Classroom of Potions taught by Professor Snape.

[Severus Snape]

Snape sulked into the Potions classroom. He looked back at the school children in front of and tapped his wand on his desk to get their attention.

'Settle down before I start taking house points', she said clearly. 'Now that we've got that settled, give me your name and house, so I may properly check you in.'

Willow happily made her way into the potions dungeon, at least her father wasn't teaching her favorite subject. She picked a seat near the front of the classroom and put her feet up on the desk in front of her. Finally, the one place where everything made sense: potions.

'Willow Lazro, Hufflepuff Head Girl', she said with pride.

Josh walked in trying not to be noticed and took a seat at the far side of the room in the front row.

"Josh Jinglehiemer, Slytherin."

Kat quietly walked into the potions room and looked around. She wanted a seat where she could remain as unseen as possible because Potions was realy hard for her. SHe finally spotted a seat near the back and went to claim it.

"Katherine Harris, Ravenclaw Head Girl" she replied nervously.

[Severus Snape]

'Good', Snape said simply.

Snape made sure to make eye contact with all of his students, as if to inimidate them.

'We'll be learning the masterful art of potions this term. An art, that I don't expect all of you to be exceptionally gifted. Only a select few shall gain my acceptance as an adaquate potions maker', he said cooly.

'Now, to your left there is a potions cabinet, this is where you'll keep your supplies. Understood?', he asked rhetorically. 'I'd like you to go get yourself exactly two grams of lavender, a gram of chamomile and a gram of mint.', he paused briefly.

'Go!'

Josh walked slowly to the potions cabinet where he measured two grams of lavender, a gram of chamomile, and a gram of mint. He slowly walked back to his seat with his supplies.

Kat sat in fear in her seat. She gulped when Professor Snape got to the part of acceptable potion makers.

Oh man, I hope I at least pass this class she thought to herself as she wrote down the ingredients they needed and then stood up with the rest of the students to collect the lavender, chamomile, and mint.

She brought the stuff back to her table and wondered what the 2 grams of lavender, gram of chamomile and gram of mint was going to be used for.

Slightly scared of the professor, Andre annonced himself 'Andre Samuel of Hufflepuff' and he hastily got his 2 grams of lavender, a gram of mint and a gram of chamomile.

Brett took a seat in the first empty chair he found and set his bag down on the floor. He looked around and noticed that all the others had said thri names.

"Brett McCarthy, Hufflepuff" he stated.

He then sat back and took his quill in his hand and started to twirl it in his fingers as he listened to Professor Snape talk. He got up with a sigh and went over and collected the required ingredients and set them on his table and look around the room bored.

Willow nodded to her housemates before getting up to get her ingredients. She rolled her eyes at how easy this particular potion was, as she remembered making it for the first time as a little girl.

She got up and went over to the ingredients cabinet. She looked over the ingredients for a good time before selecting those that passed her high standards and took them back over to the table that served as her desk where her cauldron sat.

[Severus Snape]

Professor Snape smiled slightly and nodded to the one Slytherin student, while he looked on at the others with a look of contempt.

'Now, break apart the lavender and chamomile flowers', he said as he grimaced, 'away from the stems and add it to your cauldron. I assume you all have cauldrons. Then, carefully add two liters of water', Snape said eyeing everyone, 'and bring to a boil', he said with a flick of his hand.

Kat looked down at her ingredients and carfully took the lavendar and started to threw it away from the stems. She added it to her cauldron and then started on the chamomile and added it to the fire. She took the water containor on her table and took a measuring cup and measured the water and with a shaking hand she put it into her cauldron. She lite her cauldron and watched as it began to heat up.

She rested the side of her head on her arm and wondered how long it would take to boil. She looked around at the others and wondered if they were having as hard of a time as she was.

Josh nodded as the professor gave instructions. He then started to break apart the Lavender and chamomile away from the stems. When finished he added the them to the cauldron. Then slowly added the two liters of water. After that he lit a fire under the cauldron and waited for further instruction while it began to boil.

Andre broke apart the lavender and chamomile from their stems, put them in the cauldron and cautiously added his two litters of water, then he waited for further instruction.
