Traveler's Luck?

Sheaka was lugging her duffel bag down the mountain path as she hurriedly made her way. These mountains were dangerous after dark and she only had a few hours left to make it to the village.
Shifting the duffel, she began to run.

[Tsukihime]

Suddenly, she tripped and fell on the hard rock of the mountain. Night was coming and odd disembodied voices were heard from everywhere.
"...traveling this late a night?" an eerie voice whispered.
"No doubt lost." another answered.
"Poor child, she will never make it.'
"Awww."
Suddenly a more substantial voice spoke. "Sheaka, what are you doing here?" She looked up into Luna's confused face.

Rubbing her chin, Sheaka glared at the rock. "Damn, near killing myself, apparently." She before pick up the rock and chucked it over the mountain side.
"What's up, Luna? What are you doing out so late?"

[Tsukihime]

"That's my question. It's unsafe here at this time of day, ah, night." Luna stared up at the moon for a long time, "I only came because I was visiting someone, I've recently made alliances with Goddess Michiko, Lord Sesshoumaru, and kinda unwittingly Demon Naraku..." She trailed off, "You best get going, the air is shifting, I feel something coming, be careful, I think it's a storm."

::i don't think so, roll with it. They're disembodied ::
"A storm? Well, you would know, wouldn't you?"
Sheaka jumped from foot to foot as she stied to shift the heat from the Mountain's Energy.
"Thanks for the advice, but I gotta get to Turtai Village before the Mountain's Heat kills me off."

[Tsukihime]

"Turtai? That's over five miles! You're going on foot?" Luna looked at her skeptically. "The heat's going to kill you if you're here too long. You could wait a bit for the storm, then you wouldn't be as hot on your way down. Then again, you'd be dreanched to the bone."

[Sh34k4]

"Five miles? Feh!" Sheaka waved her hand as though brushing aside an annoying fly. "Five miles is NOTHING. You should see what they made us run in the old days!" "Don't worry about me, I'll be there in no time . . . If I don't get electricuted or fried alive that is."

[Tsukihime]

"Nice to see you still have your sense of humor. The fire spirit here is obviously not happy with you on his mountain. Hurry because this mountain, can move. It can shift locations at night, Last night it moved all the way to Shiroi River, so hurry to your village." Luna suggested.

Hahaha. "That's not my village!" Sheaka laughed so hard, the duffel shifted on her back and she almost toppled over as she walked along the path. "Nah, that's just the place that set a bounty on this fellow," she pointed at the duffel.

Grinning with unholy glee, "Wanna see?"

[Tsukihime]

"As expected. What have you got to show me?" her eyes sifted uneasily over to the duffel bag.

::still walking:: Sheaka shifted the duffel around until it rested under her left arm and used her right to unzip the bag down 6 inches, revealing the well preserved face of a known mountain bandit.
"Never mark the face. Always can use it for recognition later." Sniffing with distaste, "Smells extra bad though . . ."

Luna scrunched up her face, "..ick..uh...yuck...uh...whew...decaying" She covered her nose. Slowly holding up her free hand she performed a summoning. A tiny white dragon appeared, perching haphazardly on Luna's shoulder. It took one whiff of the body and almost fell off, then carefully trying to regain it's balance. It held a wing over its snout and glared at the source of the offending odor. Luna looked at Sheaka, "How long have you been lugging that thug around?"

"It hasn't been THAT long!" She huffed as she gave the dragon a dirty look and closed the duffel. "Only like 2 weeks----tops."
Tossing him back onto her shoulder, Sheaka continued to lead the way down the now warming path.

"T-t-t-t-wo weeks isn't THAT long?! HOw can you carry that around in two weeks?! Ah...it's getting to me, that ordor is horrible, lemme get you to the village before I puke my guts.." Luna covered her mouth and the dragon disdainfully stuck out a little pink tongue.

"You mountian folks . . . Ouch! Shit! I didn't think it'd warm up so fast!" Sheaka jumped from one foot to the other as she began to trot--bag of decaying corpse bouncing on her back w/ it's signature cent leaking out to tantalize the noses of the other two.

"Yeah, sure. Thanx for the lift."
