is it just me, or has mana gotten YOUNGER over the years?

People will HATE me for saying this, but, GLB pictures are heavily edited... Especially to soften his face. They blur the edges of everything. They do it to Mana, who doesn't really need it, and leave other models in the GLB without it when they clearly need it!

Mana's face is soft anyway, but when you see him in the flesh he looks "normal" for his age and as quite a few Asian people do, he keeps his age well. Even though he has shit loads of make up on he doesn't look old in the shows.

We were joking with my room mate this night, that Mana looks younger and younger because he sold his soul to devil xDDD. I would like to look like Mana when i will be 35-40 years old...

YES! i agree the GLBs are heavily edited! especially 28... JEEZ!!! but i think even in candid shots... (the very few that i have seen) he is looking good. i think its the softer makeup, personally :D

Although, on top of all that, I will say I do believe he has gotten better at his make up. Technically his make up was good in Malice Mizer, but some how I just feel like it was kinda "everywhere" compared to now. I guess because it was so vivid compared to now. I like his more settle look with make up he has gained since Moi dix Mois.

Yeah, he's got better at doing his make up. Its not as theatrical as his Malice Mizer days. You could say he learned to do his "everyday make up" better XD

I don't know mana has always seemed kinda ageless to me. However recently he's been pulling all the classic things aging women to to stay young. Like the more natural/lighter make up, The shorter but fuller hair.

He also put on abit of weight so now he looks plumper and less gaunt as people sometimes get with age.

Hmmm, I wouldn't put it past him to have had bit a bit of botox here or there, alot of people who have the money do there days.

As well as all the photoshopping.

Completely agree with sweet decadence. He just knows how to stay beautiful when he's not 16 or 20. I love older Mana more then younger. It's because he's more natural. Heavy make up doesn't fit him now and he looks much older with it. Finally he doesn't use wigs a lot. His natural hair is also beautiful and i like Mana with shorter hair more. Mana gained weight, but he's still thin, or kinda normal but not skinny as he used to be in Mslice Mizer or in 2000-2003. I also agree abotu botox and photoshop

OK if I'm honest, the biggest thing to have made a difference to Mana's face is his weight gain XD
His face doesn't look as angular now as to what it did during the Mizer days. I must say I think it looks a lot better.
Also as Sarah said, he's learned to do his make up better.
The GLB does heavily edit pictures, just like our celeb magazines do here.
He doesn't look so edited in Madousho pics.
As for no make up at all.... Mana looks good with or without it.
Yes he's bound to look a little different, but don't we all when we take our make up off?
Can't be perfect all the time.

i always wondered what mana's eyes look like without makeup. obviously there are a few pix out there without lipstick or heavy heavy makeup, but i've never seen his full face.

Actually, in some of the newer GLBs they've been shopping a lot of the other models. There's one in particular that always looks kind of blurry...xD I think they give everyone a light airbrush now, except in vol. 28 where they went kind of nuts on poor Mana and blurred his wig into his face. x_x

It's very funny when Mana tries to hide his cheeks with hair. But they are nice and fit him xD. you guys are all silly. its not like he put on 50 lbs!!! the guy is maybe 20lbs bigger, tops, and its probably muscle because he actually does "manly" things at his concert like play a guitar and stage dive rather then just get mollested by gackt and ride scooters!! he is still a very skinny little man XD

Meilin, we just can't see what Mana wears under long skirts/dresses because they are LONG. Mana wears short skirts/dresses to and we really can see his legs. The pic iSynth has posted is a good example of this.

Mana LOOKS younger due to softer makeup and the invention of photoshop but he hasn't aged backwards which is basically what the poll is asking. Therefore, I feel that the poll was a terrible one and defies all logic. You people need to stop your fangirl/boying. He can't age backwards and he is not immortal/god.

i don't think mana has gain much weight since MM, i love Mana in MM and i love the most Mana in MdM, yeah Mana's legs in MM are awesome but if he gain weight that legs must look much better now, his legs are sexy even if he doesn't show them :smirk:, his arms must be stronger now that he strings faster in MdM songs, but his neck must be hurt by his headbanging...and i love Mana's cheeks too, i'd like to squeeze them if i could...
