Chane your Avatar, From your User CP

Well, most newbies don't know how to change their Avatar, or don't even know what an Avatar is. The Avatar is the image that you put under your user name and that appears in every post you make.

Here you'll learn how to change your Avatar.

First of all, you'll need to Open your User Control Panel (User CP). To do that, in order to do that, go to the navigation bar, where you can find your private messages, and click where it says My Controls, that's the User CP.

Once you're in, you'll see a page with your most important information, and a panel on the left. You are going to use that panel to change your Avatar. You'll look in the panel for the category called Personal Profile and you'll click in the option Edit Avatar Settings

There, you'll find the information about what you can use as your Avatar. The image can't exceed 25K, and you just can use .gif .jpeg .jpg .png .bmp formats. The size in pixels is set by the Admin.

In the bottom of the page, you'll find three different options to change your Avatar:

Pre-installed avatars: Those are Avatars that comes with the forum, and you can use them if you want to, but it's better to be original and have yours.

Your image avatars: Here you have two options more, use an image that is already on the internet, or upload one from your computer:

Enter a URL to an online avatar image: You use this to put the URL of an image that is in the internet, to use it as your Avatar. It also has the *Restore option, that you can use to restore your previous Avatar if you don't like the new one.

Upload a new image from your computer: Here you can upload one image from your computer. Click in the button and look for the image in your PC.

Once you've finished setting your Avatar with one of this options (Just one of them), click in the button Update Avatar, and that's it, you're finished.
