an object began to enter the atmosphere from high above. Only when it closed in on the ground did the surroundings begin to change. The atmosphere began to darken slightly, the sky began to cloud over bringing a grey shade to the military base and the air began to tighten. As the object gained speed, closing in with every second, it became more apparent that it was not just an object. In fact it looked like a person, a mortal. Surely a mortal could not fall from such a height and survive. Seconds passed as the humanoid figure closed in on the ground, soon the skies had completely clouded over and the rain began to fall. With each drop the figure closed in, then came the landing.

With a tremendous flash of lightning, a large resounding explosion and a crackle of electricity the individual landed. Before the extend of the damage could be seen the landing area was shrouded in smoke, rubble from the ground thrown up on impact and mixing with the rain. No sooner had the individual landed however the once empty buildings surrounding the tarmac courtyard began to thrive with activity. From four angles, four different buildings, soldiers began to emerge on mass. Heavily armed they proceeded to surround the landing sight, taking aim on the dust cloud that had emerged within the rain before them. Soon enough a good two hundred soldiers had amassed, their guns trained on the landing zone. Then, as the dust settled, it was apparent why. Stood bolt still, tall and proud with his arms folded. The individual, the Zionite known as Cage, looked on with an almost sly smirk. Finely dressed in a expensive, yet casual, black, suit that seemed untouched by the rain, Cage looked towards the most prominent officer and nodded. "So they've been expecting me?" he said with a cold, sly tone.

Anubis, already inside of the matrix and alone for quite some time, had made his way across the city on foot. As he reached the edge of the outer city, he had halted in his footsteps. His attention had been drawn skyward toward the descent of a humaniod figure from above. A smirk began to form across his mouth as a name emerged from under his breath, "Cage..." he said as he continued to watch the figure's decline. Eventually, over the horizon, Anubis had only witnessed a flash, followed by a noticable vibration at his feet. Anubis began to almost second guess himself, but knew his ally and friend, Cage, could make such an approach so effortlessly. As he looked down toward the macadam, his head shook slightly followed by a brief laugh and continued toward the military base. When the rain finally reached Anubis's position, his hands made their way into his vested-trench pockets.

As Anubis reached the entrance of the tall barbwired fence, two military policemen had their backs turned and attention focused on the comotion with their rifles at ease. While the two men had their eyes squinted and heads both tilted forward to fix their sights at the emerged soldiers, Anubis had ceased walking and came to a stop inbetween the two men. With his hands remaining in his pockets, his words had startled in suprise of the soldier to Anubis's right, "This is going to be one fucked up night. Do you both agree?"

Simultaneously, both of the soldiers spun around with their rifles ready to aim and began firing. Before the aim of the soldier to his right had sight, Anubis batted the weapon outward, then drawing his attention to the second soldier, grabbing the barrel of the rifle and pulling it toward him at his side. The bullets that left the barrel of the weapon had made their home into the first soldier, then with his left palm, shot his hand upward and jammed the man's nose up into his skull. As the firing ceased, the rifles hit the macadam at Anubis's feet and a muffled voice shouting through a walkie-talkie could be heard, but not understood. He had continued forward, his hands finding their way into his pockets once more.

Geist

Their time for a return was at hand according to His and Jinx’s Benefactor. Shiva had instructed them that something significant would occur at the cities Military base. It was a location that seemed to be a hub for the destined of late, mused Geist as he deftly leapt from the final low lying building before the no mans land that surrounded the compound. To his right, the emotionally cold Jinx kept up with him, despite his longer strides.

It struck him as odd that they were returning to this place, the place of her incarceration those many weeks ago. It had been a queit life since. Paradox had gone his own way, impatient that Shiva’s plan had not yet come to a beginning. The Triad was now two until his return , but Shiva had assured them that two would be sufficient for her machinations. Geist was not so sure. Individually he and Jinx were nothing short of forces of un-nature , but they had not worked together and so it was hard for Geist to gauge how well they would operate as a unit. This would be the test.

Their mission was simple reconnaissance but with the base being such a charged environment a simple miscalculation or alarm could spark a fight for survival that would not be permitted this early into Shiva’s campaign.

Ahead of him a figure fell from the sky, Geist's programmed eye’s enhancing the features of the figure. The fall and subsequent collision with the ground instantly triggered the alarms. Still running, Geist unholstered his pair of silenced Uzi’s and readied himself for the fight ahead, Shiva’s instructions running through his head. Observe the event from afar as much as you are able. If there are complications , intervene.. He would intervene and the Military would feel the fury he could muster once more.

Jinx [IU v.13]

Her mission was given and she would complete it. Besides, Geist was with her and she trusted him beyond measure. He would lead and she would be led, there was nothing more to it. She kept up with him as he leapt and ran across the rooftops. He had a longer pace but she had more agility and speed, It was no problem to follow him.

As they approached their destination, there was a brief emotional connection as she understood where they were going but it passed as something within her blocked it out. She knew she was returning to her former place of captivity but there was no feeling or desire for revenge, where logic dictated there should be. She didn’t care she had a job and it would only get in the way.

They were close now. She looked over to Geist, increasing her pace a little to see his face. He looked concerned as he looked from sky to the direction of the base. She followed his gaze, unhooking the clips from the Baton holders at her waist. She could sense his intention from the way his speed increased, confirmed when he unholstered his guns. She matched his pace, her batons in hand and extended behind her. He intended to join the fight. So did she.

[OOC: It's assumed that this occurs weeks after Jinx's rescue and that said rescue went Ok for all concerned, bar a few (read: lots) dead soldiers.

"Stand down Mr Cage!" was the officers reply. Cage remained bolt still in the place where he had landed, the cracks webbing out below his feet. As the rain fell with some ferocity, colliding with the ground and causing some prominent splashes, the sound of gun fire broke the almost silent scene. Several of the soldiers turned from viewing Cage to look in the direction of the gun fire, the entrance to the compound. Cage however had no need to look, his sense of the code stronger than ever, he knew who had arrived.

"I am not here to fight you. I am here for the Agents, it is my destiny!" Cage said, his tone abrupt and too the point, his arms still folded. He was unarmed, his newly reawakened feeling for the code his greatest weapon, guns were of no use to him. Slightly taken back by his words the officer stepped forwards, his serious expression never fading. "Mr Cage, we have been instructed to bring you in" he said, raising his hands from behind his back to reveal a pair of containment manacles, "We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. It is your choice? Remember however you are out numbered by two hundred of my best men". Cage took a glimpse to his right and then too his left as the officer spoke. Then, once again, he smirked. "You would risk the lives of these good men on a single soul like myself, do not make this a truly dark day for you officer" Cage replied, tensing his muscles underneath the fine suit. The rain suddenly began to subside as if it was an extension of his preparation for the coming fight. "Two hundred men may out number myself but they do not out match myself. You would do well to step aside." he said, releasing his arms from their folded position and clenching his fists.

The officer, clearly shocked by Cage' stubborn tenacity, nodded to one of his soldiers. Slowly the soldier stood up, gun trained on Cage, and began to walk towards him. With the barrel of the assault rifle placed up against Cage' temple, the soldier smiled. Cage, not removing his eyes from that of the officers, bowed his head slightly. "You have chosen the wrong path my friend" he said, a hint of sorrow in his tone,
"No I believe it is you who has chosen the wrong path" the officer replied advancing on Cage, "Hold out your arms!".
"I am afraid I cannot do that" Cage replied, looking deep into the officers eyes.
"Do what he says" the soldier holding the gun shouted, pushing the barrel harder into Cage' temple.
"So be it" Cage replied.

Without warning, Cage reached up grabbing the officer by the scruff of the neck. Before the soldier could pull the trigger, the gun in his hand rotated to face him, before he could panic a bullet lodged its self deep in his brain putting him to the ground. Shocked by the sudden outbreak of battle several of the soldiers didn't pull the trigger. This gave Cage enough time to pull the officer in close and drop below their line of fire. Human shield one side, power of mind the other, Cage remained safe as a barrage of bullets headed his way. Within seconds the body of the officer was no more than a red mess. Where the officer did not cover, several bullets fell from the sky as if defeated by an invisible wall. The focus in Cage' eyes was all to clear to see, a vein in his head visibly pulsing. Soon enough the panicked soldiers paused to reload, that’s when Cage made his move. Dropping the bullet ridden corpse of the officer to the ground Cage leapt high into the sky, flipping in mid air and landing perfectly on the edge of one of the roof tops. As all the soldiers tried, in vein, to reload perfectly. He looked towards the entrance, there walking forwards as if with no care in the world was his old friend, Anubis. Sending a welcoming nod his way, Cage then dropped to the ground and rolled backwards as a barrage of bullets peppered the roof where he had previously been stood.

Geist

With no more than Thirty pace between the exiles and the compounds edge the Battle erupted before them. Briefly a shadow flickered through the air above the amassed troops. It revealed itself to be an individual who landed without effort nearby, still drawing the troops fire towards the right hand side of Geists peripheral vision. It also seemed that something was occurring at the bases front entrance. With no clear line of sight Geist could only assume it was another faction or factions come to aid the newcomer. whatever it was it was splitting the military force further weakening them to what was coming.

Only a few steps separated Jinx and him from the compounds edge the last of which ended with a focussed spring up and over it which Jinx copied, adding a forwards somersault for her own amusement. They landed side by side and began to skirt around the nearest building, Jinx following briefly but deciding that her path lay above on the buildings rooftop.

Geist heard a shifting step quickly followed by the almost indistinguishable movement of debris behind and above him. He trusted she knew what she was doing so continued along his own path. The Troops still preoccupied by their primary target had failed to register that two more were ready to join the fray. [i]This will prove to be intriguing[/i[ he thought before checking his weapons once and separating himself from the buildings shadow.

He aimed and fired taking out at least three with his initial burst. Confusion reigned. He fired another burst, leaping as he did, wounding two and killing the third closest soldiers. They only then began to choose him as a target. His momentum took him beyond the arc of their fire. He landed amongst them his Uzi's dealing death upon his landing. He was aware of a smaller figure crossing the distance from the rooftop to the gathered soldiers. Her path was clear and her wrath was felt instantly as two soldiers broke her fall, ribs crushed by angled knees.

He lost sight of her then. but trusted that she would be adding her share of the body count. To his left he noticed the figure of the fallen individual had moved to ground level. Geist would need to track his participation, he was the reason Shiva had sent them after all. Geist would find out why.

Jinx [IU v.13]

Her plan was simple. Leaving Geist to draw further fire, trusting to the fact that he had a capability for survival that a mere human could not hope to overcome, she would attack as her ingrained skills demanded. Hand to hand. to this she needed to get in close and with that much ammunition flying she would need to attack from an inconceivable angle. That angle she believed was above.

So she had quickly leapt onto the roof above her and had moved swiftly across it waiting for her moment. It came quickly as Geist emerged from beneath the obscuring corner of the building. she waited a little longer before backing up slightly and taking a short run up, leaping off her right foot into the free air. her attack was sudden and the surprise on the faces of her two victims told her the gamble had paid off.

The crunch of snapping bone told her the two were wounded if not dead. so she quickly sprang to her feet A baton already mid swing towards the nearest soldier. It connected sharply against the back of his knee. he had no choice to drop onto it exposing his face to swift kick from her booted foot. The small drops of blood that fell behind the arc of his fall told her she had broken his nose. there was no time to think on it further as she moved towards her next target who was turning to face her. she simply punched him with a straight jab which knocked backwards allowing her to move in with a thundering side kick which sent him to the floor.

She could not finish him as others were moving to intercept her. She moved quickly amongst them denying them a clean shot, raining swift strikes on exposed necks hands and clubbing at elbows and knees as she passed. She knew they would hold back from retaliating due to her sex and it was to their disadvantage. it wouldn't last long but it was an advantage she had to prolong. a seconds look told her that Geist was faring as well. A lucky push knocked her forward into a soldier who looked directly at her.

"Game over Darlin." He said in a subtle Texan accent.

"Fraid not." She replied, her own newly British accent still sounding strange to her ears. She followed her statement with a blindingly fast open palm that sent the soldier flying. She turned to find a pair of soldiers, one of them smiling, perhaps sensing the endgame. She would wipe it from his face.

Frost watched the entire senario from his perch on the roof tops not far from where them. It was Cage, Geist and a new face he hadn't ever seen before. It was a woman. And a very very nice fighter at that. Frost would have to put that to the test on day. But he didn't think now would be the optimum time for such a challenge. His Captin was in a hostile situation, and as second in command. Frost had to help.

Frost stood, looking at the large gap between himself and the fight. It was fairly large, larger now he wasn't looking through the 12x scope of his barret .50 calbier high powered rifle. He slung the rifle on his back before making sure that his twin desert egals were preped and ready for action. Frost looked down at them. Asessed the situation before smiling and puting the pistols back into their holsters. He wouldn't be needing them tonight.

Frost looked up at the two men that stood their looking at the new girl. A wicked smile curled upon his face as he closed his eyes. His body lifted off of the ground before disappearing. He reappeared instantly behind the two men, ramming his hands into their back and lifting them off of their feet. The two men started to convulse, almost like they were having fits. It was only when their voices took on the typical metalic sound of glitching code was it made obvious something wasn't right. The two men glitched one more time before the disappeared into Frost's hands.

Frost stood there, panting a little as he straightened himself up. He brushed himsefl off before lookign directly at the girl infront of him. His piercing grey eyes watching the girl with a little suspicion. Frost smiled.

"So... That it? Or we got more to kill? I'm feeling a little better after that."

Cage rolled off the roof, landing roughly on the ground to the other side. Without pause he stood to his feet and dusted himself off, removing a single berretta from a concealed holster inside his suit jacket. Slamming his back into the wall of the building before him, he glanced through the window and out of the window on the other side. The soldiers had taken up firing positions covering the roof whilst two others attempted to climb and inspect. This was not what took Cage's attention however. Towards the back of the group, where the numbers were sparse, two other individuals took to the fray. One of them he recognised from his time in the code, Giest.

Abruptly a fist slammed square into Cage's jaw from his right hand side. With no time to defend, he was sent hurtling towards the edge of the building, his body hitting hard into the dirt causing a small crater. Quickly leaping to his feet, Cage was astonished to see what had hit him. Memories poured back to him of the countless times he had run into this foe, times he strangely missed. The agent straightened his tie and looked towards Cage intently. "Anomaly Zero Three, it appears we meet again" he spoke in the usual cold, unemotional tone used by the programs that haunted zionites every move within the matrix, "This time it will be your last". Cage knew he would not be able to defeat the agent, only the one had ever done so. In his time as a Zionite, Cage had fought many agents, including the time in which he died. All of those times he had put up a good, honest fight worthy of the one but all those times he had never truly defeated the agent programs involved. When he developed his control over the code, his ability to fight Agents had increased and he did achieve one or two hard fought victories. But these were never enough to truly end the menace, all Zionites knew nothing would truly bring an end to the Agent menace. Not even the events of Neo's passing brought a true end to them. Raising his right hand fist into the air behind his head and clenching his fist, Cage outstretched his left hand open palmed. "That’s the first time I have been designated" he said, a smirk passing across his face, "I'm not going to let it be my last". With those words a shockwave of telekinetic energy burst forth from Cage's open palm. Dragging dust, debris from the ground and smashing the windows of the building as it passed, the shockwave enveloped the Agent.

A couple of tense minutes passed, as Cage looked on intently. Slowly the dust began to settle and too Cages surprise, the Agent remained stood perfectly as he had before. Looking on inquisitively, Cage struggled to comprehend what had happened. The use of his power was perfect, the code had rippled as he had wished, each fragment slamming into the Agents code. Then the Agent smirked, "Anomaly Zero Zero Three, I have been programmed to destroy you and your allies. I know your strengths and your weakness's. We are as you might say, Upgrades". Cage's face darkened at the news, this Agent was new to the system and it seemed the system had found a way to void his powers, at least to that extent. Quickly, without a thought yet knowing full well it would only by him time, Cage drew a second berretta 9mm and opened fire. The agent bent, swerved, leaned and ducked every bullet like the Agent programs had always done but this gave Cage his exit. Focusing hard, putting all his telekinetic energy behind him, Cage leapt clean into the air. Hovering no more than ten inches above the ground, dust flying up below his feet, he flew towards the perimeter fence. The agent immediately opened fire. The bullets ricocheted around Cage, slamming into buildings, smashing windows and bouncing off metal posts. Just as he began to leap over the perimeter fence, two of the bullets struck true, slamming deep into his calf. Thrown off balance, Cage cleared the perimeter fence barely and slammed hard into the dirt on the other side. The bone wrenching crunch echoing out as his collar bone snapped under the impact. Holding back the cry of pain, Cage stumbled to his feet and glanced back. Unfortunately for him, his Agent pursuer had not given up the chase, why would he. He was making haste towards the perimeter fence, Cage was now stuck in a very difficult position. Stay and fight, probably to his second and probably final death or run. In running he would only get so far in this state before the Agent caught him. There was only one choice right now, fight. As the Agent leapt the fence, aiming a missile punch towards him, Cage swung his good leg around to meet him.
