Welcome to Legacy Of Secrets; now we aren't too picky on rules but there are a few basic ones so it will be a fun enviroment!

Basic board rules

1. Respect the admin & mods of the board because they helped create this site and are working hard to keep it up.
2.Please respect fellow members of the board. This includes respecting the shows/movies they watch, books the read...etc because everyone is entitled to their own opinions. You may not agree but be respectful please.
3. No spamming; you can advertise your site but do it in the appropriate section and don't sign up for the sole purpose just to spam sites. Do not advertise inappropriate sites...[such as porn], that is not needed and most of the times those sites carry some kind of potentially harmful viruses for your computer and no one wants that.

Signature rules
1. There is a limit for your signature so please follow. The banner size maximum is 600x300 because for those who have dial up it will take forever to load.
2. No anti banners-[including shows/movies/couples..etc] because everyone is has their own likes and dislikes and no one wants to start an argument becuase of a simple anti banner.
3. Again don't advertise inappropriate sites and if you aren't sure if it is inappropriate then just don't post it or ask one of the admin.
4. Not required but if you use someone elses banner it would be nice and respectful to the artist if you say where you got it so the right people get the credit. Don't steal people's work to take for your own please.

Basic Role-Playing Rules-*Applies To Any Role-play That You Join On The Boards*

1. If you sign up for a role-playing game make sure that you post as much as possible as you able to do as your schedule allows. *Let the Game Master of the RP that you are in about how much you will be on so that they will know how fast your character will develop in the game.

2. If you want to talk out of character then use Ooc to do so.

3. Any in depth out of character conversations should be preferably carried in private messaging or in any form of Instant Messenger that you and the other person you are talking too has access too.

4. Monitor the depths of vulgar language that use as some is ok but not every single word in the game to be vulgar as it's not needed.

5. Please refrain from using the f word as I despise that word being used sorry guys but thanks guys for understanding my request.

6. If you have to leave then let the other role-player know. Then ask them politely if they want to freeze the scene or if they would like for you to exit your character. This way so they aren't stuck until you return as the decision of being stuck or not stuck lies on both role-players involved not just the one leaving for awhile or the night.

7. Everyone is here to have fun and enjoy themselves.

8. Anything is possible if you put your mind and imagination to it.

9. Feedback and proper communication matters so if you have an idea for the role-playing game that you are in then don't be afraid to share it with the other role-players that you role-play with.

10. If you have any type of concerns then please inform one of the administrative team so that we can discuss it together.

11. Please try to be descriptive in your posts so your fellow role-players can picture in their minds for themselves what you are describing to them in your posts.

12. Please refrain from using Slang especially net slang as it's hard to understand or comprehend a post that is written in slang. Thank you for understanding this rule guys.

13. Respect your fellow role-players and in turn they will respect you. Respect is key to having a good and smooth running role playing game.

14. Please try to use proper Grammar and English thank you.

15. If you want to play another person's character for them then you must seek the original player's permission plus inform the Game Master of how long you are going to be playing the other person's character for.

16. When attacking another person's character you must say `attempt` to inform the other person that you are attacking their character.

17. No character can be completely invincible as all can be harmed or seriously injured.

18. If a Role-Player determines to kill off a character then they can decide how long the character will remain dead for as there is no real death as the story would end too quickly then.

19. Kissing, etc. is possible as is slight descriptiveness of close interaction but use caution in what you say too and if needed use *Censored*

20. Short posts are ok but try not too make them too short as so other role-players have more to respond too then just a one worded post. I hope that makes sense guys.

Introduction To Role-playing For Beginners-

A role-playing game (RPG, often role-playing game) is a type of game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions that they carry out determine if they succeed or fail the task that they are trying to carry out. The choices that they make determine the outcome of the story and how your character develops. Role-playing games engage the imagination and creativeness within. Role-playing games are a form of interactive and collaborative storytelling. The act of role-playing a story can take place as long or short as the Game Master and Role-players want to do it for as if they wanted to that it could be series of role-plays being played out for some time as anything is possible.

When a player decides that they want to take part in a role-playing game then they must as their next step create a character to be involved in the story that they want to take part in. Every story usually gives a format of how to create your character so you follow the format to create your character. Once it is done being created you then submit it to the Game Master for approval of your character. Once it’s been approve then you may when you are ready to bring your character into the story.

*As for explicit scenes dont' go over the top and please put a warning on the title for those who may be offended. If you go in that direction there will be a NC-17 section so let the admin know and we will give the password out. Don't go over board please.

Thank You For Your Cooperation-Legacy Adminstrative Staff
