Work on M:I has resumed, and some sigificant progress has been made. Firstly, I am now working on a much better, more industrial Rubicon-esque texture set that will replace the ones you've been seeing in the screens. They look much nicer than I thought they would look, and set the mood nicely in-game. Some screenshots on that soon.

Also, I am working on AI and gameplay, I've redesigned the Assault Rifle, since my brothers thought it looked too weak. So I've changed it look much different, and heavier and more powerful. Some concepts and renders of that soon as well. I also worked on the storyline, and I've written out the plot all the way up to Chapter 4. smile.gif

Pics of all this coming soon folks, stay tuned.

Well, in that case...just kidding smile.gif I really didn't notice it before, but now that somebody mentions it, I guess it does need a steroid or two.

Nice to have you here Durandalski. But you might want to register.

Well, Rubicon amped up all the weapons and gave a more industrial look to them. Infested will be similar. I'd LIKE to keep the basic design, but it might not be possible.

What I intended to do was have the player use a special assault rifle designed specifically for him, but have the players allies use a slightly enhanced version of the old assault rifle.

Much better. smile.gif

I thought I had already registered, but I guess not.

Both would be muchos cooler than just one. Maybe have one better for long range and one better for short range. biggrin.gif

That's the general idea. I now have two assault rifles, here are the specs:

MA-80B Assault Rifle: This gun is an upgraded MA-75B AR. It's been outfitted with a scope and a longer barrel for slightly better accuracy. It still packs that 'ol greased-pig recoil, but the better accuracy and zoom feature has managed to keep a few more BoBs alive each day. The zoom feature being more useful for the grenade launcher than the primary function.

MAG-50: Originally designed as the "New" Assault Rifle for the UESC, the MAG-50 almost became a complete failure when the final design was found to be almost as heavy as three MA-75s combined. However, before the design was scrapped, it was shown to be extremely effective in the hands of the Mark IV Cyborg. So the weapon was patched up slightly and outfitted with special explosive bullets and given, as a unique weapon, to the Cyborg.
The MAG-50 has far superior range and power than the MA-75, but has only 35 rounds per clip due to the larger, and more expensive ammunition. The MAG-50 was shipped with a 2X scope and found to be very effective at medium to long ranges. Although up close fights were left to the MA-80B.

That's good to hear. I've always done my best to not shoot any BOBs. Well...until one of 'em shouts FROG BLAST THE VENT CORE that is...then all them green shirted BOBs better run for it!

LOL!!! tongue.gif Yeah, the UESC needs to give ALL BoBs blue clothes because I'm always killing the green BoBs when I think they're assimilated. smile.gif

Oh the humility!!!!

Cyborg: "Er, yes sir, 90% of those green BoB casualities were caused by me. Yes sir, I'll try to be more selective, sorry sir".
