Appearance: Dan is tall dark and lanky. To put it simply. Standing at a little over 6', he doesn't exactly tower over those in his own grade, but finds it quite amusing to literally look down on the first years. He sports the sterotypical 'emo-flip' that has become so popular in America these days, meaning his hair is shaggy all around with a large chunk that covers one eye. At the bottom said chunk appears a list of colors rivaling the crayola company, anywhere from blech blonde to electric blue, though Dan's personal favorite is a nice flashy fire-engine red.

When his eyes aren't fixed on the ground or anywhere that isn't where everyone else is looking, people have said that they are quite striking. Fitting of both his personality and his overall look. A bright vibrant sky blue flecked with bits of white, capable of very intense emotion, but almost always blank and bored.

Dan is quite lean and lanky, there is muscle on him it just stretched tightly over his bones, and you can't really see it anyway because he is most commonly seen clad in pretty baggy clothing.

Personality: Dan remains secluded, a loner by choice rather than by exhile. Purely because most people tend to annoy him. A reason for this is because he is a rather good spellsman. The abilities of his classmates tend to not be able to cast a light upon his. That is, when he tries. In his classes he does what he has to skate by un-bothered. But it is in the heat of a duel that one can see that the boy has a cunning to him rival to wizards much older than himself.

Though it is pretty hard to find, Dan has a soft side to him. A hopeless romantic of sorts. But it takes a lot of girl to draw it out of him. Fiercly loyal to those he befriends, and aloofly vicious to those he makes a enemy of, many in the school (even those a year ahead of him) tend to try and not cross his path or rub him the wrong way. But those who get past the 'I'm a bad boy, leave me alone' protective shell can see that Dan has his playful witty side, and somewhere within him a kind heart.

History: Dan comes from a pretty average family, known for nothing but the vast generations of Arnayo's that have attended the school. Before attending the school Dan had been exhiled by children of the muggle world, he grew used to being on his own, and carried it over into his life at Lumos.

Family: Only child, son of Dennis and Elaine Arnayo.

*Pet: Wolfhound named Hyde, Hyde is an outside dog and sleeps in the barn at night.

*Sample Post: "Levicorpus!" the voice cracked, and there was a loud eruptiong of giggles and laughs somewhere to the sixth year's left. His eyes dragged away from the book he was reading, his back still resting against the bark of a tree behind him. A bully fourth year had decided to pick on a scrawny looking first year. Dan sighed and turned back to his book. But a series of yelps snapped his eyes away again, the bully had pulled the fourth year high into the air, the poor kid's face was going bright red at the rush of blood to his face. The look of satisfaction on the bully's face brought scowl to Dan's face. The boy was surrounded by fellow fourth years, and apparently none of them had the stones or felt the need to help the poor kid out.

He stood up and his wand was out quickly, his low voice snapped "Liberacorpus!" and the firsty year began to fall, a flick of Dan' wand settled him down gently. "Hey what gives?" the bully looked up to see the tall sixth year glaring at him. Him and his friends had a joint moment where all their eyes bugge dout in fear, "We was just playing Rex honest we didn't mean no-" the boy was silenced by a sharp "Langlock!" from Dan's throat. As the fourth year's mouth screamed silently Dan turned to the other kids, "Scram."

They fled without anymore persuasion. The fourth year had just remembered he had a wand and poitned it at Dan menacingly, apparently shouting a curse at him. Nothing happened. Dan smirked, "Exppeliarmus," and the boys wand flicked out of his hand. As dan walked away he muttered "Finite Incantatem," and the fourth year's voice boomed from his throat again as he ran off to fetch his wand and run away, most likely to tell on big-bad Rex to the headmaster.

The badly shaken first year was just where Dan had left him, huddled on the ground and wimpering softly. Kneeling down Dan touched his arm, "You allright kid?" the first year held out his arm, apparently before Dan had come to his rescue the fourth years had been experimenting with some cutting charms. "Ferula," Dan pointed his wand to the cuts, and bandages fizzled from the air and wrapped around his arm.

Dan offered his hand to help the boy up, the first year took it and was pulled up briskly. "Get a spell book, they come in handy kid." he muttered and walked away. "What your name?" he heard squeaked from behind him, "Rex." he answered without turning around or stopping. "Thank you, Rex." another squeak. "I'm not helping you next time, toughen up kid." as he finished walking back to his spot against the tree pand icking up his previously interupted book, waiting for a teacher to scurry outside, terrified fourth year in hand, and lecture him about how magic can be unsafe.
