I think the cover art for Archived stories often gets lost because of the way the monthly links are set up for those fics. If you don't click on "Search By: Latest Entries" you never see them. That's a shame, because there are some really great pieces there by a wide variety of artists.

The cover I did for TKL's newly-archived Rendezvous was so much fun to create... it's my personal favorite (if I do say so myself shucks.gif). Since we already know about "J/J Payday" winknew.gif I decided to share it here. It might help to keep a few of us going until the rest of the profic story arrives. wub.gif

And, BTW, Rendezvous is well worth reading (or re-reading), J/J fans. I enjoyed it even more when I reviewed it for artistic inspiration than I did when it was first posted.

P.S: TKL, you can pay me later for shamelessly advertising your fic. angelnot.gif

I have gone back and re-read Rendezvous a couple times, it's a great J/J story. One of my personal favorites also.

The artwork it beautiful olj, it only adds to the love and tenderness of the story.

*payment on the way, hon*

This is one of my favorite favorite covers of all time. Of course people have no idea how good Scrubs is at capturing the story, not just making a cover. She mentioned doing a 40's look, which I think is fabulous for this story. The creative process of making the cover is as fun as writing the story because you're working with a visual thinker who's trying to express imaginings of the writer. When the cover comes back to me and I go, "That's what I was seeing in my mind!" it's a whooopie! moment.

On an aside, irks me that the one comment there is I missed some Wiki fact and the same person doesn't get that the whole point is J/J aren't supposed to be like themselves, not for that one brief moment before we know all heck was going to break loose. *sigh* What's an author to do.

I must get back to writing. Ganner has a new home where he has full care again so time may be opening up for me soon.

Aw! shucks.gif Thanks! The feel of this one is special to me and I'm proud of it. I could pick at technicalities but I won't because the whole point is to evoke emotion for a "Rendezvous". winknew.gif

It is very much a fun process, but it isn't always easy getting inside your head, missy!! heehee.gif

As for that Wiki-guy's comment, I read it and just went wtf.gif

Then I clicked over to read his Wiki info which put some perspective on it. tongue.gif Perhaps more time could be spent checking the errors in Wiki.

You can't please everybody, no matter what.

Yes, please get back to writing. wink.gif I've missed both stories.

OJN, I really like the cover. It's not an action oriented picture - It's very evocative of something far and away from everything else. In my limited literary analysis skills, I think that's what you're going for.
