But a big part of me wants them to leave it alone! My biggest fear is that they keep publishing X-Wing titles, and one day, I just tire of them, and then instead of thinking of them as the classic Bantam era series, I grumble something like "ugh ANOTHER one?" I completely understand. I'm terrified that I'll read Mercy Kill and be "ehhh, meh." I want to be excited about Star Wars again so much it makes me sick. And I think that might make my expectations unreasonably high.

I still wish for a between LOTF and FOTJ Jag/Jaina story. Might not be typical SW but with the new styles. Anyway I would buy it. -------------------- Marriage is not the end.... they have an Empire to build.

I'd kind of like a story about Jag's rescue from Tenupe and everything that went down with him getting kicked out of the Chiss Ascendency. Was there a Fell family reunion, how did his parents react to Jag's exile. What the heck happened there?

Did they end up covering some of this in FotJ? Towards the end of the series? I don't think they did, but they probably should have. God knows that series needed more interesting story lines. |

They covered it in LOTF in a bare bones way. What they focused on more was Jag's anger and lack of trust in Jaina, and how they managed to mend their relationship. That made more sense from a storytelling aspect. Tacking a detailed explanation into a series that's set something like 2 years after Jag was rescued would be clunky and strange. So we should get a book or a novella about Jag on Tenupe, his rescue and what he did in the interim before LOTF. -------------------- Avatar text: Worst. Elevator ride. Ever.
