A young burnette stepped silently in the forest, trees towering above all around her. Auburn eyes wandered around, sword gently hitting against her at every step, bow slung on her back and all 31 carved arrows in their quiver. The mark of the forest on her arm, she continued on.
Then there was a crunch. A snap. A noise of someone following her. Turning around, Ceara's serious look turned to a smile as she looked into gentle black eyes of the unicorn Silee, her friend. Rubbing the creature's long nose for a moment, she wondered if they were going to come upon anyone else in these seemingly endless woods.
Turning to the "path" ahead, the half-elf, half-human took a step forward, and Silee followed after, munching on a stray plant here or there. The two had been inseperable for three years, yet it seemed forever to them. Not once had they been apart in that time, and not once did they plan to be. But now, Ceara just wanted to see another living creature's face besides her's and the unicorn's, human, arrow miss, or not. ("Arrow miss" was one of her sayings...)
And so they trudged on, the light gray unicorn and the elvish 18 year old "half-breed," as Silee called her.

Willow and Gwendolen were walking in front of Ceara, out of sight, after travelling for many moons. Hearing the twig snap behind them, Gwendolen growled quietly and flew up a tree, Willow jumping up behind her. From their hiding place in the tree, they looked down at who, or what, was coming.
A unicorn's head came into view first, and Willow relaxed slightly. She then saw the human, or was it an elf? Looking closer, Willow saw she was both, and relaxed almost fully. Though she saw the weapons, she hoped they'd need company, as she and her companion did. She gracefully jumped to the forest path, landing next to Ceara.
"Greetings," Willow said, eyes shimmering blue. "I am Willow, and this is my companion, Gwendolen." Gwendolen flew down from the tree and sat next to Willow. "May we travel with you? Travelling in a twosome sometimes makes you want other companionship; a new face in the group."
Gwendolen blinked her teal eyes and padded over to Ceara. She said something, but not in the normal language; it was a harsh, guttural sound that often frightened others. "Hrakr kranx lukra?"

((I did most of this reply before..but then the computer froze and I lost it. ><))
Ceara stopped suddenly, hand going immediately to her sword. Auburn eyes flashing dangerously she glanced over at the unicorn. Silee was pawing nervously, her breath coming out in snorts. The "halfbreed" gripped the hilt of the sword, but did not pull it out yet.
The pair sensed others, the unicorn smelling an elf...but something else that almost frightened her, for she didn't understand it... Ceara however wasn't scared at all, merely cautious and ready for anything, the glint of a fighter in her eye.
As the elf jumped down from the tree, Ceara swiftly looked her up and down, then let her gaze turn to her companion. Silee snorted again, nudging her friend in the back, a little too hard, but Ceara stayed upright, putting a hand on the unicorn's neck.
As the other spoke, the half elf nodded slowly, equally slowly letting go of the hilt, yet she only stated her name. "Ceara..." As Willow spoke again, the burnette hesitated, but before she could say anything more, the so-called Gwendolen walked up to her.
As she spoke, Ceara watched her, shuddering slightly at the voice, oddly feeling stocked, because she knew someone who had a voice similar, harsh and cold... Of course not speaking the other's tongue, she shrugged slightly, looking to Willow, still not having answered the elf's question. Silee had oddly mostly calmed down though, and stood behind Ceara, watching Gwendolen. Neither understood what the latter was saying, but the unicorn recognized it some...which made her feel a bit better, and Ceara's breathing told her that the halfbreed wasn't scared, which always calmed her some.

Gwendolen blinked and slowly turned to the unicorn, sensing a slight calmness and understanding. She tilted her head slightly and spoke in her language again, but slowly and slightly less guttural. She sat on her hanches, staring up at the taller creature.
Willow glanced down at Gwendolen and smiled lightly. "Hrkrn lankür," she said to her companion.
The Draxen looked up, firey tail flicking. "Nrx," she said, and looked back at Silee.
Willow shook her head and sighed. "Sorry," she said, turning back to Ceara. "She's acting rather weirdly today."
