“My X-Men, the President of the United States himself has approached me to form a sort of alliance with the government, a partnership if you will, where we will be called upon when those without the abilities we can offer them cannot achieve the desired result. At first, there was a list of terms given to me, to us, orders, if you will, of which I was quick to point out to the Department of Defense that the X-Men answer to no one now, nor will they ever answer to anyone in the future. My refusal to follow those terms was met with something I have not seen towards mutant kind in a very long time… understanding, compassion, an outright asking me what our terms would be, the first of which they were not the least bit surprised with, ‘Only if the majority of my X-Men agree this could be a step towards all of us living side by side in peace will I even consider your proposal’. This is why I am coming to you now. I am asking you all to consider what this could mean for our future, for the future of all mutant kind…”

Times are changing, the canine attack has brought mutants into an entirely new light. The above proposal is for all mutants living in the US… will YOU keep an open mind and possibly eventually agree to become a member of Agency X?

Canon or MUC: Canon

Give Credit Where Due: Hugh Jackman, as Logan’s statistics are based after the movie version, Wikipedia, Marvel Directory, uncannyxmen.net, & Ghostie, for helping me fill in the earlier parts of Wolverine’s history hugs.gif.

Play-By: Hugh Jackman (seriously, who else?! tongue.gif)

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Character Name: Logan ‘James’ Howlett (for now he just goes by Logan, when his memories of his earlier life starts to return, he will legally take on James as his middle name, and Howlett as his Surname).

Nickname/s: Wolvie, Wolfie {affectionate terms given to him by Jubilee for the most part, although others do use them.}

Current Alias: Wolverine

Previous Alias: Logan, Patch, Experiment X

Age: Although his age is essentially unknown, it’s been hinted at that he is well over 150 years old;; appearance wise at this stage - late 30’s, possibly early 40’s.

Height: 6'2"

Build: For all intents and purposes, Logan looks to be in his physical prime, holding himself with a confidence that belies the still somewhat very confused mind searching for the areas of his past he still can’t remember within. Years of self taught training has seen him gain a muscular, toned, and athletic physique that, despite his regenerative abilities, he must keep up a regular and strict fitness regime to maintain. At first glance, his mere looks attest to a strength he is beyond capable of showing, even exuding a somewhat ‘Don’t mess with me’ kind of feeling, at least at first glance.

To those that know him well however, they can see the something else within his gaze, a more softer side he very rarely lets others see, where the emptiness he feels, due to being unable to recall all the events leading up to and during the operation, as well as remembering absolutely nothing before it, will often see normally straight shoulders and back hunched forward, almost as if overwhelmed with the weight that he may never actually be able to fill in these key details of his life. Oftentimes, within his very demeanor, he will outwardly show it doesn’t bother him, when really, it’s absolutely killing him inside.

Hair: Dark Brown

Eyes: Brown

Current Occupation: Faculty, Xavier Institute. Motorbike mechanic and salesman at the largest Suzuki bike shop in the heart of Westchester, New York.

INSTITUTE INFORMATION

School Attending; Teacher at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters

Advisees: Chameleon, Exalted, Jubilee, Volcano

Squad Group: Haze, Advisor

Room Number: Boathouse

Classes Taught: Physical Education; Manual Arts; Self Defence/Survival/Obstacle Course Classes; Danger Room Sessions; and he is also the head of Security for the mansion.

Curriculum: N/A

Non-Curriculum: Wolverine is a skilled mechanic, especially when it comes to his greatest passion, motorbikes. He possesses various skills gained during the many wars he has fought in, the extensive training Colonel William Stryker put him through, and the many missions he went on while a member of Weapon X, all before the adamantium bonding process.

The extension of his training is currently unknown, and, often, a shock even to himself. Each and every time he shows skills in demolitions, vehicle repair, infiltration and assassination he immediately associates it with the parts of his life he still cannot remember.

Education: Unknown, although memories do hint that he came from an educated family, and after joining the army, he would have received at least a basic education, if not more depending on what he enrolled for.

Resources: Teachers Salary, savings account, he’s one of the Professor’s elite, so he is very well looked after.

X-GENE MUTATION

Regeneration: Logan possesses both natural and artificial alterations to his physiology, the main biological one being what is commonly referred to as a mutant healing factor, or Regeneration, and it is this ability to heal at a faster rate that was the key reason why he was later chosen and, in this version, forced to undergo the artificial process of bonding adamantium to his entire skeleton. Damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure heal at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human and, it makes complete sense that the speed to which the healing occurs varies depending on both the severity of, and the exact wound Logan has obtained. Minor wounds can heal within seconds, while deeper and more severe injuries can take anything from hours to days, depending, once again, on the circumstances.

An example of something minor would be the many claw marks, stabs, rakes, & bruises he has received from the times he has fought with the mutant known as Sabretooth, the Wolverine’s most hated of enemies. These wounds healed even while he was still fighting, as do the majority of the injuries he has sustained since becoming one of the X-Men. A more extreme case could recently be seen in his attempt to help out a almost primal acting Magma, keeping her focused on him while Charles got through the barriers around her mind. In her need to protect herself, the heat she was producing burned Logan’s skin and flesh to the point where adamantium showed beneath, healing over and over in a matter of seconds until Amara finally calmed down.

Whether a blessing or a curse, Logan’s ability to regenerate radically slows his aging process. Despite the fact it has been hinted at that he is well over 150 years old, he has the appearance of someone in his physical prime. Although he has yet to regain all his memories, it is his own healing factor, and the jumpstart Mana’s ability to heal others can now once again give him, thanks to him asking her to reopen the telempathic link between them, that will now enable him to remember bits and pieces far quicker then when, as per his request, the link was closed off between them.

In addition to the above, Wolverine’s main ability gives him a high resistance against drugs, diseases, toxins, and the fatigue poisons generated by bodily activity, his healing factor working to purge such from his system the moment they present themselves, and giving him greater endurance than an ordinary human.
Control: Automatic, not subject to Wolverine’s will.
Weaknesses: The healing factor did not come with a pain ‘Off’ switch. No matter how fast he heals, he will still experience the pain of whatever injury he sustains. Logan will still suffer the immediate affects of toxins and drugs, shown to become intoxicated if drinking enough alcohol, in one sitting, to counter his regenerative ability to milk it out of his system, as is also the case with drugs and poisons.

In theory, the only way to ever end the Wolverine’s life would be to decapitate him and remove his head from the vicinity of his body. It has also been proven that if some form of Carbonadium (an unstable metal less durable than adamantium yet still indestructible) were to be inserted and remained lodged within his body, it would only serve to dramatically slow his healing factor, not suppress it completely.

Retractable Bone Claws: Another of his natural mutations is that of three retractable bone claws within each forearm, consisting, not of keratin, as is common in the Animal kingdom, but of dense bone, capable of cutting through substances as durable as most metals, wood, and some varieties of stone.

Adamantium Encasing: During the artificial process Colonel William Stryker put him through, and because his bone claws are essentially an extension of his skeleton, Logan was soon equipped with a far stronger set of adamantium claws, fully encased over the bone, and making them roughly a foot long, the length of Wolverine's forearm. At his command, and very often on instinct, these claws will unsheathe, emerging from between each knuckle. He is capable of unsheathing all or any number of his claws at once, and they do not lie within his wrist whether sheathed or unsheathed, therefore giving him free movement like any normal person. However, he must keep his wrist straight at the moment his claws shoot from beneath his foreman to and through the openings in his hands. Because the adamantium weights his blows, the effectiveness of his offensive capabilities is increased.
Control: Wolverine's ability to slice completely through a substance depends upon both the amount of force he can exert and the thickness of the substance.
Weaknesses: There are no natural openings for the claws to move through when unsheathing them, the slits they do make healing over each and every time. Therefore, each time they emerge through his skin, Logan is subject to a momentary feeling of intense pain, which is thankfully taken over by his ability to regenerate. Logan cannot cut through adamantium itself, nor what is called Vibranium-Iron alloy, the only other substance known to be even more durable than adamantium.

Adamantium Skeleton: Thanks to Colonel William Stryker’s obsession with seeing if the artificial alloy, Adamantium could be successfully bonded to the skeleton of a regenerative type mutant, Logan, along with another he was unaware of, at least at first, was chosen and forced to undergo the painful operation, something Stryker didn’t even bother to put him under for.

Developed by Dr. Myron MacLean, the hardest metal then known to science, in its liquid form, Adamantium is malleable enough to be molded into whatever shape or form, and once set, it can be cut with a special subatomic particle beam; otherwise, to all intents and purposes, it is virtually indestructible. As a result of being laced with Adamantium, Wolverine's bones are therefore virtually unbreakable. The presence of Adamantium in his skeleton does not interfere with his bones' normal function of generating blood corpuscles.
Control: N/A
Weaknesses: Adamantium is an unnatural addition to Logan’s body, and as a metal, it comes along with a poisoning within his bloodstream that his regenerative abilities are forever fighting against. If they were ever to fail, this poisoning will quickly overpower and kill the Wolverine. In addition, having metal fused to his entire skeleton makes him exceptionally susceptible to electrical and magnetic attacks.

Increased Stamina, Durability & Strength: Due to his healing factor, certain aspects of Logan’s physical attributes are increased to superhuman levels. His stamina is such that he can exert himself for numerous hours, even after exposure to powerful tranquilizers, his agility and reflexes enhanced to levels that are far beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete. He can push his muscles beyond what a normal person would be able to endure, and this, coupled with the constant demand placed on his muscles by over one hundred pounds of adamantium, grants him some degree of superhuman strength. In addition, the presence of this metal also negates the natural structural limits of his bones, enabling him to life or move weight that would otherwise damage a human skeleton. He has been depicted lifting someone while his blades were still in them and throwing them across the room, managing to have the strength to push several average-size men off him at once, and breaking chains and weapons easily.
Control: Automatic
Weaknesses: Everyone, no matter their mutation has a limit, and when Logan reaches his he will feel his body protest, reminding him that despite the additions he is still merely a human mutant with the need to rest and even sleep, although visits to the land of dreaming are often far and in-between.

Heightened Senses: Wolverine's senses are superhumanly acute, and are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see, even in near total darkness, and hear sounds others can’t, with perfect clarity over distances far greater than any normal human. He can use his sense of smell to track someone, similar to that of a wolf or the animal he is codenamed after, even if that scent is eroded somewhat by natural factors. This sense also allows him to identify shapeshifting mutants despite other forms they may take. It is unknown whether Wolverine can see into the infrared and ultraviolet portions of the spectrum or, whether Wolverine's senses of taste and touch are equally as superhumanly acute. In part Wolverine's superhuman senses comprise a separate mutant power of his, but they are also due in part to his power of cellular regeneration. Thanks to the latter power, the cells of Wolverine's sense organs do not atrophy, or at least do not do so at the rate that an ordinary human's might.
Control: Automatic
Weaknesses: Sensory overload. Loud noises, for example, Banshee’s sonic scream, intense light, and many scents over-laden with one another can momentarily disorientate the Wolverine, leaving him unsure what he has heard and which way to go until he is able to regain his senses and concentrate once again.

Psionic Protection: Due to the high level psionic shields Professor Charles Xavier has put up around the minds of all of his most senior of X-Men, as well as everyone residing within the mansion that has allowed him to, Wolverine's mind is highly resistant to telepathic assault and probing. Logan’s mind also possesses what he refers to as "psychic scar tissue" created by so many traumatic events over the course of his life. It acts as a type of natural defense, even against a psychic as powerful as The White Queen.
Control: Automatic
Weaknesses: Even the most powerful of psionic shields can be broken therefore, the more intense and prolonged the attack, the better chance a psionic mutant has of getting through.

Other Weaknesses: Wolverine sometimes lapses into a "berserker rage" while in close combat. In this state he lashes out with the intensity and aggression of a mindless animal, often unable to distinguish friend from foe, and is more resistant to psionic attack. Despite his apparent ease at taking lives, and the fact much control has since been garnered over the inner animal within, he does not enjoy killing or giving in to his berserker rages. However, it has to be said, that even though he adheres to a strict code of firm conduct, personal honor and morality, there are times he has and will give into the Wolverine completely, and feel absolutely no regrets thereafter. A classic example of this would be when one of those closest to him is threatened, and he catches the person responsible in the act of doing so, and, of course, the insatiable and since achieved need to end Colonel William Stryker’s life with absolutely no mercy.

Additional Skills: Soon after losing his memory, and in an attempt to find himself, during his time in Japan and other countries, Wolverine became a master of virtually every form of martial arts and fighting, both armed and unarmed; as a samurai, he is especially skilled in the use of the katana. Wolverine has also received vast training as a ninja thanks to his mentor Ogun and trained for 5 years with Bando Suboro at the ninja village in Jasmine Falls. He can also use nearly all types of weapons, traditional or modern, long or close range. Wolverine is an extraordinary hand to hand combatant also possessing a wide knowledge of the body and pressure points. He is also an accomplished pilot and highly skilled in the field of espionage and covert operations.

Though seemingly brutish, Wolverine is actually highly intelligent. Due to his increased lifespan, he has traveled the world and amassed an intimate knowledge of foreign languages and cultures. He is fluent in English, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Spanish, and Lakota; he also has some knowledge of French, Thai, Vietnamese, and German.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE

Personality: The true essence of the Wolverine will always be a solitary loner, a gruff exterior, quick to act before thinking, and a man who really does have a problem with authority figures, especially those who seem to have a stick up their ass! Still, as he got to know the one person who, to this day, still at times gets under his nerves, Logan realized Scott Summers, just like anyone else, has his strong points, even if his way of doing things at times is far too straight arrow for the likes of the Wolverine. Ask anyone that knows him and they will tell you that, despite these things, Logan is a reliable and capable leader, finding himself the mentor and father figure to several younger women, especially Jubilee, Rogue, Alix, and more recently, Magma, therefore, no one can honestly say his time at the mansion has not changed him, and for the better.

When he was once again reunited with the woman that went through hell and back with him and, accepted that his life was no longer that of being alone, moving from place to place, these new members of his pack became far more to him than anything ever has, to the point now where he will willingly put himself in the firing line, sustaining injuries that would kill him in an instant if he did not have the ability to regenerate. Logan is and always will be the leader, the Alpha male, capable of a deep-set rage (of which only a few, for example, Jubilee, are capable of talking him down from), killing without remorse, and being who he is without ever feeling regrets for it. If someone gets on his nerves, he won’t hesitate to tell them. If they are acting too Emo for his liking, he will have no qualms in telling them to get the hell over it!

In contrast, there is a more gentle side to what most see, a side that has been brought out by the love of a certain Weather Goddess, and the unconditional, sweet innocence of a little girl, up until recently, he thought was about to become a permanent member of his more immediate family. Rosie Johannsen, AKA Whoosh, opened up a part of the Wolverine even he never thought he possessed, let alone would be able to tap into. Even though she is no longer in his life on a day to day basis, the Wolverine has chosen not to allow the court’s decision to have them return Rosie to her loving grandparents to push this new side of him back down into the depths of his persona once again.

Point of fact, he will now show affection to the woman he loves in public, he will genuinely smile more than just smirk or nod his head impassively, and he will allow others to see what once only Mana, Jubes, Marie, Ororo and Charles were ever privy to. Call him soft, call him weak, call it whatever one wants, all Logan knows is that he likes the man he is becoming, and if anyone ever tries to harm the lives of those he cares about the most, even those he barely knows yet are still technically members of his pack… as he once said to Spoor, “Yer death… it ain’t gonna come quickly, Bub!”

Demeanour: In control

Previous Affiliation: Formerly Weapon X, CIA.

HISTORY

NB: Italics = parts of his history he either still cannot remember, or is only just starting to.
Bold = filled in parts of his memories, where some of it he recalls, and some of it he as yet doesn’t.
Please be aware that bits have been taken from all movies, altered, changed, even completely left out so as to fit Wolverine in with the Mana4X2 universe.

Born over 150 years ago as James Howlett, the sickly son of a wealthy landowner by the name of John Howlett, James' life endured an abrupt change when the Howlett's estate hand, Thomas Logan, had to be dismissed, literally thrown off the grounds due to conduct that did not sit well with a family of such a high standing in the community. Despite this, Thomas’ son, Victor Creed continued to visit with and keep his friend company, until one evening, his father returned and killed John right in front of James’ mother. An enraged James struck back and, during the ensuing struggle, killed Thomas with two sets of bone claws that extended from in-between the knuckles on each hand, therefore ousting him as a mutant, and as he watched the life drain out of Thomas’ eyes, it was revealed that he was actually James’ real father, a claim that was later found out to be untrue. James fled the scene, Victor not too far behind, and after tackling him, Creed made, who he then thought to be his fleshly half brother promise they would look out for each other for the rest of their lives.

And, in essence, that is exactly what James did, the two spending the next century as soldiers, fighting in the American Civil War and both World Wars where they were able to release their pent up feral rages with no one being the wiser, as well as show both their exceptional mutant capabilities and the learned skills they’d picked up over the years. It was during the Vietnam War, and, after a superior officer found Sabretooth in the process of raping one of the local villagers, that Victor showed his true side and lost it completely, killing him, as well as continuing on his rampage brutally attacking others among their comrades as well. James hesitated none in stepping in to defend his, at this point, still thought-to-be half brother, and in doing so, ended up seeing the two of them face and thus "executed" by firing squad. Of course, the execution failed, thanks to the very formidable regeneration both feral mutants possess, and it was this that brought them to the attention of one Major William Stryker. He eventually approached the two, offering them membership in Team X, a group of mutants, thus far at that point only including expert marksman David North, AKA Maverick, and teleporter John Wraith, AKA Wraith. They joined the team, but, during a particular mission, James began to question Team X - their true intentions, and the seemingly total disregard for human life, turning his back on them and leaving.

It is unknown what James did in the six years that followed and exactly when he met and fell in love with his girlfriend, Silverfox, or changed his name to simply Logan, but, at this point, living in Canada with her, it was here that Colonel William Stryker finally located him, warning the already suspicious feral that someone was killing off members of the team he’d once been so much a part of. Logan, sensing something was not right about the entire thing, and actually being able to verify it by seeking out some of his ex teammates himself, did not fall for Stryker’s plan: to get him close enough to the Team X facility once again so that he could force him to be the first to undergo the fusing of adamantium to the skeleton of a mutant with strong regenerative capabilities. It isn’t very long after this that Sabretooth showed he was still very much alive, it finally revealed that the two of them were never half brothers. It was all a lie, this knowledge causing a deep-set hatred to broil within Creed, Logan having no choice but to fight him off, in the process losing three of his bone claws due to Sabretooth merciless action of curb stomping them with one booted foot.

Then unbeknownst to Logan, Stryker remained determined to make him a part of his adamantium fusing experiments, and in the time after his first attempt at tricking him and his second, the Colonel came across another mutant that would be a perfect candidate for the exact same experiment, but she was not yet at the right age that would make the Adamantium bonding process possible. He befriended the young teenager’s mother, Nicole Cavanagh, not realizing he would eventually come to have a crush on her. In the end, the Scientist in the Colonel won out, and he demanded the young mutant’s mother to make a choice… him or a ‘stinking mutant’. When Nicole chose her daughter, William left in a huff, buying his time; working on his plans for taking and forcing Wolverine; until the time was right to exact his revenge on Nicole, by taking Ramana, her daughter.

In 1996, Stryker made his second attempt to make Logan a part of his obsession, sending Sabretooth in to kidnap Silverfox and leave clues as a ways of luring him to the location of the new base. Unfortunately, Creed was not the right person for the job, for instead of bringing Logan’s girl back, he mutilated her, leaving her for dead, and when Logan found out, it was only because he was emotionally grief stricken that Colonel William Stryker’s attempt eventually succeeded, capturing him while he was holding his girlfriend’s bloodied corpse in his arms.
Due to being injected with the mind control serum William had by this point almost perfected, and kept in a state of willingness to follow through with whatever order the Colonel wanted, even while he growled and screamed and went into full berserker mode within his mind, the leader of the once Team X, now the head of a facility aptly named Weapon X, was able to refine just what he wanted Logan to be over the next two years, while he waited for the second target chosen to reach the right age where her bonding process would have a better chance of success, rather than instantly killing her.

In 1998, the young teenager turned 16, and was thus kidnapped and injected with the same serum, enduring six months of also molding her into an even more dangerous weapon, due to her additional abilities, including the power to heal others, and the very opposite to what that normally very helpful mutation could do. Because of this, Logan was able to pick up on her scent, and in the back of his mind, behind the controlling haze, know she was just like him, albeit not a feral mutant, but simply a fellow Regen, among other things, being forced to become something she simply wasn’t. The man, who’d since been dubbed ’The Wolverine’ by his now handler, Stryker himself, determined that if he ever broke free of what was happening to him, he would not only end the Colonel’s life as slowly and painfully as possible, but help to free this female he only knew by the name of Mana as well.

Interestingly, shortly following Mana’s kidnapping, it was Logan who was sent to capture the next target, this one a woman also, more closer to his age and sharing his powers in every way, right down to the three bone claws in each hand. A feral through and through, it took all of Logan’s natural and learned skills to succeed in capturing her for Weapon X, all the while wanting nothing more than join with her in tearing them apart. Dubbed Native, Logan was witness to the feral side of her becoming placid, tamed, as she too was injected with the control serum and made to do whatever it was Stryker ordered her to. Because of her untamed feral side, Native’s control serum ran out faster than Logan’s or Mana’s, and, aside from the initial seeing what Stryker did to Native, all three experiments were kept separate from each other.

As aforementioned, Logan never saw Mana, but he knew she was there. It was why, during a time when the serum wore off and he was able to trick the Colonel into thinking he was still under the influence long enough to be nearby to Native, so that he could make his move and proceed to get her the hell out of there, that he did not take the opportunity to run himself, for he refused to leave Mana behind. He’d resolved to help her before Native had come into the picture, and then had added the latter afterwards;; he was determined to follow through with the silent promise to free them ALL from the forced shackles they were now under.

Finally, after so much preparation, so much refinement, so much training, all in an effort to make them into the perfect weapons, both Wolverine and Mana were brought into separate med rooms in Stryker’s hidden, underground base at Alkali Lake; a door set between the two rooms so it was easy for Stryker to overlook both operations at the same time; being sure to be the one who injected the first lot of adamantium into both mutants. It wasn’t until this time, that Logan’s memories became so seared that even before he realized he wasn’t alone, Mana’s scream echoing in his mind, her pain melding with his, and there being absolutely nothing he could do to help her, and vice versa, his memories were slowly starting to fade (on a side note, it is unknown why Blade Girl’s memories stayed intact and Logan’s didn’t. However, it has since been surmised that her healing energy had something to do with it, suggested that it put a protective shielding around her mind). He would later learn that it was because of the pain, the sheer will of needing to reach out for the other they knew, behind that very same haze of control was there facing the equivalent thing, that a telempathic link was formed between them, when at that time, Mana normally always had to be in direct contact and healing another to establish it.

Whether the Colonel was naïve or cocky enough to believe the operations, and the attempt to erase Logan and Mana’s minds completely as an addition to the process was a success, or not, neither of his subjects will ever know, and again, it was later learned that the reason why both their memories remained intact, Logan’s, at least for a while, was because of the healing energy past on via the link, however, Mana was experiencing too much pain, too much anguish to stop Logan’s being erased completely as well as protect her own. One thing is for certain however, with the adamantium pushing all traces of the control serum from their bloodstreams, and remembering that they did not belong where they currently were, the moment the good doctor and his cohorts took their eyes off him, Logan let loose pent up rage, giving in to the animal within, with only one thing in mind, what he’d promised earlier when he’d first understood there was a female being controlled and conditioned just like him. He followed through with that promise, killing everyone in the room who happened to get in his way in his attempts to get to this other member of a pack, that until he had successfully freed Native, had consisted of there. Going for Stryker, he was kept busy long enough by others trying to subdue him, to give the Colonel the chance to flee the base the moment he knew what was happening.

He sensed her with all his heart and mind, turning to see the young girl standing at the divider door, blood dripping from the same claws he himself now wielded. Without a single spoken word to each other, the two fled the base together, disappearing into the woods beyond; Logan realizing it had been this young mutant that had somehow helped him to forever break free of Stryker’s control.

They stayed together within the surrounding forest, avoiding the search parties that were sent out to find them, until Mana sensed Logan was slowly losing all his memories; realizing he would soon forget who she was entirely too. She shared this knowledge with him, deciding it would be too hard for both of them to suddenly have him not knowing who she was, telling him they should go their separate ways before it happened. Reluctantly, Logan agreed, and a short time later, he woke up one morning to find her gone; the very morning after they had spent their first, intimate moment together; a moment that resulted in the formation of a bond that would never once be broken. Only, at the time, neither of them knew that yet.

Logan never saw the one he’d come to know as Ramana ‘Mana’ Cavanagh during their short time together in the forest, a name he would not recall until shortly after November 3rd, 2003, when, while fighting for the money he knew he would always be able to claim within a fighting cage that was part of the entertainment of a particular pub located in Anchorage Alaska, for some reason, once defeating his then opponent, and while taking a drink of the bottle in his hand, he was drawn to a particular figure in the distance, someone who was in the process of leaving. Yet, this young woman ended up looking back, just one last time, and somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew he knew her, but how, when, where, why? It was merely the start of the link between them opening once again, and therefore, allowing that same healing energy Mana had unwittingly used during the operation they’d experienced together to begin the slow process of healing and piecing his memories back together.

He wanted to go after her, wanted to force her to tell him why she was so damn familiar, however, he couldn’t at the time, so imagine his surprise when she was sitting at the bar after the fights had ended, there when the knife one of his opponents pulled upon him was suddenly sent flying across the bar as if by its own will alone. Logan watched, as the bar tender, who seemed to know her pretty well, apologized for the interruption and this young… Mana… again, the familiarity at overhearing that name hit him like ten ton truck, and as he’d followed her exit with his eyes, he found himself rather disappointed, a feeling he most certainly wasn’t used to.

Whether it was meant to be, more than likely it was just because they both had the same idea that the back roads were a better way to travel, the Wolverine was soon picking up on her scent once again, raising an eyebrow at just how fitting this seemed to be; he the one who pulled up to help the healer when her bike broke down on the morning of November 4th. After parting ways again, it took only the one night for his dreams to siphon through the long forgotten memories still somewhere within his mind to put a memory to her familiar scent, recognition to her name, and he woke up, yelling her codename into the darkness of his van, another resolve made, to find her, and never let her out of his sight again!

It took Logan awhile to track her down, almost five days later, on the night of November 9th, he found her, quietly entering her hotel room and revealing himself only when she herself spoke that she indeed knew he was there. The Wolverine and Blade Girl (a codename she’d given herself shortly after leaving her family behind and hitting the road), were once again reunited, and it was during the short time that Logan was able to learn exactly how he came to remember her so quickly, and why he had been able to locate her equally as fast as well. Even with his own heightened senses, he’d felt something else had been drawing him to her location.

It was early the next morning that Logan awoke to find a note left from the woman, a link to a past he had not been able to even begin to remember for a long time, explaining that she had unfinished business she had to do alone. She assured him in that note that she would find him again, but for now… she had to go, and in that moment, he’d felt so strongly just how much the two of them really had in common. Of course, if Mana had known him as much as it seemed she did, she would have known nothing would’ve stopped the feral mutant from picking up on her trail, and following, from a distance, at least for now.

It was on Saturday, November 15th, 2003, that the Wolverine was so suddenly reminded just how much he hated telepathy and empathy, thankful that he was in the privacy of another back road when her emotions and pain, caused by the unforeseen change in her powers while passing over Brooklyn Bridge that day, were shared with him. He was brought to his knees beside his van, unable to move, unable to think, unable to react, until the worst of it had past and he was able to get back on the road again, this time determined to find her once again. The Wolverine had to stop intermittently on his travels, every so often again overcome with experiencing whatever it was the healer was going through, and it was the next day after the initial becoming aware something was wrong, that he was tracked down by four people claiming to be some sort of superhero group known as the X-Men. At first, and like always, he was skeptical, suspicious, not wanting anything to do with them, until they mentioned the school they lived in was where Blade Girl was currently residing.

Therefore, on November 19th, 2003, almost four days after her powers had decided to change without warning, Logan was there to greet her when she woke up, and from then on, the two were nigh near inseparable, Logan also present when she was reunited with her foster brother, Pyro. Towards the end of November, Magneto’s obsession with making Blade Girl a member of his Brotherhood, and at the behest of another who was also very interested in Blade Girl, Erik sent his henchman to kidnap Rogue, Iceman and Pyro, knowing Mana would feel their pain via the telempathic links she shares with them and hesitate none in heading to rescue them. Wolverine too hesitated none in accompanying her, the both of them succeeding in thwarting the Master of Magnetism’s plans. Magneto and the rest of his Brotherhood disappeared to no doubt try again another day, while the one who had urged him to do this pursued the healer after she left, later revealing himself to be Metlinque, however not succeeding in capturing her for himself thanks to the help of Logan and the now conscious three they had rescued, as well as the healer having already contacted the other X-Men.

Mid December saw Jean and Warren return from Boston unable to find the mutant Charles had picked up via Cerebro, someone who had been witness to the mysterious Denver kidnappings;; someone the Professor and the rest of the X-Men not only wished to speak to, but to offer a place at the mansion too. Mana suggested speaking with him via the telempathic link she shared with Jean, while the telepath was hooked up to Cerebro. Charles, and a very reluctant Logan, agreed, however backed up the Professor’s warning the both of them should back out the moment they felt any possible side effects occurring. Thankfully this didn’t happen, and after much reassurance, some of which included informing the fuzzy blue elf she too was teleporter, he agreed to meet Mana, and Mana alone… at least at first.

Heading to Boston, it wasn’t long before he accepted the invite back to Xavier’s, Wolverine among those the blue fuzzy elf met that day. Back at the mansion, and thanks to the Professor’s telepathy, and permission from Kurt to search his mind, the license plate of the van used in the kidnappings was found out. It would take time to find out who the vehicle belonged to, in the meantime, Logan fell back into his usual routine of Head of Security, and teaching the Physical Education, Manual Arts classes he’d picked up, as well as helping with the Self Defence/Survival/Obstacle Course Classes and Danger Room Sessions.

Soon, the Denver kidnappings were brought to the fore once again when Ramana received a phone call from her mother saying her newest foster baby had been kidnapped right out of her room! Heading to Colorado Springs, the X-Men began an investigation, shocked to learn the base for where the mutants were being taken was only just down the road, the entrance well hidden within a rock face in the dried up creek bed. How in the world was it possible that this was going on and Nicky herself had not noticed? The fact this wasn’t the only entrance may have had a lot to do with it, since the creek bed stretched for miles, and what a perfect place to hide a facility… out in the middle of nowhere, down in the depths of the middle of nowhere again, and well camouflaged when the creek bed flooded as well.

Using her invisibility shield, back then able to incorporate her phasing powers into it as well, Logan waited while Mana infiltrated the base, finding out all she could about the security before it was time for the X-Men to go in together, of which they soon did, hijacking one of the vans and the people in it, easily gaining access. Splitting up into teams, the X-Men successfully made their way inside, soon finding and releasing the captured mutants, yet, unable to learn the identities of the true masterminds behind the entire thing (later it would be learned it was Christian & Magenta LeMasia’s first attempts at learning what exactly they’d need to make their dreams of gathering together many, many mutant trophies a reality).

It was here that Mana was reminded just how cruel humans can really be to mutants, testing powers and abilities among the things going on in this facility, since the LeMasias couldn’t be there to make sure their one order, that the mutants were not to be harmed, was obeyed all the time. A mutant known only as Kyle, and later codenamed Catwings was released from the prison that day, forever and always grateful to the X-Men for rescuing him.

Mortally wounded, by the pipe that‘d cut right through his stomach when a part of the facility had fallen on him, if he didn’t happen to be a mutant with the ability to regenerate he may very well not have survived that day. It took Logan at least two days to recover, the X-Men, plus 1, returning to the mansion on December 28th, 2003.

The beginning of 2004 came without any further major hassles, new ones turned up at the school, Logan and Mana became Senior X-Men to the fullest degree, already proving beyond a doubt they were well suited for life at the mansion, and the protection of all those within. Friends spending time together, training, Wolverine trusted to make changes to the security system, it was all happening for them, the two ex Weapon X experiments now finding a place to remain and grow within.

What is it with humans and their damn mutant experimentation facilities, because again, around May of 2004, the X-Men were sent to Australia to take down yet another base, the only connection to the one in Colorado Springs, Dr Wayne Kensington, who had been in jail for many months now. If only they’d been on the Sunshine Coast, with its beautiful beaches and scenery, extensive shopping facilities and other attractions to actually be tourists. Being attacked in the Sunshine Plaza wasn’t much fun, the team knowing they were getting close since they had tried to eradicate them in such a public place.

The name of the man behind this particular facility was found out before they’d even left the States, Blade Girl visiting Kensington in prison and convincing him to give him up. A search of Dr Samuel Vitalin’s home found some old electricity bills for an old warehouse located on Bribie Island, but before they could leave to consolidate this information, they were attacked once again. Managing to allude both their attackers, and the ones shadowing in their vehicles, the X-Men headed out to Bribie Island, intent on shutting this facility down for good as well.

Oh, success did come, but not after the initial, and very difficult aspect of actually gaining access to the facility, let alone helping to free the mutants within once they were inside. Dr Vitalin seemed to be a bit paranoid, setting up pressure trigger points all around the front entrance, along with guns sensor triggered, so it was Mana and Kurt’s job, as the teleporters, to get their team mates, including Logan himself, over the dangers. Eventually, and this time, with the military's help, this facility was indeed taken out of business, and all those kidnapped returned from whence they had come from.

Once more, at least for a while, everything was normal, classes, training, greeting new ones, getting to know friends already even better, basically, the norm… until one September afternoon, someone turned up at Xavier’s that had Logan’s suspicions skyrocketing, Remy Etienne LeBeau, AKA Gambit, begging for help from the woman he remembered only as a young girl and leaving the Wolverine feeling the guy could not be trusted. Apparently he too was being hunted by Colonel William Stryker, the man wanting him for the same reason he wanted so many other mutants, to use them for a means to his own end, to experiment on them, to do all sorts of things to make them apart of his Weapon X program. Although skeptical, Logan, along with the other X-Men agreed to allow him to stay, a few days later seeing a helicopter land on the Xavier mansion grounds, Lady Deathstrike and a platoon of soldiers exiting. Wolverine, Blade Girl, Shadowcat, Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler, many of the other mutants moved to intercept them, however, while Mana was busy using her healing abilities to seep the mind control drug from Lady D’s system, Gambit gave himself up to avoid anyone else getting hurt. However, his friends weren’t about to let him go that easily, pursuing in the Xjet, and succeeding in not only bringing the helicopter down, but sending a message to Stryker that Gambit was now off limits to him, and Lady Deathstrike was no longer his either.

Along with Mana, Wolverine was relieved, when Yuriko, although not really sure where she fit into the scheme of things, stayed at Xavier’s, apparently out of loyalty to the woman that freed her from a life of slavery behind a veil of control she had been able to see through, yet had not been able to fight. Logan knew that feeling, and now had two people in his life that had experienced the same things he had, the mind control, the forced training, the altering of their very bodies to further make them into the perfect weapons.

Because of her obvious abilities and now learning where she was staying, Stryker set his eyes on Blade Girl once again, having already put into action the altering of another mutant he’d had in his possession for many years now to counter her every power. He figured the best way to capture her was to have her come to him, so he made an attempt to capture Gambit and Lady D, then even threatened her mother, Nicky, before Mana, fed up, begged Charles to allow the X-Men to find, infiltrate and bring down the Weapon X program once and for all, Logan backing her up all the way.

The Professor agreed, knowing that answers could be found for both of them in the process, and that other mutants, some already victims and prisoners, and others will be spared such experimentation in the future. On November 3rd, 2004, an entire year since Wolverine and Blade Girl found each other again, the two of them, along with their team mates, Angel, who had been back at Xavier’s and dating Mana for a while now, accompanying them on this one. Once inside, they worked to free the mutants already under Stryker’s control, freeing those that weren’t, including Beast, forced/blackmailed into using his experience in genetics into helping Stryker with his experiments.

Unknown to Mana, least of all Logan himself, the mutant known as Nemesis was waiting in the shadows when she moved to confront the Colonel alone. Overpowering her, and steeling her powers, it is only due to both Angel’s and his own assistance that Stryker did not succeed in whisking her off to another hidden base somewhere. While Angel watched over her and the mutant Nemesis, who was soon taken back and placed within the prison level of the Xavier mansion, the Wolverine, in a feral rage, moved to end the life of Colonel William Stryker once and for all!

Logan’s blessing upon them helped Blade Girl finally fall head over heals for Angel and move on from the ’What if’s?’ fully accepting that the relationship she did have with Wolverine, although very close and extremely hard to fully explain, was not one of anything more than a strong bond of friendship. Unfortunately, it was soon after the events of Alkali Lake that, on a business trip to Tokyo Angel’s plane went down, Mana feeling their telempathic link severed, Jean and Xavier feeling his presence disappear and Logan experiencing it all via the link he still shared with the woman he’d forever hold a place for in his heart.

Blade Girl lost the love of her life, and at first unbeknownst to anyone in the mansion, including Logan (and it is surmised the reason for this was, while Nemesis was contained in the Prison Sub Level, and because he also held a link with the healer, forced open during the draining of her powers, Nemesis was somehow able to block all other links to Mana while he subtly achieved his goal), during her grieving process, he was able to use this heartbreaking situation to gain control of Jean, via the telempathic link she held with Mana, causing both women to act far from their true natures. That link was eventually found out about and broken by Gambit and Rogue, but not before Mana had forced her way into the Cajun’s mind, seeing everything that’d happened in his past, learning his deepest and darkest secrets in the process, something of which she also shared with Rogue at the time, causing a series of events to follow that saw Remy having to disappear for awhile, somewhat fearing for his own safety.

Mana may not have been there, on January 1st, 2005, when Nemesis’ powers took on another leap, gaining the ability to turn himself into pure energy and escape into the mansion’s electrical system, but the Wolverine most certainly was. Aiding in saving Storm and Phoenix from the 'Danger Room session from hell', the software under the full control of Nemesis himself, and along with the Professor, taking them to the Medlab, where he is soon overcome by the strong gas the infiltrator began pumping into the mansion. Coming out of it the next morning, fortunately for everyone, the object of Nemesis’ obsession returned to the mansion, Mana soon able to use the link she shared with the man that was taken and altered just for her to show him the truth, revealing to him his true name of Nathaniel Tobias Klo'rel. Nemesis soon gave back all he had taken from her, only letting the link they shared remain, before he disappeared, heading off to find his family, and the answers to the many more questions he still had.

It was the very next day, and due to the unrequited feelings that had once again been stirred during the comforting of each other after Angel’s death, that Wolverine told Mana he believed strongly it would never work between them during a much needed conversation between him and Ororo that Mana ended up turning up half way through, The choice he had been trying to make was now decided, and in that same moment, Logan and the Weather Witches’ on again, off again, unsure if another would continue to get in the way relationship started once again and, to this day, is simply getting stronger and stronger, as he learns to fully open up and trust another woman once again.

On Wednesday March 2nd, a couple months after the Nemesis infiltration, the entire school was privately invited along to the opening of a new museum on the outskirts of the northern side of New York. Soon, it was clear others had been invited, and the true purpose of this museum was shown, the Brotherhood and the X-Men, faculty and students, among others, working side by side, in the different exhibits they were confined to, fighting for their lives against a museum that’d just locked down and come alive. Wolverine found himself locked in the Atrium, a metal covering having closed over the open roof, with Scott, Storm, Phoenix, & Psylocke. Soon, it became evident that Wolverine was one of the targets.

Sliced through by a blade wielding, cloaked droid over and over, Logan was powerless to stop the pincers that dragged him down, then up into the mutant holding facility within a ship very much similar to the one seen in the movie called Alien Vs Predator; a ship that soon lifted off, tearing from its moorings on top of the museum. While aboard, Logan was able to get out of his cage, only to be dumped back in it pretty quickly, jolts of electricity flowing through his adamantium laced body.

Somehow, the ship was brought down, and Logan learned later that it was in part due to the sabotage of one of those who’d been working for the people behind it, Psyche. To this day he is grateful to her, for had she not intervened there may have been the possibility that they would not have been rescued from that flying prison so swiftly.

Unfortunately none of them were given a chance to really breathe, as it wasn’t long after this event was over that Apocalypse sensed the potential in Mana’s then thought-to-be sister, Prism, playing on her naivety and making her one of his Horsemen, Death, resulting in her killing her other siblings, Restorer, Hue and Shade, and a confrontation between Mana and Ashleigh that saw two key things happen - not only did Mana find out Prism was actually her daughter, but the emotions of the entire fight as well as the grief felt for the loss of her other siblings, triggered the final changes in Mana’s evolutionary chain.

It wasn’t until a man he saw as a strong and close member of his pack, Thomas Fireheart, AKA Puma, someone who had been there and witnessed so many of these events occur, announced he was falling in love with Mana that she ever thought she’d be able to love again. Thomas was both patient and understanding with her, and it was when Wolverine finally made the decision to love Ororo Munroe unconditionally, and Gambit finally realized that he was in love with Shadowcat, that Mana accepted it was truly time to move on, her relationship with Thomas, although seeing several strains try to tear it apart already, merely growing stronger and stronger as each day goes on. It is something that warms the Wolverine’s heart, seeing his good friend finally able to move on, and happy once again.

Logan was not directly involved when Pyro finally upped and left Xavier’s for the Brotherhood, but he was witness to some of the events leading up to it, not the least bit surprised when it eventually did happen, and there to comfort Mana and those few others the fire bug had been very close to. Later on, he would learn of the events surrounding just how exactly John Allerdyce was brought back to his senses, returning to the mansion, and doing all he could to redeem himself and come to be one of the X-Men yet again. Of course, Logan watched him like a hawk, and if he put one step wrong, was quick to pull him up on it, and warn him that if there were any incidences like the ones before he left, there would be hell to pay!

The life of an X-Man never ends, as on Tuesday, August 31st right through to Thursday, September 2nd, 2005, the Xavier mansion, along with every other mutant faction or individually known mutant, was attacked by human-sized Sentinels, some with the ability to transform into various machines, in the LeMasias’ second attempt to capture their Mutant Trophies. It was then that the mutant formerly known as Nemesis, now going by the code name of Dark Voltage, was heard from again, only this time, he wasn’t really working for the bad guys, simply there to thwart their attempts to keep those they managed to capture prisoners for long, as well as take down the plans of the LeMasias for good {you can find the full Summary for these events HERE}.

The next major event in Logan’s life was actually one he was happy to be a apart of, there to witness the marriage of both Pyro and Swann on Sunday, October 16th, 2005 in a wedding ceremony that was simply beautiful, and it was at their reception that little Rosie Johannsen, AKA Whoosh, was discovered in one of the delivery crates, something that did not interfere with the special day, but merely added that extra special element to it all. That little girl very soon became a large part of Logan’s life, the Wolverine, along with Ororo, looking into adopting the young child, and the more time he spent with her, the more the softer side this feral mutant is capable of showing was brought to the fore.

It was the very next day, that Logan aided in the infiltration of the Hellfire Club’s underground Mutant Brawl scene, helping to bring it to a point where SHEILD could move in and shut it down for good. On that same day, Mana learnt that she was, in part, X-23’s mother, and was quick to inform Logan of this fact, the Wolverine rather shocked, yet, when he thought about it, realizing how much sense that really made. Blade Girl and him had been Stryker’s first and most prized experiments, it went without saying that if he couldn’t have them, he would try to replicate them in someone else.

On the night Man’s Best Friend turned on everyone in New York City, Logan was out on a date at the movies, with the woman he was now deeply in love with and the little girl that had made them into an instant little family. The moment the Wolverine smelt and heard the commotion up ahead, dogs streaming in through the front doors, he handed Rosie to Storm and went to confront them, soon aided by fellow X-Men who happened to be at the movies as well, or in the vicinity, and other strangers, including Alix, whom he was later to learn was an experiment of Weapon X’s psionic division and had actually been sent there to capture little Rosie. Eventually reunited with others, including Blade Girl and Puma; Wolverine and Storm, along with the others at the cinema at the time, helped to protect the nearest evacuation site, getting people safely to the helicopters and when the X-Jet landed, pouring in the backup they so desperately needed, and another much bigger form of rescue aircraft, Logan stopped any further dogs from making it onto the Blackbird, and began helping others on board it as well once the aircraft was cleared of the initial canine ambush.

It was soon after the way to stop the canines was found out, and the X-Men in the field returned to the mansion. Logan stayed behind. He had made Alix a promise. One he was intending to keep, picking up on her trail and, when eventually finding her, convince the powerful young telepathic ‘doll’ to return to the mansion with him, where he would protect her with his very life. All the while, in the back of his mind, he wondered if he would ever see his daughter again, whether the man Cable, her boyfriend, who seemed to be bent on keeping her away from them, would ever allow her to return to the mansion. Fortunately, on January 1st, 2006, Nathan Summers came to his senses, and realized he could not help her in the way only the Professor could, therefore bringing her back to the institute, but leaving himself soon after.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, 7th January, 2006, after a time period of Blade Girl helping him without the Wolverine's knowledge, the whole time Andrew Graves working up a plan to maker her his, Spoor succeeded in capturing his prey, rendering her unconscious and fighting for her life while he whisked her away to the specially made room hidden underneath an old abandoned church. The moment they’d realized she was missing, thanks to Tepy informing them about losing Mana's heat signature and vaguely seeing something happen to her via the machines she can speak and connect to, along with Dark Voltage's witnessing of someone taking Mana via her very own eyes thanks to the strong link he shares with her, that Wolverine went to the exact spot she had been taken from, and an extensive search happened from there. It was thanks highly to the help of one of Logan’s so-called good mates and once fellow team member of the then known Team X, Maverick, someone he can’t remember properly thus far, that the small team was able to succeed in finding her, Rogue joining them after they had already reached the church, quite annoyed she wasn't informed of what was going on with her best friend already.

They burst in right when Andrew was about to force himself upon her, and in the events that followed, the feral who dared to even think of taking Mana, yet attempt to, succeed, and then try to violate her, was rendered nothing more than a bloodied, mutilated and very soon burnt up corpse by the ones who not only cared about her intensely, but had no qualms in rendering their own sort of violent justice, Wolverine among the four others that ended Spoor’s life, while Knockout, Rogue and Tepy helped the healer out of there, KO teleporting Mana outside where she could partake of a much needed natural storm cell recharge.

Logan understood Mana’s need to get away from the mansion, thinking about her the whole time, and relieved when she finally did return, both because he needed to tell her how stupid she had been, but also how thankful he was to see her back and well and truly on the road to recovery, a strength witnessed in her eyes that he could very much relate to. Her return coincided with the Assembly held on Thursday Afternoon, February 2nd, 2006, the one that announced the opening of the new dorms, and the offer, direct from the President himself, of forming an elite team that would be known publicly as Agency X, since the world’s view on mutants was slowly starting to change, and seemingly for a better future, or so it seems. How long that will last remains to be seen. Following the assembly, and after finally getting to voice what he’d wanted to since helping to save her from Spoor’s clutches and, realizing X-23 herself was at the door and had been eavesdropping on their conversation, Mana was finally able to not only reveal she was in part Laura's mother, but that both Logan and herself were there for her, Logan apologizing for his seeming indifference shown before.

Now, aside from finding himself desperately wanting to wipe the emo out of Wither, get to know his daughter better, and dealing with the court’s decision to return little Whoosh back to her grandparents, something Logan has been able to move on from only because he knows they love her dearly, and not just because one of them is a mutant herself, it is also coming to light, as of Wednesday Morning, February 8th, 2006, that mutants are once again being kidnapped, and the X-Men can only surmise as to the exact reasons why, Logan among the many who believe it is to yet again begin some sort of experimentation upon them.

For the Wolverine, when he finds the ones responsible, again there will be no mercy shown, for among the taken is a young woman he had helped out of her animalistic state back in Mid October, Amara ‘Mara’ Aquilla, AKA Magma, now very much under the watchful eye and protection of the Canadian born feral. He had promised her he would never let anything happen to her again, least of all being kidnapped by the very people that’d given her to an experimentation facility in the earlier years of her life… her parents…

SAMPLE ROLE PLAY

If Logan wasn’t comfortable once again leaning back against the wall near the security monitor when this Captain Lazarus (and why the hell was that name so damn familiar?) just made himself at home, the feral mutant would’ve moved over and lifted him out of the chair he so blatantly just took without asking. The Professor had motioned for him to tell them what he knew, not sit down and make himself comfortable;; the chairs were for the real X-Men, not some ex SHIELD Agent turned renegade and Private Detective. Oh, and that was just the icing on the cake, announcing it with so much obvious joviality, when really, such information was totally frivolous under the circumstances. He was obviously proud of it, the man’s scent giving that away if his smile accompanying the declaration hadn’t already.

Where he decided to suck up his irritation, merely allow it to be seen by all assembled, including the man who, despite Logan having an inclination he knew him from the part of his past he couldn’t remember, really didn’t understand the person he’d become today, a certain mutant with the ability to tap into a dimension that could not be visited for any longer than it took her to teleport through it, stood up and made her annoyance clearly known. This, of course, brought a smirk from the Wolverine and a nod of much acquiescence, well, in regards to the files possibly being fake, not the friends with Nick Fury part, for personally, the Canadian born mutant hated the arrogant fool. He would have reiterated the same question too, had Lazarus not been quick to speak up in both his defense and the obvious sarcasm beneath the questions posed to the young Darkstar.

For the second time in less than a minute, Logan opened his mouth to speak with a tone literally dripping with his displeasure towards the attitude of this particular past acquaintance of Xavier’s, only to shut it very quickly when the warning about Nick Fury’s true nature spilled forth. Fancy that, seemed the two of them had at least something in common, for Logan felt the exact same way about SHIELD, which was why, had they anything, even the minutest, tiniest amount, to do with the President’s recent Agency X proposal, his answer to the X-Men agreeing to become a part of it would be a resounding, “Hell no!” The smirk reappeared on the Senior X-Man’s face, gaze not for one moment leaving Lazarus, irritation quelled, at least for the moment.

Until the verbal alarms began sounding throughout what was no doubt the entire mansion, and the security monitor brought up an image of someone having the gall to not only enter via the Professor’s office, but also place himself behind their mentor’s desk, in his chair! “Lensherr!” Logan hissed. “What tha hell is he doin here?” the Regen moved to head out of the War Room and stalk straight up to confront the Master of Magnetism himself, Mana, Remy, and no doubt a few others quite ready to move in to flank him as well, however…

“Calm yourself, Logan,” Charles spoke up, giving a nod towards Lazarus. “Begin, however, if my old friend does not wish to join us down here,“ and Xavier knew there would be some protests as to allowing one of their most well known enemies, yet no longer the leader of a now disbanded Brotherhood into the very heart of the X-Men’s home. “I may need to excuse myself to head up and speak with him personally, unless of course someone else does beat me to it,” a look of another kind of concern came over his face, since most of those still above ground were all more or less Junior X-Men or otherwise unrelated residents.

Pushing this from his mind, Charles closed his eyes, issuing forth a telepathic message not heard directly within Erik’s mind, no, for it was clear from the image on the screen he was wearing the helmet that protected him from such an invasion. Instead, the words reverberated around him, *Ah, Erik, I was wondering when you would begin to notice something is clearly wrong. Do please join us in the War Room, I am sure you remember where it is, and that you have some information yourself, perhaps you will even be able to help verify the suspicions regarding the disappearance of a certain and once very loyal Brotherhood member…* of course Xavier was speaking about Sabretooth, not entirely sure how much contact the two had now there was no obvious base location anymore.

A hand moved to place itself upon the shoulder of one of the Junior X-Men in the room, in fact, a very new addition to the entire aspect of what the school offered their students behind the scenes. “Yer’ll get yer chance, kid,” he assured Tatiana, his own hackles stilled raised thanks to the mere presence of Magneto, let alone him about to be right there in the same room as them all. “An’, yer ain’t tha only one that wants to rip tha guy a new one,” he added, and he made a point of turning a slightly narrowed, dark brown gaze towards the so-called Private Detective within the room.
