Ok, so the clan has pretty much fallen apart again... not like I need to tell any of you that, since the two or three of you that still read this allready know, but, hey, this is more for of a formal ending than anything else.

But damned if I'm going to let this site die completely.

With our gracious hosts over at TexasTeamPlayers having allready taken notice of our no-longer-recent demise and the subsequent removal of our residency and forums over there, I think it's time for a little... restructuring.

From this point on, Killer Beef is more or less done as a clan, essentially forever, though it pains me to say so. This is more because, at this point, another revival would probably be seen as a joke, at least to all of the veterans back at TTP; they'd all see it as the cycle repeating itself.

This is largely due to the fact that I can never really stay wholeheartedly dedicated to one game for an extended period of time- and by that, I mean years. While I've had two extended, hardcore Day of Defeat addictions, the first spanning something along the lines of maybe two years, the other maybe eight months - ok, so I pretty much pulled those estimates out of my ass, but bear with me - I've also taken some pretty big leaves of abscence from it. The same happened with Counter-Strike before it, which happened to be Killer Beef's first iteration.

Long story short: while I can stay dedicated to this site, and all of you guys who have been a part of Killer Beef over the years and helped make it the bastion of lovable insanity that it is... I just can't stay so completely dedicated to any one game to keep this clan up indefinitely, hence the death-and-rebirth cycle we've gone through.

So, I've decided to make it more of a social group.

Starting... well, whenever you lunatics feel like coming back and reading this... Killer Beef is an open-invite group. If you want to sport the -[KB]- tag while playing the game of your choice, come by here and drop us a line; all I ask is that you let us know you've got it. Since we're no longer a true-blue clan, if you're allready in a clan, feel free to wear it as a suffix to your name, as long as your leaders don't mind if you pimp the Killer Beef name.

As for the forums here... this is the heart and soul of Killer Beef now. Anyone that wants to chat it up can come on in and have fun; new subforums will be opening up, some of the old ones will be renamed and/or made public (including one of my favorites, the rant room), and the artwork subforum that's been sitting there locked for a few years now, as part of our deal with TTP, is going to be reopened!

Also, this is no longer 100% dedicated to gaming... meaning it's finally official, since we all know that there was plenty of non-gaming conversation going on before all of this anyways. So, for any new folks that happen to come along, if you're not a hardcore gamer, don't worry! There's plenty of other stuff to chat about, I'm sure you'll have fun here; after all, if you were referred by a member, you've probably got a sense of humor, or they wouldn't have told you to come here.

So, take some time once in a while to stop in to make some posts. Laugh, vent, taunt... just have some fun!

Here's to a new era for Killer Beef!

And, for those of you that remember this old gem:
"YOU CAN'T BEAT OUR MEAT!"

In addition to the major format change, I've tweaked the user groups a bit. The "Clan Member" group has been changed to "Veteran Member", so anyone that was a part of Killer Beef before the restructuring has proof that they're been here a while.
