X-GENE MUTATIONKinetic Absorption: Nord's primary mutant power was the ability to absorb the energy caused by a kinetic impact. While this power did have limits, Nord could survive a 10 story fall, powerful blasts of energy, and being struck with superhuman force without being injured.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Upon joining the Weapon X Program, Nord was artificially granted a slight healing factor by the program similar to the ones possessed by Wolverine and Sabretooth, though far inferior to theirs. As a result, he could fully heal from mild to moderate injuries faster and more extensively than a normal human. This healing factor also made him highly resistant, if not immune, to most diseases and toxins. It also greatly suppressed Nord's natural aging process, causing him to age much slower..
Control: None; It is like the bodies immune system. It works on its own.
Weaknesses: Only thing that could stop it would be something akin to the Legacy Virus.
Kinetic Absorption and Energy Control: After some experiment at Weapon X, Nord's kinetic absorption power mutated to greater limits and the energy he absorbed had to be channeled into powerful blasts of concussive force or heat. He could also purposely channel the energy to increase the force of his physical blows. After absorbing his peak level of energy, Nord's punches and kicks were 10 times stronger than normal. It isn't known if Nord could channel the energy for the purpose of lifting great amounts of weight.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILEPersonality: Maverick is a person that is just irritated all the time. He does not like to talk about casual things because it is not important to him. If someone does not have something meaningful to say, then he ignores them. Maverick only considers the following things important: missions, food, and what's happening in the world.
Maverick has a soldier's mind. He is always thinking three steps ahead. He is used to being around trained warriors, and can't stand it when novices are involved on an operation. He has the tendency to yell at them and make them feel bad.
Maverick has some good qualities such as being helpful. He helps anyone who is in trouble. The only problem is that his help is not always wanted by the victims and usually has a cost to it. Maverick sometimes goes overboard and does not use restraint when dealing with petty criminals and occasionally puts them in the hospital. He is also a little over-protective of the young mutants that are being hunted down and experimented on. Maverick sees it as his personal responsibility to stop all of that.
Skills: Maverick is an expert marksman. He can pretty much shoot any weapon and hit his target. He uses this skill more than his actual mutant powers. He is also an excellent tracker of mutants. Maverick was trained to track feral mutants, or mutants with animalistic mutations.

HistoryMaverick was born as Christophe Nord in Switzerland. His father, Alain Nord was an agent of the Socialist Party of Germany. When Christophe was six years old, his mother had tried to leave his father and was executed for suspicion of being traitorous. Christophe had been told that she was on an educational sabbatical. At seventeen, Christophe enrolled in the police academy. With his natural born talent, he quickly became a special agent of the secret police. During his time there, His powers emerged and he learned about his mother's demise. Christophe quickly left Germany and made his way out of Europe. His father killed himself shortly after Christophe's departure.
Christophe was brought out of Europe by a man named William Stryker. He was a colonel in charge of a unit called Team X. This is where Christophe became David North. Under the careful supervision of Stryker, North was able to become a better operative. North was put on a team of mutants. This included Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Wraith. He was apart of several operations to stop other nations from gaining advantages in technology and intelligence. First, Logan left the team after a mission where human life was completely disregarded. Maverick was not directly apart of the whole tricking Wolverine affair. He was busy tracking down other mutants at the time. Maverick stayed with the group for a few more years until a big political scandal. The team went underground after some political investigations. All of the mutant operatives were put through some psionic conditioning to be left as sleeper agents that could be reactivated when need be. North was also changed into a weapon capable of tracking and subduing Sabertooth and Wolverine.
David North awoke in New York City. The only things that he remembered were his name and the fact that he was a mutant that was once a tracker of mutants.. North traveled around the city trying to find someone who knew him. When he couldn't find anyone, North went underground and started searching for answers to his past. He eventually made his way to some old army barracks. He had seen them in one of his flashbacks. He found a letter there that was post marked Switzerland. North didn't make much of it at the time since the name on the letter was Christophe Nord, but he kept it just the same.
North traveled all across the country and became a vigilante along the way. He stopped crimes using his powers and the combat skills that were trained into him. He started to look through army records to see if there was something there, but it was all gone. North went to Europe about the time that the cure was happening. He felt some strange force drawing him back to Switzerland. He went there and found out his real name was Christophe Nord. North spoke to some people and learned what happened to him before he left Europe. He left with some memories of who he was.
North started to look into the Weapon X project and was able to find one of their old bases. He collected files on a lot of the missions and the members of Weapon X. He sought out Logan first in order to make amends for what happened to him. North gave Logan files about himself and the project. After doing that, North killed the doctor who had changed them. North left and contemplated the plan of tracking down and stopping Omega Red that he had discussed with Logan. He decided that it was not worth the risk, since it was probably a trick that he had seen the doctor he had just killed do. He contacted Deadpool and Wraith of what happened and tried to find Creed with no luck.
North continued to track down old Weapon X associates and trying to find out more about what really happened with the Omega Red mission. His memories were coming back to him, but not fast enough. Maverick took a break from his quest and went to the Xavier Institute. During the canine outbreak, North fought alongside the rest of the mutants to stop the imminent threat. He returned to the institute to help with the repairing of the damages. He was there during the Blade Girl kidnapping and helped to track down the culprit. He left the scene after putting an adamantium bullet in the guy's head. North was offered a job to help with the rescue of captured mutants, but turned it down because of a lack of information. North went off and did his own research and gathered his own supplies to return and help them out for free.
SAMPLE ROLE PLAYMaverick was running through the alleys of New York. He had been sent there to find a mutant kid that was running amok. He had been ambushed by some soldiers looking to take him to some government facility. Maverick had fought them off, but had been stunned in the process. He was on the run trying to get help.
Maverick made it to a bar and started to call home from a pay phone when the door blew open. "Freeze mutant." Maverick ripped the phone out of the wall and threw it at them. Maverick charged his fist full of energy and punched one of the guys in the stomach. The guy flew back into the rest of his team. He then ran to the back of the bar and ran out the door. He was chased down an alley that had no exit. "No where left to run, you freak."
Maverick pulled out a flash-bang grenade that he had on him. "And no more innocent people around. Time to play," Maverick replied. He pulled the pin and threw it into the middle of them. Maverick covered his eyes and heard the men yelling. He turned back to see them covering there eyes with one hand while reaching out for him with the other. From the roof and the windows of the surrounding buildings, gunfire and destruction could be heard. An hour later Maverick was walking up the sidewalk to a house completely covered in blood and sweat. He rang the doorbell and a man answered. "Hello, my name is Mr. North. I am here to talk to your daughter about attending the school I represent. May I come in," Maverick said while trying to play it cool. "Uh, sure," the other man replied. Maverick entered the house and the door closed.

. After going through it and giving it another thorough look now that I have more time it us definitely all good as is. Anything that may be remembered or sorted out later can be added in after the fact, like has been, and will be the case with Logan's, Creed's and Wraith's bios. Just need to wait on at least one more Staff review before the password to his current account and the HTML coding is sent to you for reposting. In other words, until you are free to begin posting for him ^^. I am kind of hoping my fellow Staffer, Domonique, who plays Wraith has a good look at this soon. Might PM her about it actually ^^.
