[Yukari]

A melody danced across the skies reflecting heaven above her. Fallen autumn leaves tumbled over the frosty ground, and in the wind came the new scent of fall. Although chilled the wind was comforting and a satisfied sigh unfolded off Yukari’s tongue. These lands, although new, held much familiarity, again her orbs gazed with longing to the sky, and a ballad released from her orifice. Her song was powerful, and echoed as a lullaby over the crystallized sky. Her tune was almost chilling as it carried through the brisk winds of autumn.

Lowering her muzzle her optics focused upon her surroundings, her mind was obviously else ware. Yukari stirred, a tremor reverberating through her spine, causing her to jolt forward and begin her slow pace through unknown terrain. A voice was cooing inside her head, echoing cynic thoughts, Yukari slowed her pace, her paws now gently dewed by the blades of grass. Her tassel flicked behind her, she showed no signs of anger, in fact she seem content. Though through this content exterior a demon snarled. Yukari exhaled deeply, her eyes flashing to every brush, and piercing gaze gawking at her. Obsidian tresses outlined her façade, and sapphire jewels like eyes sparkled in the sun elucidating rays. I wonder who resides here… she thought, her paws being submerged in mire. it seems a content place. Yukari’s mind although filled with disparaging thought, let a more chipper thought shine upon her others. Yukari listened to the wind whispering sweet nothings in her ears, and for a momentarily second she felt blissful to be in a new place. A new home and away from the massacre that was her old home.

Yukari quivered, the thought leaking from her mind as dew fell from an overhead tree, landing flatly upon her muzzle. This place seemed quiet and peaceful yet something seemed so wrong. Your just being suspicious Yukari. This place could be perfect. Yukari cocked her head to the side, her mind focusing on more elaborate, skeptical thoughts. Here her mind rested in between each dubious thought, she dwelled, playing out each scenario with livid detail. Stop being so pessimistic Yukari scolded herself, her facial features taken aback by the mocking and distrustful thoughts leaking into her flooded brain. Another sigh was released from her jowls, she longed to hear another song not unlike hers ricochet into her ears. The loneliness tugging at her head was even to much for Yukari, whom considered herself a most powerful creature. Oh lonely cry echo to a place to be heard, and let a song descend from the heavens and fill my ears with the sweet song I so desire to hear. Yukari kept these thoughts to herself, her image was shown as many would call, secluded, dark and evil. She held no mercy, she was Juukan herself, at least that is what others thought of Yukari. Perhaps she was the urn of Jukkan, but her solitude, and vice were of no fault to Juukan…It was the fault of those who knew of Juukan.

Through the cool breeze that caressed the forestry, a song carried into the wind. Cavi believed a spirit was chanting to him. Whispering to him a lullaby of good will and of fortune. He whispered thanks in reply. The land was simply beautiful. Bright shades of orange and dull shades of yellow, the earth took on a rather festive look. Cavi thought of perhaps through a victory party with the pack at the end of the war. He needed something to cheer him up. There was so much negative energy strewn everywhere here, and he knew that this was where many dark spirits made their home.

Cavi began to hum a rather poignant tune. Usually if he felt like singing, he would have not thought twice about it, but he had sung openly in his birth pack and was made fun of. Apparently, pack wolves didn’t sing. Especially males. He was told that he sang like a female and his voice was supposed to go deeper rather than the high notes he would hit in some songs the Healer had taught him. His birth pack had made him so self-conscious. He wondered if he would be accepted into his new pack
Dark chocolate, scared paws placed themselves over the earth tenderly, as if each step was like a careful decision to lead him on his journey. The hum soon turned into spoken mumbles. It was a slow tune and he mumbled it as such.
“Bellum…
Absque honore vel amore
facile fecit bellum…

Duriter adipisciri
Quamquam sola vera responsio…” Cavi hummed at the end of his shy mumbles. No one else was around. They were all fighting. So.. why not? He began to sing in a rather high alto voice. His voice grew in strength and rose and fell in a sort of depressing way. Once it grew in strength, it plummeted into a weak chorus.
“Pervehite ad me paci
Pervehite ad nos paci
Abrogate bellum
Abrogate odium
Abrogate adflictationem…” The tune echoed through the trees with sorrow and hopelessness. Cavi had known it to be quite a melancholy tune, but he remembered it soon grew strong and stayed strong. It was supposed to be a cry, a summoning for peace and the banishment of war.
“Cogite ea ad meum…” He howled. Calling for her, calling for peace to come to him. The song’s meaning was actually a love song the last time the Healer had taught him to sing it. Why this time it changed in meaning?
“Datus ero meus lux noci venire et pervehe lampadem!
Sed modo meo amori creare mihi novam lucem!” As he finished up his song, he felt a presence. Was it a spirit? Had he learned how to summon a light spirit?
“Cogite ea ad meum…”
