This is a new section written up, revised, and agreed upon by all four (now three) Admins here at Mana4X2. In light of many occasions here where misunderstandings, problems, and offence has been caused between members it is high time we make a few things clear to you all. In other words, this is a new rule. READ & HEED!!
It has come to our attention that the moment something happens, someone is offended, or a misunderstanding does occur, it is the tendency to bring it to the attention of the Admins straight away. This is of course prudent when a rule has been directly broken, when something has been written out of context or overlooked… in light of the generalness of the board.
However, where this new rule falls into place is when offence is caused to someone by someone else. This means there are two parties involved, and it should remain that way unless the matter CANNOT be sorted out between those two parties. That leads us to the following steps:
STEP 1: If one person is offended by another, the FIRST STEP is to approach the person that has caused the offence, either via PM, IM, or Email, and explain to them exactly what they have done.
STEP 2: GIVE THEM TIME TO ANSWER (sometimes people don’t get on within 24 hours to even see they have a PM.)
STEP 3: IF you are not happy with their response, IF they do not respond after at least 24 hours, IF it seems they are being arrogant about the entire thing… THEN GET ONE OF THE ADMINS INVOLVED, and preferably Mana4X2’s Admins, Mana, Kathryn or Domonique.
STEP 4: DO NOT, and it is reiterated, DO NOT POST UP ANYTHING RELATING TO THE ISSUE ON THE BOARD. IT IS BETWEEN SAID PARTIES ONLY, NOT EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF MANA4X2!
These four steps help to keep the problem between those directly affected at first, and perhaps even overall if it can be sorted out between them. It is difficult when getting a third or fourth party involved, for those parties really do not have a clue as to how each person is affected or what has fully taken place. Often, Admin or member response to the entire situation can just make the matter worse, as has been the case several times.
And that goes for when it is felt it is needed to stick up for a friend. We understand feelings along this line can be strong, and we also understand that those involved do need to have a chat to someone they trust outside the issue… HOWEVER, a warning, DO NOT GET INVOLVED AT ALL. DO NOT SEND PM’S TO THE OTHER PARTY! DO NOT POST ANYTHING ON THE BOARD, AND IF YOU SEE SOMETHING ON THE SITE ABOUT IT ALREADY (which will end up getting deleted) DO NOT POST TO IT!
WE CAN’T MAKE IT ANY CLEARER, IF THE ABOVE RULES ARE BROKEN IN ANY WAY, A 2-DAY SUSPENSION WILL INCUR; BROKEN AGAIN BY THE SAME PERSON, THAT NUMBER WILL INCREASE. IF THE 5-DAY PENALTY IS REACHED, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM MANA4X2!
AFTER READING THIS, POST IN YOUR NAME AND THE CHARACTERS YOU PLAY. IN DOING THIS, YOU ARE SAYING YOU NOT ONLY AGREE WITH THIS NEW RULE, BUT YOU UNDERSTAND IT AS WELL. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT, OR YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.
