It’s the Christmas holidays and the joys of the season are spreading around the world. It is Christmas Eve Morning and many people are traveling last minute to visit relatives, friends or lovers but for the people leaving Chicago Christmas Eve will be anything but what they have imagined.
A big windstorm has hit the windy city which is already covered in snow and the weather outside is indeed frightful. Around Chicago, power is lost including the airport where many people are anxious to leave. The storm is bigger than anyone could have imagined and now strangers are stranded together at the airport unable to leave on Christmas Eve. Will they come together and share the holiday with each other or will it be a not so jolly holiday?

Mathew FoxHistory: Born in the small town of Chittowana, Tennessee Fischer’s father Laurence Senior the 3rd was a well-known doctor in the small town with his proud wife Cicilly at his side. Being the oldest Laurence Senior always wanted the best out of his son but sometimes he pushed too hard, especially when he compared Laurence to his younger brother Jonas who was exceptionally smart and would prove to be a mini version of Laurence Senior. Fischer learned from an early age that he would never live up to his fathers expectations so he rebelled, first changing his name from Laurence to Fischer, his middle name. Throughout high school, he dove into the party scene turning to drugs and alcohol, which would prove to be a downward spiral that would come later on. In the middle of his senior year, he became involved with fellow high school cheerleader Allison Rivers that surprised everyone in the town, especially her father who was the local Pastor for the Baptist church. Laurence Senior became infuriated at his son’s behavior and threatened to make his son’s life a living hell, which he did which causes Fischer to get heavily into his drinking and drugs, yet he is able to keep everyone in the dark about his addictions. At the end of their senior year, Allison realized she was pregnant and 2 weeks after graduation, they wed. After graduating and getting married both Fischer and Allison realized they wanted to get out of the small town they grew up in, so they packed up and moved their family Chicago. Life was hard, especially when Madeline was born and two years later Amanda came along. Fischer who was actually very smart got excepted into a prestigious college in Chicago and soon became engrossed in his work but he still made time for his fun which was drinking. Once he graduated and got a job at the college Coroner, office life became even more chaotic and the more life threw at him, the more he got into drinking. It wasn’t long before his problem became public, he started coming to work drunk, high or both; soon his wife kicked him out and he was fired but he still didn’t think he had a problem. It wasn’t until he was in a car accident when he was sober, and irony played a definite role because he was hit by a drunk driver out of all things, he came out alive but now is mostly blind in one eye because he had a piece of glass cut through it; he also messed up his knee. After his accident, Fischer realized how bad his addictions had gotten and he checked himself into rehab. That was 6 years ago and he is sober now but of course, it’s not easy. Once he finished rehab he tried to get his life back together but its easier said then done; his wife divorced him and moved his daughters away and he hasn’t seen them in over 6 years. Fischer’s personal life might be in shambles but he managed to get a good job at the Chicago Crime Lab thanks to his former boss.
Personality: Fischer hasn’t exactly the award for having the best bedside manners, not at all; he tends to keep to himself and his constant lack of wanting to make friends tends to pull people away. He has an edge and seems to talk sarcastically a lot; he doesn’t have the best outlook on life but all this is just him building a wall around him so he doesn’t let anyone in so he doesn’t get hurt. He doesn’t always trust people but relies only on himself, but once he lets his guard down, which isn’t very often, he is really a great guy who may work a little too hard but he is a jokester, loves kids and is considered a loyal friend but he can be a hell of an enemy too. Because of his past he doesn’t party very much, too much temptation but he will occasionally go out but usually has to be forced to have fun and not focus on work. He is quite intelligent in many things but again he isn’t so good with making conversations with people, especially strangers, it is foreign to him so he uses sarcasm and rudeness to cover this up.

Reason they are flying out: Fischer isn’t a big fan of Christmas so he often works the shifts that people don’t want to take, he is flying to New York on a job related trip on Christmas Eve.
Other: Fischer is intelligent but never really applied himself too much, always thinking badly of himself since he was often compared to his younger brother. He doesn’t show off the fact that he’s smart and in fact, many people don’t realize how smart he is. He also has a slight limp and is technically supposed to use a cane or crutches but he doesn’t like people knowing he has weaknesses so many people don’t know about his knee injury. In addition, he is mostly blind in one eye from the accident but again has managed to hide it so people don’t know. Other stuff will be revealed throughout the RP.
