Okay that's a funny bunny!
EmpressJainaSoloFel - January 30, 2012 07:49 AM (GMT)
It makes me wonder if the sheep watched the bunny scene in Monty Python...

That's one unemployed border collie. Hilarious!
True Animal Story:
Got a call from friends of mine last night. Her lovely long-haired housecat, Stella, went missing in December and despite every possible effort (and a couple of false alarms) was never found.
Until yesterday.
When they got home from walking their dogs, a message on the home phone said that a very skinny cat wearing a collar with their phone number had followed some people home.
Over they go, and sure enough, it was Stella: very, very skinny, extremely matted, and stinking of rotten fish (where has she been?). She was about a dozen city blocks from home and had crossed several scary-busy streets to get there, which is probably why she couldn't get back. She was lost and afraid of the traffic.
How she survived more than a month, in winter, we'll never know. Stella is off to the vet this morning to get checked out, then she has to find a way to deal with the new stray cat my friends just adopted last week then had vetted and spayed (literally last Thursday).
So now they have two cats and two greyhounds with two people in a tiny house. Oy!
But, still, "Yay, Stella!!" :waytogo:

I think the stoat is my favorite. :rotflmao: Although the squirrel is spectacularly fantastic, too. :cooldude:

Have you all seen Giant George - the tallest dog in the world...

I saw George on TV once, he'd been flown there and got his own first-class seat. What an adorable dog

Always have your phone in your pocket...
Three minutes ago through the screen door to my patio:

Are you freaking kidding me?
oldjedinurse - June 16, 2012 12:59 PM (GMT)
:heehee: No! That totally happened. What a moment. The doe stared at me for several minutes so I got half-a-dozen shots of her. Then she slowly turned and went back to her herd in the woods behind the house.
You can see the jump standards in the sand ring behind her - that's where we ride in good weather.
BTW, it REALLY sucks that all this is going to be ripped up and made into a gravel pit - more now than ever! There are lots of habitat areas left around here for the animals to migrate to, but I don't think they ought to be forced into it (any more than I'll be forced to move again!).

Now that the worst of my illness has passed I thought I'd introduce my primary nurse, Harry:

Harry never left my side these past two weeks. Cried when I went downstairs because in his book I was supposed to stay in bed ALL the time.
Bibs had night duty, but Harry mostly stayed in my room anyway.
Unfortunately, he can't help when the doctors start poking and prodding and tubing and needling, and so on.
Darnit! :nervous:
