Kat walked into the library bored out of her mind. Surely there was a book in here she had not read yet. She seemed to have read every book back home and at the library near her house.

She started to walk down the aisle of charms books hoping that one of them would catch her eye. She sighed as she read over the titles, none of them caught her interest. Maybe it wasn't the topic or the books, maybe she was tired of reading and being the smart and reliable one in her family.

She turned and went down another asile and looked over the tranfiguration book titles to see what was there.

Willow walked into the library just as the lights were being lit. She could see the sun setting out of the many windows. Lots of students were headed out to Hogsmeade to hang out, meanwhile Willow felt like secluding herself. She'd been feeling strange and not sure why. Usually, she's be joining them all, probably buying the first round of butterbeers at the Three Broomsticks, but tonight all she felt like doing was spending the evening in the library. Yes, in the library. Willow couldn't beleive her actions. She liked to study, but never on a Friday night. She set her yellow and black bag at a table and zoomed off to the potions section. She blindly grabbed a couple books and sat down at the table.

Kat frowned at the book she was reading. How on earth was she ever going to pass potions if she couldn't figure out what the ingredients did or did not do. She got up and went to the Potions asile and glared at all the titles of the books hoping that one of them would jump out and tell her that it contained the answers she was looking for.

She sighed and looked down the asile at the tables and saw a few other students on a Friday night studying in the library. She knew that she would have to stop the Friday nigh study sessions and try to socialize more with the students here. SHe needed an more active socail life now that she wasn't around familiar surroundings.

SHe turned her attention back to the books on the shelf infront of her and continued her search for wisdom.

Willow suddenly started feeling restless. She book the books she'd picked and slid them in her bag. She'd read them when she was back in the common room. For now, she wasn't sure where she was going, but she had to get up and do something, anything. Willow quickly grabbed her bag, nodding to a Ravenclaw girl at a table as she passed.

Kat looked up from the book she was reading and noticed the Hufflepuff leaving the library. *Probably off to meet up with her friends* she thought with a sigh.
She looked down at the book she was reading and tears formed in her eyes. SHe had been here for a week and still had not made any friends. She really needed to do something about it, but what? SHe hadn't been able to strike up and conversations with any housemates and the other students really didn't want anything to do with her-they saw her a a brain.

She quietly closed the potions book and gather up her things and went to check out the book she would need. She decided to leave the library and go find somewhere else to go-anything that had people in it.

[Madam Pince]

Madam Pince came back from one of the aisles in which she had finished returning some of the charm books that the Gryffindors had left out. She shook her head, the first years were always leaving books out. They did not understand the meaning of putting things back into their places.

She went up to her desk and saw a few Hufflepuffs waiting to chaeck out some books. She went up to them and waved her wand over the books they wanted and told them that they had one week in which to return the books or else they would be serving detention.

Selene wandered into the library, feeling completely out of place. Somehow she knew she had to be there...she had no idea what led up to her arrival in the library. Madame Pince gave her a withering look, but Selene smirked at her and took a seat in the far corner. She still felt Madame Pince's gaze on her back, but she had much more pressing issues on her mind...

Madam Pince looked up when she heard footsteps and saw one of the Slytherin girls walk in. She raised her eyebrown at the girl. It was really uncommon for any Slytherin to come into the Library this early in the term. She wonder what Miss Solis was up to and decided to keep an eye on her.

Willow stepped lightly as she entered the library. She'd gotten bored with her usual routine and decided it was time to maybe spend some time in the library. She sat her yelllow and black canvas bag at a table and gingerly made her way to the potions section. Willow would be surprised to find other there were books in the library that had nothing to do with potions. She thought anything else was pointless at best.

She put on her glasses as she squinted at the titles, looking for something intersting. She found a black, leather bound book with gold lettering that seemed to call out to her. She grabbed the book without even so much as glancing at the title and took it back to her table. She rummaged though her bag for some parchment and a quill.

[Madam Pince]

Irma Pince walked away from the Transfiguration bookshelves and noticed that the library had become quite active in the past few hours.

She noticed that there were several Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws in the room.

"hmm I wonder where the Gryffindors are?" she thought as she walked back to her desk.

Kat walked into the Library which was really becoming her home away from home. This seemed to be the one place where no onde could talk about her or make fun of her.

She walked over to the Transfiguration section and looked over at the titles on the shelves. She ran her fingers over all the title names, but nothing seemed to jump out at her.

She sighed and went over to the Fiction section and decided to look at some books that wouldn't require her to think at all

Brett walked into the library. He actually thought he would never set foot in this place before classes started or at least closer to the end of the school year.

He walked past Madam Pince and gave her a nod of his head and wandered over to the transfiguration section and looked at the titles. He was interested in learning more about transfiguring things into useful items.

"Hmm" he thought as he read over the titles.

'Raving Rowena Ravenclaw', Willow said as she walked into the library.

She looked around for a bit and found the Defense Against Dark Arts section. She began carefully skimming though the books titles, as if she were on a mission.

Brett grabbed the book that he was looking for and decided to go to the Potions section and see if there were any other beginning potions books that would help him out with his homework.

As he walked to the other section in the Library he passed many other students studying or working on homework. He spotted Willow in the DADA section and decided to have some fun.

He crept up to her and very quietly said "What ya reading?"
