*waiting patiently, she was rewarded soon enough by the arrival of a fierce falcon. which lighted on her arm brace, its claws making deep indentions in the leather. she tossed it the live mouse in her other hand before taking the letter from the leg it dutifully held out, and then motioned for it to go. looking at the parchment she now held, a rare smile lit briefly upon her pale face. Luthen had written...her beloved twin brother...*

After tranfiguration class, Kimmie decided to deliver an owl to her family back at home, and tell them of the events which had occured since her arrival at Hogwarts. She couldn't believe how long she had been away from them and yet somehow forgot to send them an owl.

She tied the letter she had written at the Lake to her Lazare's foot. 'Take this home to Mum and Dad, okay?' She hugged her owl gently. 'Have a safe trip.' Lazare suddenly took flight and flew out of the Owlery and out of sight. She realised hOW stupid it was to be talking to an owl, but who else did she have really?
