Just curious, everyone.. I've been unable to find a seating chart that shows which side of the ice the benches are on and which side the penalty boxes are on. Could someone help me? I can't tell by the renovation pictures on the website... Thanks!

The penalty boxes will remain on the same side as the benches (this is what I was told by an Icehogs staff member last spring, although this arrangement is currently the opposite of what the AHL does in general)

The benches/boxes are on the "low numbers" side of the rink - the same side as the press box.

If you are sitting on the low numbers side facing the ice, the hogs enter the ice and shoot twice to your right. The opposing team enters the ice and shoots twice to your left. The Hogs benches are to your left and the opposing team's bench is to your right.

According to what I heard last Saturday at the game in Chicago from someone who knows, the benches and penalty box configuration will remain the same. The AHL want the benches to be bigger(longer), but for now Rockford will use the existing ones.

I got the feeling that is more of a time constraint--Nov. 2 is almost here!

I was listening to Stone and Double T today and they said they have been inside the BOB recently and think that they will be doing work right up until game time on opening night. They also said that they don't think it will be ready in time and that the BOB looks pretty much the same as it did.

Their advice: Don't expect to go into the BOB on opening night and say "Wow! This place is a palace!" It doesn't look much different than before, according to them.

You'll have big sweaty guys sitting in the penalty box in front of you to block the shots.

I have only been to a few games and have wondered where is the best location to try and get autographs from the Icehogs after a game? Is it possible? Any help would be appreciated.
