Well, I don't have any memories from long ago like most of you long-timers here... I have only been "fan enuff" for a couple years or so.

But anyway, my favorite IceHog memories are:
-Motor City goaltender Rod Branch gets pissed and breaks his stick on the goal posts as the Hogs lead the onslaught of goals on New Years Eve 2005.
-Whoopin' the Mallards 7-0 last year at the BOB
-A 3 game road trip with Mr. and Mrs. KMC and Gluvsave. freak.gif
-Watching the Hogs and Wings go to a 13 round shootout in Kalamazoo
-Ulanski's shootout goal on Jersey Auction Night
-Meeting new IceHog and hockey fans. Thanks everybody!
-Welding over 200 cowbells for the booster club.

While it most of the individual moments i can remember have been posted.

Espically the .07 sec game where we scored multiple time with very short sub1:30 left int he game my best moement was a series of games.

The end of the 01-02 I believe season when we had no shot of playoffs and went on that run at the end of the seaosn with some nobody players as a few of the guys, Checco, Dumonksi, couple other i think 4 all together had been in a car accident on the way to a game so we finshed with guys who were playing for the love of the game. We ended the season beating teams and playing 100% effort.

That was the time i can remeber being the proudest memory of being an icehogs fan. As that is what minor league sports are supposed to be all about.

Robinson's empty net goal against the Komets.

That was very special, too.

So many memories in 8 years.....I will never forget the Brawl against quad city the 1st year where Kevin Holiday got sucker punched at the end of the 1st period and everybody was fighting....one of the best brawls I've ever seen.....I also can't forget the best hit I ever saw, (which was the 1st year also) a dollar beer night against the Madison Kodiaks where some guy got destroyed at center ice and they hauled him off on a stretcher....the best live hit I've ever seen, as that guy was lucky his head didn't get taken off.........And I will never forget each jersey auction, as I come every year for a jersey (even though I have lived in Pennsylvania for the last 4 years) in order to give back to the community I grew up in, and realize what a great hockey experience Rockford has been to me, even though I no longer live there. You don't realize what you have until it's gone, and I truly appreciate every Hogs game that I'm able to see when I come home for an extended weekend.

Maybe I'm missing the point...was Greg Barber on defense or something?

Greg Barber scored the GWG that sent the Komets home last season, effectively knocking that monkey off our back that we had to carry from the prior play-off series.

Sorry, Timmy! laugh.gif

March 14, 2004: Mark Bernard's temper tantrum, and his last appearance on MetroCentre ice.

Bernard exit 1
Bernard Exit 2
Bernard Exit 3

(note: these were taken with my first camera, and I didn't have a zoom lens back then)

November 14, 2004: Down by two against Missouri, Rockford scores twice late in the game, including Olivier Proulx's goal with seconds left, to force the shootout.

You know my biggest memory of the ice hogs has nothing to do with the game of hockey but of the fans. I remember my very first game. It was this year. My family and I decided to go watch a game and WOW!! We were hooked! I love hockey, but the Ice Hog fans made it exciting. We haven't missed a game since. I guess if I had to think of a memory, the first one to pop n my mind was this year against the mallards. We weren't even 2 seconds in to the game and had 3 fights! My personal favorite is when my 2 year old daughter walked into a store and yelled "your goalie sucks!" at the lady working there!!!!

GO HOGS!!!

A couple of years ago when Jeff Antonovich (spelling?) was in a breakaway 1 on 1 with the goalie (team I do not remember) & skated directly in front of the goalie & stopped to score from behind his back. I have never seen that before live at a game....what a goal! Would love to see a video of that again!
