OOC Rules

-BE RESPECTFUL. Do not instigate or try to cause trouble, and just respect the admins and other members. If you have a problem with another member, try and solve it out of the RP. This is not the Jerry Springer show, so please do not make it seem like it is.

-Don't abuse the shout box. Double, triple, quadruple posting is alright, just as long as it has meaning. If you type in phrases rather than one block, then so be it. Don't sit here bored, however, and just type random things until people come online. Remember, only boring people are bored.

-No godmodding whatsoever. For newbies, this means no controlling other characters' actions. Godmodding can be funny if both parties want to make up a nonsense thread, but during a serious RP it isn't allowed, unless its a little thing that neither side will mind. This could also be categorized as being the perfect character. You are not invincibible, you are not all powerful, please don't act like it.

-Power playing is acceptable, just don't get carried away. For new members, this means having threads going in more than one forum. As long as you don't have active threads open in more than half of the board (and that's a pretty impressive amount of open threading), you're okay. The point is, try and finish off your threads before moving on to millions more. Also, if you're in a special event, unless I say otherwise, you can start other threads, the event doesn't have to be the only place you RP.

-Try and be elaborate. If you want to post one-liners, that's fine, but just try and keep the habit thin. If you're having trouble coming up with anything to write, then just list your character's actions or thoughts. Try and keep it to two sentences or above, however. If you're one of those types who can write a novel every time, don't pick on those who can't (Like me). Just deal with it, you have enough to get their idea.

-If you want to say something OOC, or 'out of character' for those who don't know, then mark it somehow. The most common way is to put your OOC phrase in brackets like [this]. Total out of character posts should be posted in the Out Of Character section of the board. Another way is to put OOC: then your out of character typing, then IC: and your RP post.

-Advertisements should be posted in the Advertising forum ONLY. Please follow the rules there as well. Don't put them in your sig, it looks really dumb and we will suspect you of being a Post Bot.

In Character Rules

-No perfect characters, or no all-powerful characters. These are characters who can do things like obliterate armies with the flick of a wrist. Admins are at liberty to deem these types of characters as such if you decide to be difficult and point out some loophole, so save everybody the trouble and stay away from it. You're gonna get shot at a lot usually, and the bullets would usually hit 98% of the time, so act like it. Don't dodge them all, because even with enhanced reflexes like those of vampires and werewolves it'd still be impossible to dodge them every time.

-This is predominantly a Sci-Fi RP, but feel free to create as much drama and sappy stuff as you like. Start relationships with other characters, form love triangles, gain enemies within your faction, do what you have to to make a good feel for yourself here. No matter what species you decide to take, you will still have emotions, let them show. This gives the RP a more realistic feel.

-Sexual content is allowed, but mark it off. Nobody wants to read that kind of stuff. If you want to be raunchy, mark it off obviously, as in the title. Try to keep this site PG-13 if you will.

-Swearing is allowed, but again, be mindful. Don't make every other word of a sentance a curse word, it's rude and just makes people think badly of you. Keep your posts tasteful, please.

-Please type with correct grammar as best you can. You may be able to read it if you don't use it, but others may not be able to.

-You can not kill another members character without their permission to do so. This also include capturing, or seriously injuring. YOU MUST HAVE THAT MEMBER'S PERMISSION BEFORE DOING ANY OF THESE!

-Be mindful of other characters, let them join the thread if they want, and if you don't want anybody joining say that it's a closed topic. Be respectful to other characters, if you lock them up, you can not "accidentally" kill them without their permission. Also, technically dead counts as killing, so there Cody. (lol) This also includes not trying to kill the characters multiple times throughout the thread. (Cody, again.)

-Do not try and find loopholes in these rules, it gets very annoying when the officers have to deal with that.

Rules For Graphics

-If you want an avatar, make it no larger than 200x200 pixels. It should be kept at a nice size so as not to slow others' computers down or stretch the page. Same goes for signatures, please keep them to a manageable size. The can't be longer than half your post, or stretch the page out.

Basic rules

-No Flaming

- No controlling what the other character does or says unless the other player agrees to it BEFORE you post. If you do not have their approval, it is a violation.

- No Godmodding, Making yourself extremely strong or invincible.

-NO SPAMMING

(Thank You to Cody For Finding This For Me So I Didn't Have To Type Mine Over Again.)

Added a new rule, now not only do you need the members permission to kill their character, you also need their permission to capture, trap, or seriously injuring their character.

Also, I added that you cannot try and kill another char multiple time throughout the RP. Treat other characters like you want to be treated. Don't smash their car to bits on "accident." I will say you need the members permission for that too.

To enforce this rule, if you suddenly and "accidentally" destroy another char's property, I will destroy that same property of yourse, only worse, and it will be complete coincidence and "accidental." (In other words, Character A "accidentally" blows Character B's plane to peices. Then I will have a bomb "accidentally" be dropped under Character A's plane and detonates five minutes later while Character A is inspecting his plane. Not only is his plane blown to bits too, but now he has to go to the Hospital Section because he probably has great burns and injuries. If you destroy something you do not have, I'll destroy something that's very dear to your character. Get the members permission, it's not that hard, all you have to do is PM them and wait for an answer.)

Thank you.
