[Sophie!<3]

Taylor sat in the corner of the pub, his sketch book was out on the desk. He'd just got back from a very strange meeting with angry house elves about a strike. Ofcourse being the kind of smart guy he was he'd brought it to an agreement, he'd given the grumpiest elf a hat; the rest saw this as a kind gesture to there pact so agreed to go back to cleaning.

It was only around 7ish so he had plenty of time to spend wasting his night away, he was actually hoping to meet kale, to tell him about the deal he made with the elves. But then again it was so peaceful, so his attitude might spoil the night. Taylor got out his hb pencil and began to sketch his surroundings while taking sips from his drink.

[Tiger]

"Sweet deal, Taylor. What did you give them?" Kale settled himself in the seat opposite him as he had done earlier in the day. He set a guitar case resting against his thigh, fingers resting possessively on the top of the instrument case.
"Common room's clean. I'm assuming either you relented and did it yourself, got another Hickory to do it or the chat with the elves paid off." He said, counting off the reasons on the fingers of his free hand. "You were too adamant earlier to do the first, haven't got the right leverage to do the second so, how'd you manage it?" He lowered each finger, ticking them off, leaving one index finger pointing at the ceiling.
His eyes were less cold in the warm gloom of the pub, innocently curious.
Usually Kale had a good handle on the personalities of the people around him. Taylor was coming out of his shell after all these years, and it intrigued him.

Taylor looked up from his drawing to see kale, to his suprise he was actually happy to see him for once. He cleared his throat finishing off the remains of his drink in one gulp and turning to the mess of what was kale.
"It was easy really, not at all a challenge. Those house elves didn't even know who I was,theyd forgotten all about the accident and wern't too happy I had brought it back up." He began to talk closing his sketch book with a smile.

"Yet in the end they had to give it to my gesture of clothes to there so called leader, he was a fat grumpy house elf who didn't want to bargain with me. He said he was enjoying his vacation, he was basically taking the mic out of my attempts to get him to change his mind, I was about to give up until I had the great idea to give him my old beanie hat." He said in a moutful, not taking any pauses. So after he was very much out of breath "Worth it though, I don't like cleaning up after others..."

[Tiger]

He listened carefully, more to the almost-confident tone of his voice than the actual words. Kale snorted at the thought of the fat old house-elf in a beanie. "Good call."
He produced a plastic bag from his pocket and tugged three wooden objects from it. The bangles were intricately carved, some with scenes depicted on them, others with delicate patterns of vines on them.
Sliding the empty bag across the table, he placed the wooden bracelets on top of the plastic. "Man of my word, me. These are the real deal, centaur jewelery right from the source. None of that tourist rubbish they sell down the street." He flashed a grin. "Don't worry, they're fairly paid for. I'm not the brightest candle in the box, but I'm not stupid enough to steal from centaurs."
Kale leaned back in his chair, crossing his ankles and patting the guitar case, reassuring himself.

"Wow, Thanks..." He said taking them and placing it neatly in his black ripped bag along, he was planning on meeting with xia to give her them as a gift. He was pleased with himself, he didn't know where is sudden burst of confidence had come from. It seemed to have appeared from no-where, just like magic...actually it was probably just a magic joke someone was playing on him; or maybe it had something to do with that pretty little lady he had his eyes on.

"So hows life?" He said trying to make conversation, he might aswell use the confidence he had gained to make some friends. Kale could be a good one, well minus his bigheaded cheesiness he seemed friendly. Maybe he could even help him with the lady, no wait that is a terrible idea. Taylor could win xia's heart on his own...he had the natrual charm and thats all that mattered.

[Xarae]

It was cold outside, some stray snowflakes floated down, glittering in the night air as they spiraled down and landed onto the ground, only to be crushed moments later by some person or another trudging by. Lilith doged another person coming out of the pub, sighing deeply she ducked down as some first year lobbed a snow ball from out of the bushes. Irritably she stood up an kicked snow into the bushes, hearing a muffled yelp she trod onwards. The warm glow of homey lights came from the windows, and she could already feel the warmth of the inside of the pub. With renewed strength she scuffled towards the warmth, pushing the door open and glancing around. The pub wasn't buzzing as it normally was, most of the older students had gone somewhere more private, and there were very few people left. Two hickories and a few others. She glanced over warily at the two boys and trudged over to a seat a booth in back of them, as it was the closest and she felt too dead to walk any further. A waiter scurried over and took her order, a ginger ale and a burger and chips. She reclined back into the cushioned booth, her mind wandering over the day's activities, mostly checking on Cim, some studying for the up coming classes...and walking. Nothing very interesting. Lilith looked over at the two men, raising a brow as she recongized one, then turning back to stare at the other side of her booth. One of them was Kale Landon, or at least that was what she had heard. He had a reputation. Lilith shuddered and made herself slightly more comfortable in the booth, awaiting her food.

[Tiger]

Kale gave a tired sigh, smiling and ruffling his hair into their best just-out-of-bed look. His eyes started scanning the bar briefly, resting on the window as another figure approached the door. "Life is," He paused to identify the person who had just entered, "goood." He watched the red-head find her way to a booth, and tipped an imaginary hat when she looked their way.
Turning half his attention back to Taylor, he stretched his arms out in front of him until his elbows cracked and the muscles in his shoulders eased. "I've already got two detentions, one of those sodding 'griffs almost got me the day before last and I had to add a few paint touch-ups to my broom but otherwise, life is just dandy." He lifted a hand in a lazy gesture, summoning the waiter as he passed. "Drink?" He asked Taylor. "My treat." He dug in his pocket for a note of muggle money, eyes flicking to Taylor with the question.

"Sure,Ill have whatevers on offer." He said shrugging, he wasn't really thirsty but the offer was too nice to turn down, he looked at the girl from across the room. He didn't know her but smiled politley anyway, it was in his nature. He turned back to kale and laughed.

"Well Ive had one detention, yeah I know. The silent guy gets in trouble, but I wouldn't be in our house if I didn't get in some sticky situations. Lets say that setting fire to storeroom was a total accident" He said rolling his eyes, "Whose the girl?" He asked reffering to the person who had just sat down.

Lilith raised two fingers boredly to her forehead in a half salute to Kale. She might as well play along, she had nothing better to do at the moment. She sighed and laid her palms flat on the table, the grain of the wood smooth under her hands. The bar was warmer than outside, and it felt so good to be in, but it was still cool. She shrugged her hoodie back on, but it didn't help much. Her blue-grey eyes wandered over the other patrons of the pub, but eventually they fell on Kale and Taylor again, seeing as she was forced to look at the back of Kale's head and Taylor's face whenever she looked straight. Lilith sighed and glanced down at the table, worn smooth over the years of people running their hands over it's wood. She blinked slightly and cocked her head, wiping her eyes as she stared out over to the bar. The waiter appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. She jumped slightly, a bit startled at his sudden appearance. The sullen man said nothing and placed the ginger ale on her table without a word, scuffling off. Clearly he did not enjoy his job. Lilith rolled her eyes and reached out for the soda, taking a slow sip, the bubbles making her feel giddy. She put the glass down and looked around again, brushing a stray hair out of her eyes.

[Tiger]

"Two cokes and I'll pick up the tab for hers." He winked over his shoulder at the red-headed witch and handed the waiter a folded $20 bill.
"No idea who 'the girl' is." He said as the barman shuffled off to get the drinks. "Gimmi a sec and I'll find out." Twisting in his seat, he rested his forearms on the back of the seats that partitioned the booths. "Who are you? My friend here wants to know." He rested his chin on his arms, looking mildly innocent and calm. He raised his brows a fraction with the question.

"I didn't mean it like that, You make me sound like im desperate to know who she is." He commented, staring at the back of kales head and kicking him under the table. Not hardly, since Taylor had no muscles at all. "I was just curious since you seemed to know her but I guess I was wrong."

This was one of the reasons why making friends with kale was a bad idea, Unlike Taylor who is painfully shy, he isn't scared to introduce himself to complete strangers. If this was taylors way, he would just stop at "I have no idea who she is" and not try investigating further. Maybe this was his cue to leave, wait no; running away is no the answer to your embaressment.

He just crossed his legs and waited to see the girls response, He smiled at her again but didn't want her to get the wrong impression.

Lilith cocked her head, peering over Kale's shoulder to Taylor. He seemed to be the quieter one, not exactly her type. "Lilith, I'm Lilith. And, correct me if I'm wrong, you're Kale Landon?" She said, attempting her best innocent face while taking another sip of the ginger ale. "Friend, eh?" She said bringing her face up from the soda to glance over at the other guy, who seemed to be kicking Kale under the table. "Doesn't seem like much of a friend to me..." She said, brushing a lock of firey red hair out of her eyes.

[Tiger]

Kale gave a mock glare back to Taylor when he kicked his shin. He stuck out his tongue in a purposefully immature gesture and looked back to Lilith. "Lan-DEN." He corrected, tilting his head. "It's a love/hate relationship." He glanced back as the drinks were delivered, the change clattered down on the table. Kale reached and handed back a couple of dollars worth of change as a tip and turned back to Lilith.
"This is Taylor. Excuse him, he's shy, but I'm working on it." He grinned back at Taylor. "Say hi, Taylor." He said, eyes laughing. The tone could be anything from sarcastic bullying or friendly jesting. It was hard to tell with the devilish smile on the teenager's face.
He started twirling his hair into spikes, a mockery of the typical female gesture. He pouted when the hair refused to stand upright, running his hand through it to ruffle it up again.

Taylor pulled a face, a deadly one; he didn't like being mocked but decided he had no other choice. "Why don't you work on something more important? Like that terrible ego of yours." He said copying the mocking face that kale had made towards him yet with his own personal touch of a wink.

He smiled at the girl, "Hello, its a pleasure to meet you." He waved slightly, biting his lip. "Don't excuse me, Im not shy...I just am over shadowed by mr pretty locks here." He said messing up kales hair with his right hand before placing his glasses on. He wasn't too bothered by the fact Kale called him shy, he wanted to proof he wasn't.

Not that it was easy when your sat oppisite a really weird boy with a dodgy british accent.

Lilith found Kale's jokes amusing, and it was hard to get her to laugh at anymore...she just didn't ever feel up to it. What was the point? But here she was smiling and laughing like a school girl on the playground. "Pleased to meet you as well, Taylor, and Mr. Lan-DEN." She said, smirking picking up her ginger ale again. This time the waiter came back the burger and chips, she smiled her thanks and was about to hand him some money when he shook his head. "No need, this young man here already paid." He said, scuffling away to another table. Lilith raised an eyebrow and turned to Kale. "Chivalry is dead, but you're still kind of cute." She said with a playful smirk. She wanted to see how he reacted.
