'Welcome all, to another term. I trust everyone has their supplies, if not, there's a rather large stock of used books and things in the back for you to borrow. Please don't take them out of this classroom, however. I shall know if you do', she said clearing her throat.

'My name is Professor McGonagall and we shall be learning the fine art of Transfiguration within these walls. Could everyone sign in by telling me their name and house, please?', she said politley.

Josh walked in looking cheerful. Even though he was a Slytherin, he was most looking forward to Transfigurations. He took a seat up front and put his stuff down.

"Josh Jinglehiemer, Slytherin."

Willow was neither gifted or cared much for Transfiguration, however, she managed to trudge herself into the classroom and find a seat at the very back of the class. Transfiguration was easily one of her least favorite classes. Only Muggle Studies or History of Magic could compete with her loathing for Transfiguration.

'Willow Lazro from Hufflepuff', she said lazily.

Andre walked in, with a good mood and said 'Andre Samuel from Hufflepuff'

Kat walked in an quickly found a seat and could harldy contain her excitement because finally Transfiguration class was going to start.

"Katherine Harris, Ravenclaw" she smiled when it was her turn.

Willow rolled her eyes as her excited classmates entered the Transfiguration classroom. How could anyone possibly be excited about Transfigutation? After all, their head of house was of Gryffindor. Transfiguation couldn't possibly take that much talent with those lot in charge.

'Very well, then', she said maternially, a bit disappointed no Gryffindors seemed to be taking her class. 'I'm to take it everyone has their wand, correct?'

'Of course' he said as he pulled out his wand

Josh excitedly pulled his wand out to show to the professor. He didn't care if the professor was of Gryffindor, infact he had great respect for her, seeing as she had great power here in the school and he knew if he wanted to get anywhere, befriending someone with power would help. He just wanted to learn a great type of magic. Transfiguration would certainly help in some activities.

Kat grinned as she picked up her wand from her desk and proudly showed Professor McGonagall that she had it.

"I have mine" she grinned.

Willow smiled and nodded.

'I think 14 1/2" Rosewood with unicorn hair core should do the trick', she said twirling her wand in between her fingers.

Willow couldn't help but think of all the things she could find more useful than Transfiguration. She lazily laid her head in her hands as she looked around the classroom.

Brett was sitting at his seat looking at his transfiguration book when McGonagall started talking to the class. He picked his head up and heard everyone call out their names so he followed along with them

"Brett McCarthy..Hufflepuff" he said and looked back down at his book.

THen McGonagall spoke again asking if they had their wands. Brett rolled his eyes and held his up so she could see that yes even though he was sitting in the class he did in fact have his wand.

'5 points from Hufflepuff for your tardiness, Mr. McCarthy. Though, I do trust you have your wand.

Moving on class, today we'll be turning this rather unintersting pewter goblet into a field mouse. Now, it's very imporatant that you keep your concentration, as with Transfiguation, you'll need it undivided. Understood?', she asked rhetorically.

She walked past all the students leaving a mid size goblet on their desks.

'Does anyone already know the incantation?'

Kat smirked at Brett's misfortune Ha serves him right for what he did in potions she thought. THen Professor McGonagall placed a goblet on their desks.

When the professor asked if anyone knew the incantation Kat racked her brain to try and remember the spell that she had read over the night before. When she remembered she raised her hand to be called on.
