Brett groaned and stood up with his wand. He looked around the room trying to find someone who he could willingly work with. Katie will probably work with Rufushe thought. He looked around the room.[Hey, Rufus isn't here...neither is Willow[/i] he noticed. Where is Willow? he thought to himself as he made his way to Katie hoping that she hadn't found a partner yet.

He cameto her side and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Katie...wanna be partners?" he asked. "Seeing that Willow and um Rufus aren't here and with us working together, I know we wont kill each other" he added with a grin.

Lily twirled her wand absent-midedly. Since Brett was partners with Kat, she didn't see anyone who was free that she knew.

Kat looked around the room the moment Flitwick mentioned partners. She frowned when she remembered that Rufus hadn't come to class. Argh, got to find a partnet quick before I end up with Josh she thought.

She noticed that there weren't that many Ravenclaws in the class. guess I'll have to work with someone else then she thought to herself as she stood up and grabbed her wand. She turend to the sound of Brett's voice and rolled her eyes at his comment.

"How are you so sure that we wont kill each other?" she said with a teasing grin. God that boy annoys me sometimes she thought.

Lily nearly growled when she realized that no one was going to be her partner.

[Professor Flitwick]

Professor Flitwich turned his attention back to the front of the room ready to begin the practical part of the lesson. He looked at his class and frowned. He took his wand and shot up sparks in the air to get their attention.
"Class, please find a partner in the next 20 seconds or I will be forced to pair you up myslef" he said looking at them. "You do not want me to pair you off" he added.


THIS MEANS PAIR UP FAST

Lily nearly panicked at the threat in Flitwick's voice and began hurriedly looking for a partner.

Kat's eyes went wide when she heard Flitwick tell them to get a move on. Looks like I'm going to have to partner with booger brains she thought unhappily.
"Ok Brett, I'll be your partner" she said as she made her way to him and scowled at him. Of all the days for Willow and Rufus to miss class she thought miserably.

Lily really started to panic because she saw everyone else pairing up and leaving no one free.

Mellissa tapped Lily's shoulder. "Hey, Lils, wanna be partners?"

Brett laughed when he noticed Katie came over to him. "Aww Katie, I knew you loved me." he said with a laugh and gave her a hug. "Come on, what would our dad's say if they knew we were fighting? I mean come on we are 'siblings'" he reminded her.

He grabbed his wand and loked around noticing the rest of the class had began to scramble to find partners rather than face the wrath of Flitwick. Who knew a guy so small could be should a threat he thought.

"So, what do you think we have to summon?"he asked Katie looking down at her fuming face.

Lily turned, startled, to see her friend Mellissa. "Oh, Mel, it's you."
Mellissa rolled her eyes, "Of course, it's me, silly."
Lily laughed. "Sure, I'll be your partner."
The two girls stood together by their desks. Lily looked at the older girl. "What do you think we'll be Charming?"
Mellissa gave a sly smile. "Boys, I hope."

To her horror, Selene found everyone paired up. That only left...Josh. She groaned softly, but hoped Flitwick would take some mercy on her. But, knowing what an insufferably wizard he was, she knew that wouldn't be the case.

"Professor, I seem to be without a partner," she said.

KAt rolled her eyes at Brett. "It's called cousins Brett" she said with a laugh. "Hopefully we can summon your commen sense back from the vacation it took" she added. She looked over at Professor Flitwick and waited for him to continue the lesson.
