The Owlery

[Beautiful Disaster]

Incoming or outgoing, this is where the owls stay.

[Jimmy Towerz]

Jimmy, tired as usual slowly walked up the hard stone stairs towrd the Owlery. It has been atleast a month since he has written to hs parents and he actually began to feel bad for not doing so. Sighing raking his fingers through his messy brown hair, Jimmy yawned slightly covering his mouth with his hand. It was about 11:30 at night. He honestly didn't really know why he was tired, he even woke up late. Which he hated because he always felt like he wasted his whole day.

Finally reaching the last steps Jimmy slowly opened the door where he faced many different owls. Probably a thousand or two all sitting down quietly looking like they were all about to attack him. He always had these weird thoughts of strange random things happening to him. Let's just say Jimmy wasn't as normal as anyone else around school. He was quiet most of the time, and usually jsut played his guitar or sat in the Great Hall for hours eating, not caring whether or not he would get sick by morning.

Patting his pockets for the letter Jimmy looked around. "Oh yea." He said to himself. He didn't have a owl. Looking around he spotted Tiffany's. Tiff was his best friend, and alittle odd herself. But they both liked it that way, and didn't really care how many friends they had. Popularity wasn't that important. Giving her owl his letter Jimmy watched it fly off hoping Tiffany didn't need it anytime soon.

Willow quietly entered holding a small piece of parchment

'Artemis, come here sugar', Willow called.

A small red owl flew down and sat on a perch infront of Willow. Willow tied the parchment to her leg carefully

'No hurry Artemis', Willow said giving her an owl treat.

Artemis quickly flew out the window and Willow watched as she flew off in the moonlight

Kat walked into the owlery and looked around for her owl Athena. She spotted her and whistled for her to come down to her.

"Hey girl" she said as she petted her owl. "Do you mind delivering this letter back home? Mom and Dad have been expecting it for a while now."

SHe tied the letter to her owl's foot and then took her to the window and watched as she flew away.

"Fly safe" she called out. SHe then turned around and went to go find something to do.

Willow walked into the owlery and glanced around her. She saw the rays of light beam in from the windows as all the owls slept. Willow wondered how they could sleep with so much light and closed a few of the drapes to the windows. Artemis opened her eyes and flew to Willow immediatley.

'You know the drill, Artemis. Feel free to take your time.', Willow said tying the small piece of parchement to her leg and tossing her an owl treat as she flew off.

Willow turned around and left quietly, as not to disturb the resting owls.

*walks in and finds a school owl on her shoulder almost instantly and tries the letter for her mom to send her cinderella outfitand ties it to the qol. then walks over and send the oql on its way*

Kat walked into the Owlery and pulled her jacket firmly around her. It was a little bit colder up here than in the corridor due to all the open windows. She looked around for her owl Athena and finally spotted her.

"Athena, are you up for a trip?" SHe called to her owl as she came down and rested on Kat's arm.

Athena hooted and Kat smiled and petted he owl. "Ok girl, I need you to send this to mom and Dad. They are in Paris for a conference."

She tied her letter to her owl's foot and kissed her head and watched as Athena took off into the sky.

Kat sighed and turned to leave the room.

Willow stumbled her way into the owlery. She hadn't found much reason to write home lately, as nothing of much intrest had happened, but she thought she might as well let everyone know she was alright. Willow saw a Ravenclaw girl leaving just as she entered.

'Hiya there, Kat', Willow said smiling.

[Lily Potter]

Looking down from her perch on a windowseat, Lily watched people come and go. Her silver owl, Starfire, sat on her arm, enjoying the carresses her mistress placed on her silky feathers. A tear rolled down Lily's cheek as she watched two girls talking in the doorway. I miss my friends, she thought, and Jacob and Ian, they were awesome. I wonder if Ian's finally dumped Josaine...I wonder if Jacob misses me like I miss him. Lily sighed as these sad thoughts went through her mind.
She took a piece of parchment, quill, and ink from her robes and began to write a letter, still thinking. I wonder what Shelly, Allie, and Shira are up to now. Jenn started drawing away from us last year, I wonder what's up with her. Finished with her letter, Lily gave the parchment to Starfire and said, "Give this to Mum and Dad. I hope they don't get to miffed that I'm in Hufflepuff."

[Faith O'Handley]

Faith walked, or skipped, rather, into the Owlery. She was going to send her Muggle family a letter. At first she'd been pretty angry at them for not telling her she was adopted, but it was all good now. They loved hearing about all the magical, wonderful things. They had been especially surprised about Quidditch, and even more surprised about her interest in playing, but nevertheless footed the bill for a top-of-the-line broomstick. This time, she was writing to tell them abotut the Giant Squid, Hogsmeade, and most importantly, Brooke.
They're gonna be so surprised that she as well as her whole family are magical!

Faith hummed a part of a song that she had trained her owl, Minnie, to respond to. Minnie came down from the rafters and landed on her arm, albeit a bit heavily.
"Hmmm, looks like you've gained some weight, Minnie!" Faith chuckled, and Minnie looked at her with a grouchy look, if owls could do that. Faith told Minnie to take the letter to her family and Minnie hooted happily. Faith's family always doted on her. Faith lifed her arm and Minnie took off. Faith stayed there watching Minnie flapping off for a few seconds, and then tuened and left with a bounce in her step.

[Brooke Avel]

Brooke ran up to the owerly anxious to see if her letter arrived. Sugar she cooed. A snowy white owl flew down with a letter in its beak. Brooke hurriedly opended it.

Dearest Brooke,
Great News! Emma is perfectly fine just a misdiagnosis. She also said her first word: Brooke. Everyone was happy except your father, he wanted her first word to be dada.Dont worry he will get over it.Brooke gave a sigh of relief and chuckled. Her eyes still scanning the page continued. You told me in all of your letters about a girl named Faith. Next time you visit bring her. If she wants.

Brooke happily gripped the letter and skipped to the common room to tell Faith.

Mom,

Faith said she can come, but I am not sure about Keely. How is every one. I miss you so much! Any word besides Brooke out of Emma. And how is Hope? Is dad good? I heard he won the election, go dad. And how are you?

Brooke,

P.S-I met a guy!!!

Brooke attached the letter to sugar and watche her fly off.

"Minnie! Minnie!" Faith called out. Then she saw her. Ohmigod Faith thought, that's why she's been so heavy lately- she a MOMMY! Wait- that means-- YES! I'm a GRANDmummy! Faith did a little "happy dance" and went to find Brooke.

[Brooke Avel]

"Ahh," Brookes voice rfang through the air. "I got a cover shot for Italian Teen mgagzine," She did a super happy dance and ran off to find Faith.

Brett walked into the owlery with two letters in his hand. One was for his parents informing them on what was happening in his life and what he and his friends were up to. Also a little note to his older brother Jacob about a question on how to appraoch things with Willow cause he was clueless as to what to do next.

THe other letter was to Katie's parents about some homework questions and to forward a message to Katie's older brother about a favor. Katie would kill him if she found out what he was doing, so he had to make sure he used only his owl.

He looked around for Apollo and waited for him to fly towards the perch so he could deliver the letters. "Apollo take these to home and to Katie's house" he said as he gave his owl some bacon bits.

He watched his owl fly off and then left to go get dressed for the dance.
