Apparently you people know everything about everything and no one else is allowed their opinions. so the rest of us might as well just stop posting on here while you guys worship Corey Crawfords every move.

This is a message board for everyone to talk about their opinions, so you guys definitely don't need to be as sarcastic and mean all the time.

And just for the record, when that guy said "as long as he stays in the required blue area" that's when he was being sarcastic. He even said "my last posts were dripping with sarcasm"

And too bad the opposing team has hit Corey, and he falls down because of it and the other team gets opportunities. And half the time the refs don't even call anything! But yeah you guys are right, he should play the whole game behind the net..

Didn't I read somewhere on this thread, someone made a comment about people taking this conversation too seriously?

Can someone help me recall where I read that?

I look at it like this:

If you gotta come back on here and tell people that you were being sarcastic or funny AFTER you made a comment that got people riled up, then you obviously didn't do a good enough job getting your point across in the first place. All the backtracking and "what I meant was" just kinda looks silly and is usually followed up by "this forum is here for people to express their opinions" yadda yadda yadda....

It just makes for long reads and gets the topic derailed more easily because now the focus has shifted to something entirely different. SEE? Now I'm totally off track and have just lost focus on what this conversation was supposed to be about!

Okay. I was not the one saying "as long as crawford stays in the blue area at all times im all for it". I tried to point it out that no one really said they wanted him in the blue area at all times. I understand a goalie is going to come out of the blue area and play it. I'm all for him coming out of the net and stopping it, or cutting down the angle. Really, I understand all of that.

I really just wanted to come in here, and let it be known that Tubbs isn't the only one that thinks Crawford goes behind the net and tries to play it at the worst times. And don't get me wrong, I think Crawford is an amazing goalie. That's just something that me and some other people have noticed.

If anybody really cared, they could very easily go back a few pages and find out for themselves on who said what. Am I wrong?

I can't believe no one has talked about how much Palmer goes behind the net. I think we should start a new thread. Maybe even a new poll. smirk.gif

Now that everyone has (hopefully) backed off from being so defensive about their point of view, let me just add: posting your opinion is fine; that's what this board's for. That's all these posts are, are people's opinions.

Just be prepared to back up your opinion. Don't get all surprised and defensive when someone with a different opinion calls you on your opinion. It also may be that the other person has some insight from which you can benefit. And if it causes you to alter your position, don't be afraid to admit it. I have done so myself.
Honestly, I have never heard the phrase "cutting down the angle" before. They may say it on TV, but I don't watch a lot of hockey on TV. And I've never played it before. So because of this thread I have become a more knowledgeable hockey fan.

And if you come on here just to complain and be contentious, you will get contentious replies. Picture yourself walking into a bar that you've never been to. You see a group of people you don't know talking about something, laughing, having a good time, teasing each other. Do you just jump right into the conversation and stir the pot? What kind of response do you think you would get?
So when you come on here and complain and act bitter, don't be surprised when you get called bitter.

And finally, as a personal favor PLEASE don't lump everyone who has commented in a particular thread into one group who seems their only intent is to attack and contradict you. Trust me: I have met many of you in the real world. And all these screen names are not just one person signed on under several screen names. If ten people post in a thread and two people post something to you that offends you, does it really make sense to blame the ten as a whole?

I really thought hogs fans where smarter than this. Kind of a disapointment. If you dont understand why someone does a certain thing on the ice dont come here and spout off about it and then get upset when ur set straight.

wow where has this gone? huh.gif

So Crawford is doing wonderful and not only is Crawford doing well so is his backup Joe Fallon. The Hogs have 2 very good goalies. Lets just hope our offense picks up so get back in the winning column.

Go ICEHOGS!!
