Windows Vista, Your opinion

Whats your opinion about Windows Vista? I have the Enterprise Edition, for workers and people in offices, but the Home Premium is for us gamers. I just don't like the way they copied the MacIntosh Apple, and the way they have the skin layout. Also the dock on the right, its huge.

State your opinion here.

I do not see anything ripped from OSX I love Vista. I have Windows Vista Ultimate, and although my comp can not run aero, it still looks amazing, and I love everything on it, specially the dock and the voice recognition

If you notice the right dock, the notepad, calculator images are exaclly the same as the Macintosh F12 feature. The gadgets to be more specific.

Yeah, Mac and Vista do have some similarities, I would much rather stick with my XP over Vista though.

I'm on my vista right now. And IFBoard looks pretty much the same. Not to mention that the speech recognition is very messed up...

But Docks are not a Mac creation. Even Yahoo offers docks with gadgets. And I do not know about the speech recognition in English, but it works like a charm in Spanish, I love it

No, there are not, but my Windows copy is in Spanish (I am from Colombia), so my OP's speech recognition is in Spanish (It depends on the language of your operating system)

All right, my computer is default English. So I'm guessing that my computer only as English.

yes, at the moment it is only English, but there is a way to add more languages trough Lang packs. Do you own an original copy of Windows Vista? Because if you do, you can go to Start -> All programs -> Windows Update, and select the language you wan from there. it will download it for you. (you must own an original copy of vista and validate it. It can take some time, the language packs are big. 200+ MB)

I Heard windows vista isn't the best of all.. i'd prefer windows xp pro .. sp2 .. like .. vista.. it can't have all the usuages and all of windows xp .. it can install less things.. can play less games and all .. :confused: ..

Windows Vista doesn't have much software ready for it yet. Although the new features and upgrades are good, the lack of available softwares, games etc, affect gamers, developers, managers, and even normal users, just like me, you and everybody else. I've been able to run SmartFTP with no problems, but my Firefox Tab Browsing feature doesn't work. You can no longer click the middle mouse to open new tabs.

I think i may change my mind, i think Vista may turn out good. i heard that everyone though Windows XP was a bit rubbish when that first came out.. and i think its exatly like Vista. so vista may get better later on.

I have XP right now, and will be waiting awhile before I upgrade to Vista; not big on trying brand new MS products.......

Windows Vista is great!
