The trip from New York had been uneventful. Still, as he got closer to the school, he felt excitement grow in him. This was more than just going to a new school, it was start of a new adventure.

The taxi that had been hired to take him to the school had dropped him off at the front gate. He pushed the intercom button and said, "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."

There are a pause at the other end, and then a voice asked, "Mr. Tremain?"

"Please," Frank replied. "Mr. Tremain is my father. Call me Frank."

There was another exasperated pause, and then the intercom replied, "Please enter," as the gate opened to admit him.

"Ooh, ominous," Frank said as picked up his bags and began to walk to the main school building. As he walked, he noticed a few cameras on the grounds. ~I guess what I heard about New York schools is true.~

Frank entered the foyer. He looked around and let out an impressed whistle. This school was a whole lot fancier than what he expected a school to be. He dropped his bags to the floor and started to look around as he waited.

After the walk yesterday she had gotten Mana to heal her wound, this seemed to lift her own spirits, soon no longer all that depressed, in fact she was happier, though she was feeling guilty from having to deny Kyle’s dance invitation the other day. It had been nearly night time when the Sachu finally went to bed. And she had gotten a lot of sleep, something that the wound was partly keeping her from. ~Your super cool, Mana~ were the thoughts that had been on her mind before falling asleep. And soon it became the next day, Sachu decided she wanted to just stroll around simply take it easy, she checked in on the professor seeing if he needed anything. This was where she learned about the new student arriving, the professor asked her, HER to take care of things, things such as greeting, taking him on a tour before settling him in his new room. She also was told that he was a guy. But that was ok, thanks to Dark Voltage; she was able to get over that fear, the fear that crippled her before meaning.

A couple minutes later saw her running towards the Foyer, once she arrived there, she saw him, noticing his features, taking him in, before she arrived. She had heard how he responded when the people of the gate asked if he was the new one, this let her know he'd much rather be called Frank then Mr. Tremain.

Once she got to him, she was breathless a moment before speaking, ”Mr. Frank Tremain, the new student?’ she asked to confirm. “My name is Sachura Weeyico, also called Heatblast,“ she stated, she wondered if he knew about her family’s flower shop, but this she didn’t ask. ”Before I give you the tour, and get ya settled into your room, please allow me to say welcome to Xavier institute for the Gifted, the teachers here work almost round the clock to make sure that the students are able to control their powers, as well as to make this place, a sort of home, or sanctuary,” she stated, already feeling like an important staff person, even though she herself was just fourteen.

“I must apologize though, currently the professor is quite busy with Professor-like duties as well as making sure things ran smoothly. He also was the one who told me you were coming and to make sure that I can give you the tour and get you settled,” with that, she would give him the tour, telling him about the places, as well giving info about the school, that the professor himself actually built it. She also made sure to tell him about the rules of the school, apologizing for leaving the rules last. Soon she would be leading him to where his room was.

“Do you have any sort of questions?’ she asked the taller male. Not seeming to notice at all that the male seemed more obese.

Frank looked over at the person who was coming to greet him. He was a little shocked to see that it was someone who appeared to be younger than him. She was about fourteen years old, with green hair and a little on the big boned side, although not as much as he was. "Wow, they have some young teachers here," Frank remarked. "Anyways, I don't really like being called 'mister'. It makes me feel old. I'm fine with just Frank."

He extended his hand to her. "And thank you for the welcome. It's OK that the professor wasn't here to greet me in person, especially since the person he sent in his place is so cute," He gave her a wink. "So, how is this school different from a regular school. I mean, other than the students all having hinky DNA. How much time does classes take up? And are there any that aren't part of normal schooling?"

He almost asked her a question about the carpet matching the drapes, but stopped before the words could leave his mouth. She looked a little nervous and he thought that maybe, just this once, he would be better off not saying the first thing that popped into his head.

Sachu caught her breath then spoke, “Actually, I am a student, not really a teacher... though it could be fun, and my apologies, Frank I can understand in a way...’ she said, then thought ~He seems rather nice... The professor can sense this I bet... and thought that I should talk to more men... but this guy is much bigger than me... taller also maybe he is older.. He’s also obese... but I must remember not to say anything... the professor even mom wouldn’t like it...~ she then blushed deep red, when Frank spoke next. ”I… I am not that cute... I am at least very below low...” she said, then calmed herself down.

A small smile flickered onto her lips. “Well... normal high schools probly don’t have swimming pools, or places where you can train using your powers... here, you don’t have to hide what you are,” she said, then lifted her arm, the left one, there was a jade bracelet on it. She removed the bracelet, and then pocketed it before rubbing her hands together, faster and faster, until they were warm. Letting him see the reddish lines that swirled all around on her skin.

“There are six classes in all, and they take the amount as a normal class does, I think an hour or so can’t really remember since I don’t pay attention to class, and there’s the fledging controller class, where you can learn to control your powers, mutant ethics. Where the professor teaches you about ethics. She moved to an opened window, and shot a blast of a whitish transparent ball out into the sky. “There...” she said, before putting the jade bracelet on. “My powers are in Heat, as in my body absorbs heat, then I have to shoot this heat out either in a Blast, a blade or a whip..” she said, looking up at Frank. “My apologies, but if you don’t mind me asking, what is your power?’ she asked him.

“Any other questions?’ she asked, moving her hand through her hair, her Violet eyes looked at him, putting her full attention on him. Mostly because she knew her mother and the professor wouldn’t be too happy if she seemed like she wasn’t interested in him.

When Sachu denied she was cute, Frank shook his head. " Now, now, don't be selling yourself short. You are cute, what with your sweet face and green hair and purple eyes. Why, I bet you need a bodyguard to keep the guys away from you."

Frank shook his head when she was describing the school. "Swimming pool, huh? I'm not too good with those. I tend to sink right to the bottom." He glanced down at his body. "For the obvious reason. And I never hide who I am," he added, giving her another wink.

When she asked what his power was, he responded eagerly, "Here, I'll show you. It's really great!" Then, before she had time to react, he pulled his shirt off and loosened the string of his pants while kicking off his shoes. Flashing Sachu a smile, he began his transformation.

Instantly, his face began to get longer as his nose flattened, his eyes grew round and shifted to the sides of his head, and his ears elongated and moved to the top. A covering of brown and white fur sprouted all over his body. His arms and fingers grew shorter as they became his front legs while his fingernails became short claws. His feet grew longer as his spine curved so he was on all fours. The transformation looked painful, but it caused him no more discomfort than changing clothes. Finally, it was complete, the whole process taking about half a minute.

The oversized rabbit in sweat pants looked up at Sachu with wide eyes and a twitching nose.

Having gone out for a bit of flight, Tommy was the last to find out he was going to have a roommate. When he did return, however, it was to see the elegant envelope in his room that said he was about to have another student join him in the dorm. He didn't particularly mind this, instead merely hoping that the copious blood his mutation tended to generate would not freak the poor guy out.

Replacing the cold and wet T-shirt with a fresh one, though only after wiping the blood from his back, he took great care to wrap his forearms in black bandages, a courtesy he performed to help the other students look at him without thinking about the pain, which really was not all that great. At least not to him.

Finally, shoving his hands into the pockets of the unzipped sweatshirt he'd recently bought (it was the most comfortable piece of clothing he'd ever encountered), Thomas went to the foyer, where there was quite an interesting scene to be seen.

Heatblast, a girl whom Tommy had only seen a few times and met purely on the formal level, was welcoming... a gigantic rabbit. ~This is new.~ he thought idly, amused at the sight. Deciding not to merely stand by and spectate, the youth detached himself from the doorway and approached the pair.

"Hello, Sachu," he said politely and then turned his attention to the rabbit, "Is this my new roommate?"

His face might as well have been read as an impassive one, as if he were bored or endlessly unamused by the idea of sharing a room with the overgrown bunny, a conclusion very commonly reached by those who met him for the first time.

"I suppose you have a human form as well? Might be a bit hard to talk and shake with that anatomy..." he said, and at the same time thought ~Whereas my anatomy makes shaking hands eerily easy.~

Moving his right hand out of the pocket, he offered it to the rabbit, hoping that he would not notice the delicate, pale scars that trailed the back of his hand and fingers, seemingly fresh. Or, in case he did, that he wouldn't freak out. The scars were always so pale and jagged that it was easy to conclude that their creation was painful. It usually lead to Tommy having to explain that he had a supernatural tolerance for pain, and an abnormally high one even without the mutation, which of course usually lead to questions about his past. Questions which invoked memories he rather avoided.

Deciding to try and encourage conversation, he smiled. The smile seemed a sad one, purely because of the look in his gray eyes. ~Don't read into what you see, don't analyze, pity and compassion are not needed, I'm over it...~ he chanted within, as if he were able to cast a spell of disregard. It would be nice to start a friendship with something other than the Oh-you-poor-dear conversation.

Overall Sean had to admit that yesterday had been rather eventful both for himself and for the woman he loved. Admittedly they'd missed for the most part the exciting events that had unfolded in the cafeteria though maybe that was no bad thing. Thomas Fireheart wasn't overly given to exaggeration and if he'd described the events as utter pandemonium, Sean was quite willing to take him at his word. Well there were certain things that once seen couldn't be unseen, so if Sean had seen Wade Wilson dressed up as Cupid he wouldn't have enjoyed seeing Betsy in her new dress nearly so much. That really had been a night to remember and if he was feeling a little tired then it had all been worth it. Though he might not be as young as he used to be, at least he could still keep up with Betsy.

Fortunately for Sean the morning had been quiet and now he was just thinking of heading off and seeing if Betsy would like to share some lunch with him. Hopefully they would enjoy the meal in peace without having it interrupted by nearly naked mercenaries or demented werewolves. Pausing a moment he sent Betsy a thought, receiving a mental confirmation and a request to meet her by the Hedge Maze. The Irishman quirked an eyebrow as he wondered just what Betsy might be up to now. Still he was eager to find out, so quickly headed out of the Day Room where he'd been taking it easy and headed for the foyer. With his thoughts pre-occupied he didn't really pay much attention to the voices he could hear as he approached, that was until he came across a sight that gave even him pause for a moment.

There were quite a few students in the school with animal-based mutations and amongst them shapeshifters, though not usually something as inoffensive seeming as a giant rabbit. There was one person he could think of who could pull a trick like that but he doubted it was her. Once Sean had finished doing a double take he glanced over at the other two. "Hello Sachura," Sean gave the young green-haired teenager a gentle smile. It would be difficult not to feel fond of her even if you didn't know her as well as you liked. The other student he didn't know as well, though sadly not that many were close to him. At least he could put a name to a face, "Hello Tom."

Sean walked over and took a closer look at the rabbit, "Well yuir wearing sweatpants, so I'm assuming yer actually a student. Wait a minute..." Sean scratched at his chin in thought, remembering now something that he'd forgotten earlier. "Ach, I remember now..ye must be the new student..." He tried to remember if he'd been given a name. He looked over at Sachura for help, "Yuir looking after him lass?"

Summary: A somewhat tired Sean has his mind on Betsy as he heads off for an appointment with her in the Hedge Maze. However he's a little distracted when he comes across a giant rabbit, so stops to talk to the new student and Sachura and Tommy.

Sachu blinked, blushing much redder when Frank spoke, telling her she was cute, also complementing her looks, as well telling her she needed a body guard to keep the boys away. That made her smile a little, also. She listened as he then spoke about the swimming pool. ”Heh.. I haven’t swam in a while,’ she couldn’t help to say and nodded. “I see,” she said, then watched as he showed her his power, her eyes widening as he turned into a large rabbit!

A smile formed more to her lips as she watched on. ”Heh I know a few people who will like ya,” she saud , having blushed a little when he removed his shirt and he could see what her mind told her was lots of large muscles. And then turned her head as another male arrived. “Hello,” she said to the man when he greeted her, using the nickname Dark Voltage had made up for her. It also took what Dark Voltage taught to not run away from this guy. And allowed her to say, ”Oh Frank is your new roommate?’ she asked then nodded. ”Yup this is Frank, he is new to the school," she was about to say that she was going to take him to the room that was assigned when Banshee arrived. She remembered him, seeing him around the school, also one of her best friends was his daughter.

“Hello Banshee, Sir, how are you today?’ she asked then nodded. “Yup, he is human, his name is Frank,” she said, then nodded to what Banshee asked next “Yes sir, The professor told me to show him around the school, and then get him to his room,” she explained, then looked at Exalted. ”If you want to, you could lead the way to your dorm.. “ she said, then turned to the rabbit. Inside she was keeping herself calm knowing she was around three men, that she was the only female with them.

Frank returned to human form so he could talk. "Boy, it's getting to be crowded here," he said as he tightened the string of his pants. He slipped his shoes back on and picked up his shirt but didn't put it on right away. He wasn't ashamed of his physique, even though he had man boobs.

"Hey, how are you roomie? I didn't catch the name," Frank said as he extended a hand to Exalted. "As you heard, my handle's Frank, but I also answer to Lepus." He hadn't noticed the scars on him. "I hope there's still room for you when I'm moved in. I tend to take up a lot of space," he joked.

He turned to Banshee. "So, Mr., um, Banshee, was it? I take it you're a teacher. I look forwards to disrupting your classes with bad jokes and flatulence noises," He gave the older man a big grin and then said, "Nah, I'm just joking." Then he rubbed his chin and said, "Or am I?"

He glanced over at Sachu and saw that she looked slightly nervous. ~Wow, look at that. Just a couple minutes in my presence, and the poor gal gets flustered. Then again, who can really blame her, what with my dead sexy body and sparking wit,~ he thought, totally misreading the situation.

"Don't worry, you're doing a great job explaining the place, even to a cheesehead like me," he said to reassure her.

"Hello, Mr. Cassidy," Tommy replied nodding politely and stepping a bit back to allow the small gathered circle to expand and admit the new member. He turned back as the rabbit changed into an approximately same-sized guy. They shook hands, and the other didn't react to the scars, which made Thomas relieved, not caring much for whether that was an observational mistake or a courtesy.

"I'm Thomas Hunter, though I prefer any nickname, really. Most call me Tommy or Tom. My codename's Exalted," he introduced himself, and then shrugged at the other's comment.

"I don't spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway, and I'm sure it won't be a problem. Since I've figured the speed of my mutation out, I don't have accidents while asleep, either, so it's all good," he said, his mind so focused around the memory of the broken things he would find when he woke up and the thought of the scratches on the walls to realize that his sentence might have been misinterpreted into a misconstrued idea that his power was having a super bladder.

He turned to the young girl as she asked him about leading Frank to the dorm, and nodded lightly.

"Sure, I can do that. I don't have anything better to do, anyway," he said, only then glancing sideways to Banshee, remembering that he had a particularly late assignment in math due for the man. ~Let's just hope that goes unnoticed,~ he thought as he fell into silence, allowing the others to talk more if they so pleased.
