The day was getting later, the time about mid after noon. The sun had past it's high point in the sky and had begun its daily descend, and the afternoon was warm and comforting. The Sapphire River, not far from this large field of wild flowers, sparkled and shone brightly as it rushed through under the sun's sinking light. The flowers danced and swayed about as they were touched by the soft wind that rippled and blew through.

A young elfen, no older than seventeen merrily came dancing into the Sparkling Field. Her eyes were shut tight, her head heald upwards to the heavens. Her arms were outstretched and her feet touched the earth lightly as she swept around in circles through that wide field, loving the feeling of grass on her feet and flowers...those lovely flowers that filled her nostrils.

She continued to spin for a long while, dancing and going about as if to an imaginary song in her mind before twirling to a stop in the middle of nowhere in that great field and gazing about herself. Her long, flowing blond hair blew gently about behind her, a few strands escaping now and then and her lovely tresses always falling down upon her back and cascading splendedly over her shoulders.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she plopped down in the grass, sitting there for a moment and letting her fingers softly run along the petals of all the different flowers that surrounded her. She smiled, giving a soft blow and watching as some loose seeds flew away on the wind and then laid back, gazing up at the lovely azure sky.

Her short green dress was unstained by the grass, and neighter were the lovely golden markings and designes twirling around and down the fabric. She touched a hand to her ears, making sure her earings were still in place, and touched the jewel on her neck briefly before rising to her feet once more, giving a soft smile and gazing about.

She wondered if she'd meet anyone today. She shrugged, it'd come with time. For now..she'd be playful and enjoy herself. And so she began spinning once more, much more slowly and this time her lovely green eyes showing, shining, sparkling delightedly. She smiled softly and watched as a butterfly gently landed upon her moving finger and she giggled, bringing the butterfly to her cheek briefly, careful not to touch its fragile, delicate wings before the beautiful bug fluttered away, leaving her watching it with a smile before she continued her merry, peaceful dancing and twirling, her flowing blond hair sweeping all around her in grace.

Another figure was at the Sparkling Fields as well, bent as she knelt on the ground, sometimes touching it. When she did this, there was a sparkle and a shimmer, then a rose appeared. She smiled softly, then glanced up to watch the girl dance about.

Standing up, running her fingers through her auburn hair, and brushing off her magenta-colored dress, she let her dull golden eyes follow the girl's every move before stepping forward, over to her.

When reaching about three feet away from the elf girl, Magenta smiled slightly, nodding to the other in a sort of greeting. "Greetings upon the rose, fair one. I am Magenta Rose, an' I am quite new to these...lands." She smiled a little once more at the girl before continuing. "Would you perhaps know where this is?"

Running her fingers through her hair again, she watched the other, waiting patiently for a response. The way she spoke may be foreign to some, but to her it was the way of the Rose...and the way she lived by.

Layllia slowed her twirling and stopped, had she been wearing a long dress it might of curled about her legs and fallen strait from inertia. Her long blonde hair fell over her shoulders until she pushed it behind her so that it flowed down her back. Her arms which had at first twirled along with her body that might've still been in motion now came to rest at her sides. She was a bit surprised on the presence of another...she hadn't known she wasn't alone. She at first couln't find herself, but after a moment, she began to speak.

"Umm, fair greetings to you...I am Layllia," she paused, looking around the large, flowery meadow they were in, then met the other's gaze with a smile. "I am also new here...and no, I don't know where this is exactly. But I do know 'tis lovely here and I think I shall stay." She paused once more, stepping back a step, as if to do something, "What brings you here, umm, can I call you Magenta?" she asked, wanting to shorten the name for her own easier memory.

The elf lady watched the other patiently, letting a gentle smile slip onto her face, though it didn't fit her as well as it would others. A slight breeze rippled through her auburn hair, gently tossing it back before letting it fall back onto her straight shoulders, though the owner of golden eyes paid this wind no heed. She merely waited for the other to speak, and listened when the blonde-haired one did.

"I see, well, then, I suppose we shall have to be new here together." She smiled slightly, then nodded in agreement. "Yes, it is quite lovely here. And I believe I shall stay here as well..." Running her fingers through her hair, an obvious habit of her's, she spoke once more. "Sure, most call me Magenta. What brought me here? Well, my own two legs for one, but I was just looking for a place like this, with elves like myself, people with elements, called elementals, unicorns, nymphs, mythical creatures... And, well, I found myself here, after exploring for many years..." Her voice trailed off, and she glanced off into the distance, as if remembering those many years that she had traveled, filled with as many wonders and adventures as you could imagine....

((I'd do more but I g2g.))

She smiled and nodded, gazing about herself briefly and then looking back at Magenta. "Yea, pretty much the same thing for me, as far as for being here," she said with a shrug, yet her eyes shining. "So, looks like I've made a new friend!" she said excitedly. "Hmm, being as you are mostly called Magenta, that could do, but no, because if you're my friend I've gotta nickname you," she said with a playful giggle. "Hmm..." she said, as if in thought. She sounded as though she were speaking her thoughts aloud, and perhaps she was, but one wouldn't know. "Now, I could call your Rose, but, neh, that's way too common." She paused once more, placing her arm across her stomach and her elbow in her palm, fingers stroking her chin for a moment.

"I've got it!" she suddenly exclaimed, and rather startling it sounded as there perhaps might've been an odd silence there briefly, and she held up her index finger as if she had just accomplished some feat. "Why, I shall call you, Relaira!" ((Don't ask where that came from o.0 LOL xP... pronoucned Rel-i-ra)) She grinned widely, and placed her hands on her hips. "Well, I suppose that we might want to get to know each other first... but, the more time we spend together the better we know each other," she paused, knowing she was stating the obvious but having not a care about it. "Well, shall we stay in this lovely meadow here... or shall we go exploring and see about some other elves in this territory and whatnot?" she questioned, grinning.

In honest, she really didn't care which they did, but she had to admit that if they wanted to stay here they might want to go and see about some other elves. Oh, she hoped that they weren't the only elves here, there had to be others somewhere... right? Still, even if there weren't she had a cheery grin and shining eyes. She waited patiently for the response of the other, yet was quite exicted all over. She giggled slightly as a butterfly fluttered too close to her long elf ear and tickled it lightly. She glanced at the butterfly with a playful frown, and then shook her head with a wide grin and turned her gaze back to Magenta.

((Long "e" or short "e"? xP))

Magenta watched the other, finding it interesting as how they were both elves, but extremely different...or so it seemed to her. Rose... With an inward flinch, the auburn-haired elf remembered who had called her that before...and found herself very relieved when Layllia decided against using it.

At her sudden exclaimation, she jumped a little. Then found herself giving a slight twitch at herself, pushing her action aside and listening to the obviously-more-upbeat elf. At her nick for Magenta, the latter stared at Layllia, wondering how in the rose meadows she had come up with that...Relaira?

"Rayleria?" Magenta seemed to have trouble pronouncing it for a moment..but found her foreign tongue finally slip over the word. "Relaira..." It sounded different with her accent, but being the best that she would be able to do, Magenta almost gave a slight shrug, and watched the other, not thinking of giving Layllia a nickname...

Get to know each other... Magenta found herself longing for that, to tell someone else of everything that had happened in her journey...yet also dreading it a little. She hadn't really spoken to someone, poured everything out, in a long time...and would Layllia expect her to? The lovely elf pushed it aside, bringing herself to listen to the remainder of what Llia said.

"I suppose we sheld explore other terrains...it doesn't seem like ais much over he'e anyhow..." She shrugged, her accent gently laid on as she spoke not so slowly, not so carefully, yet not going fully into her way of speech...quick, yet carefully spoken, and some words hard to tell what they really meant.

((Short 'e' xD))

Layllia smiled and nodded, "Yes, Relaira," she repeated with a grin. "I hope you don't mind," she said smiling. She looked about them, and then met the other's gaze and nodded. "Well, it is pretty here, and nice and all, but there is so much more in these lands to see, I am sure. Hmm," she paused, glancing at her back, and then sighed softly. "Too bad we're elves and not fairies. I enjoy being an elf, there are so many wonderful things about it... but at least fairies can fly," she said wistfully. She shrugged, "Oh well, so, where shall we go to first? Or shall we simply wander and talk and see what we see?" she asked.

She turned, long, golden hair flying gently behind her with the soft breeze. Lovely eyes shone as she gazed about a moment, then began at an easy, smooth pace. She knelt every now and then to pick some wild flowers and as she went along she wielded them into a wild flower garland, smiling proudly at it and then placing it on her head. "I love making these..." she said, turning to Magenta. "You want me to make you one?" she questioned, cocking her head to the side slightly and watching her curiously.

Her gaze wandered, "And, I think perhaps we should go this way, if you don't mind," she said, walking straight for the wood at the edge of the meadow, the trees casting soft shadows upon the grasses of the meadow and seemingly swaying and dancing in call to the two elf girls that stood talking in the meadow.
