Not long ago Mana mentioned in his Aesthetics that there would be an article in FOOL'S MATE magazine at the end of the month about Dis Inferno.
My friend informed me the magazine came out today so I hurried to the nearest book store and bought it.
Unfortunately there isn't an article about Moi dix Mois specifically, but there is a (small) picture of Mana from Dis Inferno! So please enjoy!




If I notice anything mentioned specifically about Moi dix Mois in the article, I'll translate it and post it here!

When I first read your description of his outfit in the post about the event I thought it was going to look really weird on picture, but I think he looks adorable.

I think it is just the timing and angle of the shot.

From what I can see of the costume, it certainly was a departure from his usual style. But the pic makes it very hard to see what the costume consists of.

You know, on second though, even though tiny, and it seems he got shafted by fools mate,

It is not that bad a pic. I shows angle of him, most fans don't get to see.

He does look punk, which is something he likes, so yea....it works.

(some here will know that I was kinda sad for Mana when I saw this pic. Reading that there was nothing in the mag about MDM, and only a small pic of Mana in a very un-Mana like pose.)

But seeing the comments after mine has made that subside.

When you go to a concert you see many angles you wish you hadn't!

I always love getting to see new expressions and aspects of him that are uncommon. But that's because I don't get caught up in just the imagery and I find him interesting as a person.

I know there are many kinds of fans. Some who will watch from a distance and think "cool", those who will approach only to tear him up for being human, those who will project their dreams onto him and then get upset when he has his own goals, and sometimes, rarely, those who enjoy his work but learn to appreciate the real individual behind the creative impulse. :mana:

I have to come to realize....I LIKE THIS PIC.

As Acacialazuli said it shows yet another aspect of this creative soul.

It much like the one photo floating around of him at a concert, his face is dead on to the camera, his arms outstretched and his eyes turned up to the sky (okay, ceiling). His mouth is partially open. He almost looks like he is seeing god, or some other deity.

Someone got this pic and put the caption WTF is that?

I have always liked this photo of him. It is one of my faves, it really shows...I guess his humanness. Someone called it unflattering, but I don't think it as such. I think it is a great pic of him.

The little pic of him in his pink outfit, was at first disappointing to me, not because of the pic per se, but because of how he seemed to be treated by Fools mate. According to Sarah this pic was Tiny, with nothing about Mdm connected to it. I kinda took that, and the pic as a kick in the teeth to Mana....who does not deserve that. I have read people railing on him for not getting another album out, and calling him lazy (which he might be), and other not so nice things (no one on this forum though).

Sarah said it most succinctly. Mana prefers quality over quantity.

Who can fault him for that?

In the states there are music artists that put nothing new out for more than 5 years. There is one artist by the name of Maynard, the head of a band called "a Perfect Circle" as well as "tool". He has not released an album in nearly 8 years. He does not get such treatment, as Mana seemed to get by fools mate.

But as I look at this newest pic of the maestro I see that it is a good pic. It shows yet another facet of this man.

~LAST YEAR PARTY~

Not the yearly session style, the feeling of the one-man style program at this year end party live seemed to have various different ideas than the typical one-man live!
First, in the beginning the audience screamed loudly for the member's costumes.
All the members appeared in a punk style that engendered a different atmosphere than usual.
Of course Mana gave everyone the biggest shock.
He wore a pink gauze shirt and mini skirt, and with red lipstick drawn on his lips, his gothic punk style was very pretty.
The exciting vector surely transformed iron number set list line up and the different visual image.
Then at the climax, a big explosion started within an announcement.
A new album will be released in 2010 and Mana-Sama's birthday will be on March 19.

Further more at the live, there will be a coupling tour held with Kozi......
At the Tokyo performance Count Yu~ki will also make an appearance!
As Seth read a message from Yu~ki there was an uproar on the grounds.
This exciting live was heaping up in a spur, from a new song all the way to the last song "La dix croix" when afterwards the members and the audience had a break,
then the year-end party finished with success as three well known songs were played and Mana played drums to "LA VIE EN ROSE" (D'ERLANGER) and then the yearly closing song "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" was played.
"dix" is a numerical word meaning 10.
Mana predicts "2010 will be a special year!", and this year Moi dix Mois is expected to expand with a flood of activity.
We are looking forward to spending a simulating New Year with them.

You know what it was that through you off? The bright pink colors, when you are used to looking for blues and blacks when it come to an Mdm concert. LOL.

Mana looks much better in these pics than the tiny little pic does (though I still like that one), he certainly does not look lost :)

That is cool you can see you hand, Mana looks like he is right up on you all. It also looks like he is smiling.

In the pic of him playing the guitar, there is a tear in his left shoulder, and...is that a black spaghetti strap? The shirt appears to be held together with gold safety pins.

The Drumming pic is very nice, he looks like he is having a ball (also a very small smile evident)
